This the only hair salon in the valley I will go to. The people a friendly, the prices are decent and the place is clean.

I have been bringing my family to Lux Salon since it opened, and am always happy. The salon is nice, bright, clean and simple, They don’t keep you waiting. The stylists, especially LJ, are talented. I recommend Lux Salon highly.

My daughters and my nephews arranged a Mother’s Day surprise for my sister and I. My sister chose to have a darker color applied and me Carmel highlights. They also arranged for us to have wine upon arrival. First off, no wine. When they texted us to see if we were enjoying the wine, I was like what wine? Then my sister’s color turned out an almost blondish ashy brown with tons of grey showing. My Carmel highlights were only on one side and in very random spots. Back of my head a huge blondish spot. We were in shock from the whole surprise and didn’t want to complain in front of my children so I called later. They set up on appt to fix that week but I had an emergency abscess that day and my sister had to work so I arranged a different day. Later that day they called and said we would have to Pay because it was after our 3 week time for touch ups, which was no way true it was only 2 weeks! So our children wasted over $ 200 and I had to pay 90 with tip to get mine fixed. I went to a walk in place and the girl was just staring at it saying she had no clue what they did. «No rhyme or reason to it» were her exact words. I would never ever set foot back in there. They were rude and nasty about the whole mess but I feel bad for our children who really got ripped off.

I went to lux with long hair that was half way down my back. I noted that I just wanted it cleaned up for an upcoming event with no more than an inch taken off. He talked me into«layers» to give my hair body as it islong and fine(yet he thinned all my hair) and as he cut the first one assured me again that this would not impact the length of my hair. Apparently the word layers there means that you cut about 5 inches off the whole front of my hair(as it now goes to my chin) and you leave some shaggy tail like thing in the back. When I left, I just thought it was styled badly but that I could fix it when I got home. That’s when I discovered the carnage; that it is just randomly chopped and one side is much shorter than the other. It is hacked so badly that I can’t even have it fixed. One friend asked me if I was drunk and cut my own hair. Another asked if I had an unfortunate run in with a weedwhacker. The girl at Sally where I went to try to get extensions to hide some of it said«OMG Who DID that to you?» I can’t even just wear a ponytail for the next year because it’s not long enough to stay on the ponytail. I wish someone had warned me :-(
