I’m brown. In my opinion, humble or not, Asia Darbar is the best paki food in the state. All these reviews claiming it to be subpar are preposterous. Excellent food. Try the essentials like biryani, Haleem, the kebabs, Nihari. I loveeee the paya and Kunna gosht. The service isn’t top notch, but if you’re looking for authentic, spicy paki food, you’ve come to the right place. Best in CT. Hands down!

The place was located a little far from us and was relatively new on Unilocal with some mixed reviews but we heard some good comments by someone who had catered from them so we though we would try The restaurant is located in a slightly off location but is otherwise good looking, lot of parking and easy to find. There was ample ample space inside with multiple seating arrangements and we were seated fast. They have an extensive menu so trying everything was out of the question We ordered a whole range of stuff and while the serving time was slightly more than usual, the food was well worth the wait and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Things we def. liked: Goat biryani, chicken BBQ platter(especially the chicken tikka boti in it) and the chicken tandoori masala. The naans were excellent as well. Things we were okay about: Chicken karahi Things we didnt like: Nothing. We will definitely be heading over here more than once so I will keep updating the list and some pictures next time.

The best Pakistani/Indian food I have had in CT!!! Amazing delicious freshly made food that reminds me of taste from back home. I can’t stress how soft the naans are at this place, always served HOT right out of the over. I have tried almost everything on their menu from the Seekh kababs, Malali tikka, Behari kabab, Biryani, Nihari, and Haleem, and Samosa chat. I have alot of Vegetarian friends and the owners are always respectful of their needs and offer dishes like Palak Paneer, Chana Masala, Bindhi, Daal etc to accommodate their cravings. Overall I love this place, run by the sweetest family oriented owners, making restaurant quality food with a touch of home.

I can’t believe how I sit still throughout my whole visit to this place. I just got back and I am feeling nauseous! Ok! Maybe I am being little hypochondriac but how this restaurant even surviving!!! When I got there, it was literally DEAD!(red alert). So we find ourselves a table and this teenage girl comes over to hand the menus. Ok so she has long hair UNTIED, going east and west and I am saying to myself I hope your not serving my food. A few minutes later, this woman comes over, and takes our order. Usually, the drinks are served first, however, after constantly waiting for 20 minutes I finally get hold of this girl wandering around and asks her for the drink. The food follows shortly. Now my fear comes true and shes actually the one bringing out the food. I say to myself: thats ok its all good. Then she literally hold everything from the top, the drinks glasses, all utensils and food plates, I can see her nails .005 cm away from my food, and being a polite paki I remain quite. And not to mention, the amount of hair strands I found in the food. I just really wanted to get up and rub it on their face, but at this late, I was too tired to rebuttal or make a scene. The food is really below average. I kid you not I really believe the«seekh kabab» they serve is from actually KnN package. It has exactly the same texture. Verdict: won’t be back. Advice to the owner: please hire professional staff and make real food.

I have tried this restaurant four times and i am finally writing this review from an authentic asian food lover who was born and raised in subcontinent and has best taste and flvour for desi(indian/pakistani) food. I tried their food many times. Food is ok but lacks any taste or flavor– i have tried their many dishes but fianlly reached to this conclusion. Their biryani is 4 star but haleem and veges lack any taste and flavor. Kheer is like white thing tasteless which you donot feel like eating, vegetables i can cook better than this at home. I am honest about my review. In few words if you are desi/from india or pakistan who has a good taste for such food then its this is ok food. They have lot to improve

Epitome of good taste ! I mean every single word I write here. The amount of care and time they put on the preparation of each dish is unbelievable. Few of my friends had the opportunity to visit their kitchen and I would like to share just one of the observations which gives a pretty much good idea of the quality of their food. They examine every piece of mutton for fat deposits and remove all of that completely. Even a small piece is not spared. This is the kind of perfection thats achieved here. Coming to the cooking part, most of their dishes are slow cooked. Specially, their signature dish, kuna ghost(goat curry), cooks for over 6 hours in low flame. The right amount of heat for the right time which gives it an excellent texture. Needless to say, most of the meat they serve are tender and cooked to the right amount. You would certainly feel that it is unique and sensational. I feel that way every time I dine here. Should I really have to be explicit about the taste? Trust me, coming from India, I have had easy access to great Indian/Pakistani food back home but I swear this is one the best. They have literally set a new benchmark for great taste. Raised the bars so high that their only competition are themselves. First timers, I would suggest you try the following dishes. Chicken Bihari Kabab(starter), mutton briyani(signature dish), wheat roti, garlic naan, chicken makhni(signature dish) and kuna ghost(signature dish). I’m sure YOUWILLVISITAGAINANDAGAINANDAGAIN… Special orders — Mutton chops and mutton roast(1 or 2 days notice required). Worth ordering :)

Asia Durbar is the best Pakistani restaurant for tasty food… I am a regular customer at this place(at least once in 3 weeks). Their Goat Biriyani is so special, the aroma itself will bring you back there for sure. Just blindly order chicken bihari kebab/sheekh kebab/aloo tikki as starters, goat Biriyani, chicken makhini and kuna ghosh in curry items + flavorful special wheat nan/normal nan. Try everything… and I must say, great value for the money you spend there. Apart from all wonderful items that they have in menu, their mutton chops are awesome which is an off menu item and it requires advance order. please try their mutton chops(this is the best) and mutton pulav by confirming your order 2 days before your restaurant visit day. I don’t want to write more, please visit or you are missing some real great food…

One of my favorite places to go for Pakistani food! They really have the best food around. Some of my favorite dishes are the palak ghosht, kunna ghosht, and samosas. The naans are always fresh out of the oven, crispy, and soft. They def can be eaten all on their own. The biryani is also a favorite of mine. The food is spicy but so flavorful, and so so good! I highly recommend this place!

This is a GREAT find in Plainville for Pakistani/Indian cuisine. My husband is vegan and I’m eating gluten/rice/dairy-free for a while, and we were able to find several items that suited us both. The menu is fairly broad and has a lot of authentic dishes(tandoori oven, goat, etc) made from scratch with delicious seasonings. The naan and samosas are amazing! We ordered daal, chicken korma and the okra and all were really delicious. Portion sizes were normal — not huge and not small — and we spent only $ 30 for the two of us, which is nice. There is also a small market below the restaurant for halal groceries and meat, including a broad range of spices, teas, and rice. If you like Indian food, you should definitely try this place!
