We stumbled upon this place after touring Jimmy Carter’s boyhood home a couple of weeks ago. What a great lunch we had for under $ 10 — it felt as if we were back in our hometowns of 40 years ago, not only because of the reasonable prices, but for the endearing tributes to Plains High School. The food is simple but delicious, the service wonderful, and we both feel that this is a real gem of a place for anyone to stop and get a bite to eat. If it hadn’t been for Jimmy Carter, we never would have found it — I can see why he liked growing up in Plains, GA. Thanks for being there for two hungry, out of state travelers!

Nice atmosphere. This place is a tribute to the Plains High School baseball team. The waitress was very friendly. The menu consisted of soup and sandwiches. You can find burgers, pimento cheese sandwiches, club sandwiches, fries, fried green beans. I had the club sandwich. Everyone else had a burger and fries. The food was great, and reasonable. It I’d fefinitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

This was a pleasant surprise. We had the daily special which was country fried steak. We had the sandwich. Fixed to order, ample serving, very reasonable… just good food. Friendly staff and very clean.
