This is my favorite restaurant in Plainview. By far better than the same restaurant in Lubbock.

Replant ski style Japanese restaurant. First the atmosphere in here feels pretty classy. We sat down and the service was pretty good. You sit down and order what you want and only needed to wait for about 10 mins for the cook to come cook for you. I’ve ordered the Habachi Steak for a decent price of $ 12.99. The performance from the cook was entertaining and fun to watch. I ordered medium rare for the steak and I got just what I ordered. The steak was a bit tough however but the flavor was really good. I was correct to have ordered steamed rice instead of fried rice because my family ordered fried rice and it turned out to be quite salty since the meat and vegetables are quite salty already. I would advice to get steamed rice so that you wouldn’t have too much salt on your plate. Overall experience of this place is good. Additionally, the bathroom was pretty clean as well.

Favorite restaurant in Plainview. I was so glad this place existed when I found out I would be working here for 8 weeks. I always have enough to take home and eat for dinner. Highly recommended!

This place was so good 3 years ago it’s gone down hill a bit. It’s still good but not amazing sometimes my rice is over cooked & sometimes depending on who makes it. I’ve had Japanese food in 9 different states and Tokyo’s is 6th to the last I really hope they improve. It’s nothing to get excited for & You also occasionally still have my business.

A satisfying teppan experience. Beef and shrimp were of good quality. Kid’s meal had as much volume as the adult’s! Lemonade was quite weak. Staff who took the order did not know what miso soup was– this establishment’s version was a heady chicken broth with mushrooms and scallions; was good nonetheless. Overall was worth the visit–

Great place to eat in Plainview. Definitely not as good as the Japanese Steak Houses in California, but always good. We go all the time. I’d definitely say this is the best place to eat in all of Plainview!

I’ve never had a bad meal at Tokyo’s. In fact, I consider it the best Japanese steakhouse I’ve ever visited. Delicious flavors and decent portion sizes. I always leave stuffed! I only wish they would add carrots to their vegetable selection. Try the lunch menu to get more bang for your buck.

I’m not sure if the previous posters have been to a REAL Japanese Steakhouse, because this didn’t cut it. The atmosphere is clean and you feel like you’re going to have an awesome Japanese Steakhouse experience. I’ve dined at much better for the same pricing. The portion sizes are not comparable to other Japanese Steakhouses. Never been to one that didn’t have a sushi bar and did I mention NO Shrimp Sauce, white sauce, yum yum sauce. .however you refer to it. Very disappointed!

Greetings! It has been ten years(I moved) since I have eaten at the Tokyo Japanese Steak House in Plainview and I visited again there yesterday and found they have made some major improvements to the restaurant. The restaurant was very clean and the staff very friendly. I never had to ask for more tea as the waitress was always there to refill it. The food was delicious and properly made in front of us. One thing I have noticed wrong is the location on the map is incorrect. The restaurant is east of I-27 about ¼ of a mile and on the right(south side) — not west.

Staying the night in Plainview, we decided on this place after trying Cotton Café and left when we discovered they were out of food… Very glad that they were because Tokyo Japanese Steak House was fantastic! Although they don’t have the flashiest hibachi cooks, they are great at their job. The fried rice was delicious, I ordered the steak and my boyfriend ordered the chicken, both were excellent. Also you get a ton of food for your money, the salad was only okay, but the soup was wonderful and again the fried rice, vegetables, and both chicken and steak were great. If you find yourself in Plainview for the night, I definitely recommend this place!

Very good food at a great value. Had the hibachi steak, which was a little too salty(this is something I RARELY say, I love salt). The shrimp that came with it were amazing. My boyfriend ate at the bar, and the waitress was very friendly. A bottle of cloudy sake made the meal that much better. I was impressed.

This restaurant in Plainview, Texas is a diamond in the rough. We couldn’t have been more surprised to discover it. Every aspect of our experience was fabulous… so much so that I’ve gone back several times. Service is impeccable. Food is fabulous. Huge fan. If you are health conscious, I would advise against watching your chef make the fried rice although you will definitely realize why it is so incredible. I had been cutting carbs until I found this restaurant. It proved to be my downfall. One bite of rice isn’t nearly enough… and now I cannot stay away.

Yep five stars. This place is awesome and here’s why. Service, quality, portions(you better be hungry), pricing is conservative. If there is a down side it’s having to wait 30 – 45 for lunch take out how ever that is easy just plan for it. The chicken, shrimp is just too good to describe and I’m not kidding.

Stopping in Plainview for the night, this was the ONLY Asian restaurant that looked worth going to. Oh, wow! What a good call! About a dozen or so Hibachi grills wait for hungry customers. Yes, bring your appetites, because the show is great, and the portions are plenty. Classic Hibachi Steakhouse entertainment. Flying knives, shrimp and salt shakers. Lots of fire(the«Onion Volcano» is a definite hit). All make for great ambiance to a great meal. I had the Hibachi steak which came with fried rice, 3 shrimp, and vegetables. The steak was tender, the shrimp tasty, everything was quite good. My only concern(which is silly of me considering the style of cooking) is the salt content. The combination of salt WITH soy sauce, in a couple of the dishes was a bit on the salty side. But, PFFFF!, who cares! Drink more water. It was still good. And the service is impeccable! Constant attention was paid to water and tea glasses, clearing dishes, asking if everything was okay. Top notch hospitality. And it’s ALLINPLAINVIEW! So, if you happen to be in the area(or LIVE here), get on over and have some fun. You won’t be disappointed and you won’t leave hungry.
