This was the best doctor experience I ever had. I feel great after only 5 days. I found the doctors gracious, and informative. The environment was exceptionally clean and comfortable. As a small business owner, I am so happy I found this procedure that reduced much stress that I would have faced with the typically procedure. For ME– I am very happy!

Beware of this procedure!!! Beware of these podiatrists!!! Dr. Robert Kirell, Dr. Ira Weisenthal-Footech Podiatry Don’t forget to ask should anything go wrong if the doctors are insured and don’t be surprised to find out that they are not! These doctors may come highly recommended and may talk a good talk, but you had better seriously check out their records before doing anything. They perform a unique procedure that no other podiatrists practice in the metro area.(some concerns right there) The procedure is called Percutaneous Minimally Invasive Surgery. it is guesswork as to what they are actually doing since there is minimal visibility. This procedure is not recognized among foot surgeons in orthopedic or podiatric circles and not recommended because of such poor results. My toes were slightly hammertoed so Idecided to have the procedure to correct my problem. I had procedures on three toes on each foot but done but at separate times. After the procedure Iwould have to wait at least one year to see any type of initial result. The following year my other foot was done but there was a toe that still hadn’t healed properly on the first foot. I was told to wait as it still needed more time to heal. Two years later both feet were done but four out of the six toes were not done correctly and needed additional procedures. One toe although was more serious than the others. It was left with significant bone loss and little stability. It was severely deformed looking. Each time I went to see them about any possible solution, all they would do is just wiggle the problem toe and look at each other perplexed. They never admitted to their negligence. One doctor even recommened I consider a toe-lenghtening procedure on the toe they so significantly shortened. After this long drawn out process and many follow-up visits, I have been left with deformed looking toes due to their negligence. Each day when Ilook at my toes I am immediately reminded of the awful outcome I was left with from these podiatrists. Ihave been to numberous specialists to seek corrective options but I was left with such significant bone loss to ensure any type of positive result. After making a formal complaint to the Dept. of Education, I found out that since this procedure is not performed within a hospital, it is not mandatory for them to have malpractice insurance. It is also their choice to have malpractice insurance, period-they chose not to. I have exhauseted my efforts in seeking advice from many attorneys who actually specialize in podiatric malpractice cases and was informed that these two podiatrists have protected themselves in a way that if there is any type of negligence on their part, since they have no insurance, you have no recourse; it’s as simple as that. I was also made aware there is quite a list of complaints against these doctors, just like mine and there is nothing that can be done. The only thing I can impress upon anyone contemplating this type of procedure to «think twice». In doing some research about this procedure,(after it was too late) it was noted by one doctor«never cut what you can’t see» since there is minimal visibility of the tissues, nerves and blood vessels. It was also noted that the very few doctors who perform this procedure were more concerned about the money they could make rather than the well-being of their patients. this makes so much more sense to me now knowing that Dr. Weisenthal & Dr. Kirell went completely out of their way to protect themselves from any medical malpractice or personal lawsuits.
