My wife and I went for a mid-week dinner — we ate in the cozy bar area which is seperate from the main dining hall… the chicken parm was outstanding – huge portion with ziti and sauce, salad and soup… i really like the layout of the bar – it has a raised section with leather couches if you just want to grab a drink and chill or watch a game — has lots of sports memorabilia – next time I will try the pizza… the service by the blond bartender was very professional – she is a doll!

Can’t speak to how good or bad the food is because I never got that far. I called in an order for a large pizza with cheese on half and three toppings on the other half. When I got to the restaurant to pick it up, I was met with a man at the front counter wearing a sweatband and mirrorred sunglasses, who turned out to be the owner. When he got my pizza, it was a small. I explained I had ordered a large and he said they could make me a medium to go with it but I would have to wait. Not wanting to wait, he told me the small pizza was $ 5. I told him I wasn’t going to purchase the pizza as it wasn’t enough to feed my family. He then tossed the pizza across the counter and said«here, take it then». For an owner, his appearance and behavior was completely rude and unprofessional. I will never spend a dime in that restaurant.

This place was only ok. Their french fries and onion rings were not crispy which was a let down… they were kind of soggy. The pizza was ok… but they don’t put much sauce on it. The greek salad was really good… they even put spinach wraps on it. Seems more expensive than it should be too. Probably won’t be back unless I have to.

On our last visit to West Main Pizza in Plainville we requested seating for two. This gentleman, who was tallying receipts, told us to go sit in the bar. We stated we wanted to sit in the dining room. He then proceeded to tell us to either go sit in the bar or go somewhere else. We chose to go elsewhere. A woman who was picking up her pizza commented on how rude this individual was. We will never go back to this place again. And we did have a lovely dinner at Sax’s Pizza. We wouldn’t even give West Main Pizza one star.

Over the years ordered here and there, but a bunch of us ordered about 6 months ago and there was glass in the pizza. I know things happen but we actually had to have a policeman go down there just to MAKE them check the Toppings so it wouldn’t happen to someone else. We were told not to come back, like are you serious? I lost all respect for them.

Been coming here for years. Great pizza! Since I have been ordering here for years and years, I have seen that the large pizza got a little smaller and pricier but it is still big enough to feed a family of 4. They have the best sausage here, it’s the crumbled sausage as opposed to the sliced sausage. Love how you can actually see the spices in the meat — very flavorful. Small parking lot and kinda divey but if you’re looking for a regular pizza pie — go. No slices here, they cut in squares.

Good pizza but they have two price menus. Take out vs delivery. Same items for delivery are more?! Also the toppings never get to the 25% of outside radius.

Place doesn’t look like much but service is good and we found pizza to have crisp crust with generous toppings. Good family friendly place. We would recommend it!

ordered food for delivery and 90 minutes later it arrived cold. Cheese completely cold on my pizza and my calamari completely soggy from sitting for 90 minutes. I’m guessing most people got their food in a timely manner and had better quality food. I can only judge on what I received and mine was a step above dog food. Unfortunately I was headed into a phone conference and could not call the place to directly complain. I would think twice before ordering delivery. A place like this would never survive near my hometown(Philadelphia area). I’m so enraged at this experience

A great place for pizza and more. Never disappointed. Hometown feeling to throw back relax and forget your stress. Everything is fresh. Comes out hot. Wings are crispy calmari is excellent. And steaks juicy. Excellent martinis to top it off!

If you’re looking for a local experience, this is the place! The staff always treats you like you’re one of their regulars. The atmosphere is nothing special, but its clean and comfortable. All of the food I’ve has been well-prepared and tasty. I keep going back.

Classic Plainville pizza the best in town. The very best meatball grinders. If you grew up in Plainville this is the place kids went to in the 80’s and now as adults we still come back. Location has changed but same great family owns it and runs it. Food taste just as good today as it did then…

Been here for birthdays and for after football game celebrations. The staff is very friendly and very helpful especially when you have a group of kids with you. Price is good, and the Pizzas are great! I am from NY and I must say they have some tasty pizza, not NY style but still tasty.

This place has legitimately the grossest pizza in all of Plainville. They also have a delivery guy who posts photos on his Instagram of receipts with people who don’t tip him calling them cheap a**holes. I know this because I have friends who are friends with him on Instagram. So unprofessional.

They tend to confuse your takeout order when ordering more than one item. Grinders do not have much meat in them at all.

My wife and I went to eat here on 04÷07÷12 for dinner. The restaurant doesn’t have great curb appeal. The inside is dated but clean. We ordered a sausage, pepperoni, and onion pizza. It was greek style pizza and it came out promptly. I thought the pizza was good but not great and the service was very good. We were hungry and the pizza served it’s purpose.

My boyfriend and I were hungry and looking for something relatively cheap, but we weren’t expecting this. Wow. You could taste the fresh tomato. Mouthwatering!

Sports beer and pizza West Main pizza is not a visually sunning example of architecture. It looks like someone parked a double wide from the local trailer park where the restaurant is suppose to be. But I have a feeling people don’t come here for the ambiance and aesthetics. The building is actually larger than it looks from the outside but that isn’t saying much. A long hallway and register in the middle with a small dining room on one end and a bar on the other. The bar is cozy, just a few TVs and some sports memorabilia. Lots of cool Celtic, Red Sox and Pats stuff but also some horrible Yankee items. You can get cooties just standing near pictures of Jeter or A-Rod. I am tempted to take off a few stars for the nauseating Yankee pictures but this is western Connecticut so I guess the restaurant has to be diplomatic and mollify people actually ignorant enough to follow the Yankees. I’ve never eaten in the restaurant but have taken out pizza here on many occasions. I’m hardly a connoisseur of pizza but to my unsophisticated pallet and belly this is excellent. Lots of veggies or meat on top and never greasy. Most importantly, it’s consistent from one time to another and you always know what you’re getting. I’ve eaten in a lot of pizza joints and this is definitely in my top 10 percent. So if you don’t care about atmosphere or snootiness and just want some damn good pizza this is a place to check out. Just be warned that you might be exposed to hideous Yankee pictures and even worse, revolting world championship banners.
