One Thyroid Center

Wow… thought I had found the answer to a health issue when I heard about One Thyroid so I called to check if my insurance would be accepted. This is always the first phone call I make when investigating a new doctor. I was told that they had no way to check if my insurance would be accepted until I came in for their complimentary initial visit. Wait. What? I’ve never heard of this before. Feels like a scam already. Get the patient in, convince me I need all sorts of uncovered services to get well, then I’m stuck with a huge bill I can’t pay. There are plenty of highly qualified endocrinologists around who, coincidentally accept my insurance and are happy to confirm that during an initial phone call, so I’ll be seeking help in that direction. Buyer beware.
