I’ve lived here for a few months now and have absolutely no complaints. Staff has been accommodating, friendly, and professional. Neighbors are nice and peaceful. Close to a lot of shopping and dining. Living here has been a good move for me.

I too can relate to some of the old tenants testimonies of Hunters Glen in Plainsboro. I strongly believe that the management staff is committing dishonest acts in order to get more money out if tenants who vacate the property. I moved to Hunters Glen in September 2014 from Massachusetts for my company. It priced fair and my neighbors were quiet(which is why they’re getting a single star). After living here just a month, my company wanted to promote me to a flagship location north of NJ in Paramus so I couldn’t continue to leave here since it was over an hour away. I put in my 60 day notice, I was actually sad to go because I enjoy the quiet. I vacated on December 1ST, officially. I personally moved into another apartment in October because the commute from Plainsboro to Paramus was terrible. Prior to moving out, they called me to say they would be doing an inspection and that I didn’t need to be there so I left it at that. This was sometime in November, at this point I had almost all my stuff out. After I vacated and I reviewed my final statement, I learned they were charging me for damaging the apartment. It stated I left burn marks on tiles and some other tiles were also damaged in the bathroom. Mind you, I stayed at this property for 2 – 3 weeks before I left. Secondly, the stove is electric so there is no source of fire and I don’t smoke. I didn’t cook, I didn’t even have my cookware yet. In total, they were charging me an additional $ 1100. This was a concern so I contacted corporate and told them of the situation. 2 months later, corporate follows up with me about their decision and indicated I in fact caused the damages described in my final statement. They send me pictures of the alleged burn and I can clearly see the damages they described, I just personally don’t recall any of the scuffs or burn stains in the apartment. For all I know, they could have replicated the damages described just to get me to pay. I recorded a video of how I left the place and from the video, it looks spotless. The only issue had was I didn’t get close to countertops or floor tiles to shown details, it was just an overall recording for my documentation of how I left it. I knew it wouldn’t hold if I decided to hire a lawyer so I decided to take this loss and pay the fee. Lesson learned, review Unilocal testimonies before committing to places with bad reputation on up’n the fees on final statements. I emailed the property manager and said I would need a couple weeks to come up with $ 1100, I didn’t receive any response. I called a week and a half later to pay and they told me they have referred the matter to collections. Unbelievable, right? Before getting off the phone I asked how come I had to wait 2 months for a follow up but your property management can’t wait 2 weeks. At the end of the day, money comes and goes so I have settled this balance with the collection agent and luckily it didn’t effect my line of credit. I do not recommend living here and if you do, take many photos so you’re not robbed by these people. They’re completely dishonest and it is disgusting.

I still have not heard from Sheri, the Community Manager. Please have her reach out to me. I have been charged an obscene amount of fees when I moved out and I would like to speak with someone in charge who can explain the rationale behind them and have them corrected! Talking to the staff is useless. Thank you.

I lived here for a year. The apartments are OK, although a little old. Amenities are basic for apartment living – cabinets, vanity, appliances, all basic but functional. Multiple swimming pools in the complex but not maintained very well. I went to use them several times throughout the season and they were green with a lot of floating debris. I’m sure they were safe, just not too clean. The office staff is friendly and accommodating when you sign the lease and move in. After that you’re on your own. Not very friendly once they have your money. Don’t be fooled – Aimco runs these units as a business. This is not your home; it’s Aimco’s property and they will get every last penny from you in the most efficient manner. Overall the place isn’t bad, as long as you know what you’re walking in to. The rents are among the lowest in the area, but you get what you pay for.
