My boiler was always losing water. Had a guy look at it they couldnt fix it. I called the guys at loewen, they figured out where the leak was, and fixed it for me. These guys were very professional.

I had a stacked washer and dryer installed that was purchased through Sears. They sent loewen plumbing to do the installation. The two guys that came were very professional and polite. They were perfectly efficient and even cleaned up the packaging material. Overall, quality service.

I would like to give negative stars here. Rude, unprofessional installer. The owner seems very nice, honest and unaware of his employees’ lack of professional demeanor-so he gets one star. Loewen was the contract plumber for Sears. They were supposed to uninstall a dishwasher and install a new one – The new one was the exact same dishwasher! The«plumber» –I put this in quotes because the guy who showed up didn’t look like he was dressed for plumbing – he looked like he had just had a manicure and a makeover on Queer eye for the Straight Guy. Before he crossed the threshold of my kitchen he was already saying«the dishwasher won’t fit». He literally never even touched the old dishwasher-didn’t even open the door-no tools ever came out of his truck. He tried to get me to sign paperwork saying the dishwasher couldn’t be installed. I refused and instead wrote exactly what happened-that he refused to do the work. I told him my plumber had installed the old dishwasher effortlessly. He actually left the new dishwasher in the middle of my kitchen and walked toward the door taunting me «Well, why don’t you just have your plumber do it!» Before walking out the door he look over his shoulder and waved the papers. «And by the way — no one is ever going to see what you wrote!» Was he threatening me? My plumber came and installed it without any issue at all. Based on my experience and the experiences of others here on Unilocal I do not understand why Sears, Best Buy, Home Depot and other companies are using Loewen. The owner needs to revamp his workforce.

Would give 0 stars if I could, alas 1 is the lowest I can go. Currently waiting for Amerigas to show up. They installed my brand new oven I purchased from Home Depot. It needed to be installed as a propane conversion. My mother-in-law waited for them and was there for the install. They told her to run the stove and that it would have a very strong smell the first time we ran it, but to run it for an hour. We ran it for a hour and it stunk the entire house up. Figured this must be normal if a LICENSEDPLUMBER is saying this. Ran it again to cook(oven) and it smelled again. Ran again last night and it just did not seem right to still be smelling, so I called Amerigas. They told me this oven was NOT installed properly and converted properly to propane and to cease using IMMEDIATELY. Seriously!?! Home Depot(and Lowes based on other reviews) should CEASE using them immediately! 3:40pm: Amerigas just left and said the plumber did not do the conversion on the oven, so it was just spewing gas and carbon monoxide and the flame inside was HUGE and out of control when he took the covers off and turned it on, also the nuts at the bottom were stripped out by the installer… two days before Christmas, I’ll say this, I’m lucky I caught this. But, I will be without a stove, so no Christmas baking or cooking. Bah Humbug.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Lowen plumbing and heating was the company contracted by Best Buy to install my microwave. We previously had a range hood hard wired so we paid the extra cost for the special installation for the installation of an outlet in addition to mounting the microwave. Lowen called me the week of installation to confirm the appointment but did not provide a time or window whatsoever. The voicemail stated that I would receive a call on Friday to confirm the time for installation on Saturday. I received a call Friday afternoon, the window of time the installers would come was 10am-2pm. I asked the woman if she could give me a more definitive time, as my husband would not be home early morning. She said they had four appointments before mine so they would likely arrive towards the end of the time window. Perfect! Or it would have been, but they showed up at 8am! 2 hours before my time window! WTH. The installer, Bob, took one look at the space where my range hood used to be and said«you need an electrician.» Ummmm, that’s what you are here for. So, like the other reviewers, Lowen couldn’t get the job done. I told him fine, I will let Best Buy know. I asked for the microwave, since they were delivering AND installing, and he said, «Actually, we aren’t delivery people. I don’t have to give you the microwave.» Then he left and sat outside my house until 8:45. He was literally inside my house for less than 5 minutes and then just sat out in his truck… And seriously did not give me the microwave. This is the WORST company I have ever experienced. I have used Lowe’s & Best Buy installers previously without issue. Lowen heating and plumbing seems to ALWAYS be an issue for EVERYONE. Not one good review?! There is a serious problem. STAYAWAY!

Truly unprofessional company from start to finish. About a month ago, my husband and I purchased a new dishwasher from Best Buy. This is one of their contract installers. They arrived at our house and indicated that they needed to do two additional services that were not covered under the $ 250 Best Buy instillation fee. My mother who kindly offered to be present for the delivery wrote a check for the $ 125 for additional services. At the time of service, they would not write a invoice nor provide a receipt for the extra charges. After receiving the report indicating that there were NO additional services rendered, I immediately called Best Buy seeking assistance. Loewen Plumbing promptly cashed our check and continued to not respond to requests for an invoice and receipt. Two and a half weeks of complaints and frustration with Best Buy customer care, I have finally received my «receipt». The«receipt» was simply a sentence with abbreviations and improper grammar. It incredibly unprofessional to withhold such an essential document for such a long period of time. Additionally, they have now addressed me as a «Mr.» twice despite my correcting them that I am female.

I am writing this for a peer. No good review for this company! She purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot. They sent out this company a third party, to install it. They came in and while she had an electrician at the house fixing the wiring to make all the electrical work smoothly. The installer would only have had to wait 10 minutes but rudely refused to do so. He left and left her with no help, no dishwasher and no water. She could take all that as she knows time is money, but she could not tolerate a young 20 something year old being so rude. When the company was called to reschedule the person on the phone was just as rude and unpleasant. There are so many great plumbing companies out there find another! T C Walpole MA.

This review is regarding the business and how it runs, not it’s onsite workers. My wife and I recently purchased a washer and gas dryer from an orange big box chain. We chose to have the(gas) dryer install performed by them as well and they contracted the work out to this company. The washer and dryer were delivered on a Thursday and when the delivery guys tried to hook it up, they found out that the hot and cold water hoses were stuck on the valves and the valves would need to be replaced. My wife called up Loewen Plumbing knowing they had installers coming on Friday to hook the gas dryer up, and explained that the valves for the washer would need to be replaced and asked if they could do this as well. She was informed that«it shouldn’t be a problem.» Installers show up on Friday and didn’t know they were supposed to replace the valves. My wife calls Loewen and they give her the runaround, telling her she never told them the valves needed to be replaced. We were told that the installers didn’t have time to go pickup the part and we’d have to take care of the valves ourselves or have another installer take care of it. When I personal called Lowen, they told me my wife had never told them about the valves and they admitted outright that they neglected to inform the installers of the need to replace the valves.
