I thought the food was actually good. I’m a vegetarian, and I had no difficulty finding food that I could eat on the menu. However, the service was terrible! Our waitress was just strange… And there was white sauce on my salad plate – yuck. Something else I noted, there was nothing in there to absorb sound, so it was very loud and just able every fork hitting a plate was audible. Despite this unpleasant experience, we came back again recently during lunch time. We were standing at the front desk for a couple minutes and no one ever came out to seat us. I would not recommend this place, but if I run into a Salvinos at a different location, I might try it again.

We stopped in and ate there I got the Sicilian Flatbread and chicken tortilla soup. The soup was actually the best part of the entire experience. The sandwich was not good. I didn’t even eat half of it and the I didn’t even taste any of the Italian vinaigrette, and the sandwich appeared to be burned. The service was alright but as a server myself it could have been better but they were pretty busy but it did take an awful long time for them to deliver our check which I thought was kind of ridiculous.

We had the pizza and pizza puff appetizer yesterday. The pizza puff is exactly the same thing that Uccellos has in the Grand Rapids area if anyone is familiar with that. The pizza was the best pizza in the Plainwell/Otsego area. In an area that Pizza Hut owns as far as pizza goes, it’s nice to have somewhere else that isn’t chain pizza.

Very good place, been there a couple of times since they opened! Pasta’s, Pizza, Calzone, Cheese Bread all very good. 10 Wings order good also, as you get a mix of drums and wings… and anyone that eats wings knows, the drums are the best! Service was very good and attentive. And the t.v.‘s…everywhere. Sport’s, Sport’s, and More Sports. If in Otsego/Plainwell, try it, you will like it.

Clean. Service was ok. Was very typical chain restaurant. Seemed kinda pricey. The sea food noodle stuff I ordered seemed over cooked and low on sea food and way over priced.

Very good Chicago style pizza, and this is coming from someone who experienced Uno’s in the 70’s. Had scotty karate on tap(seriously!!! So awesome). Had great service. If you want Chicago style pizza and don’t want a 3 hour drive, this is the place.

Salvino’s is a huge disappointment. Sadly, it cannot compare to Uccellos in Wayland. No one understands why they would not have brought the cook staff from Uccellos to train the cook staff at Salvino’s. I’ve given this place many tries, and this is my critique. Positives: * Comfortable and inviting décor. * Good beer selection. * The chicken Caesar salad is very good. Negatives: * Everything on the menu is at least $ 10. This would be fine, but it isn’t good food. o Their house dip IS good, but it is very small for an appetizer. A party of four would not get more than one bite each. This is more like a Tapas plate. o Their hamburgers are dry. Even if you order it medium rare. o The pasta sauces taste like canned sauces from the grocery store. o The club sandwich is extremely dry. There is virtually no dressing. o Beware the chicken wings. You’re supposed to get 10 wings with celery sticks. You get 5 wings, 5 leg drummies and 3 small(very small) pieces of celery. Really? The good news is that someone will buy them when they go under due to the extensive renovations. So, there is hope that something will replace them that is MUCH better.

It wasn’t terrible. I was told before I went that it was created by the same guy who brought us Uccellos. Low and behold, the menu was almost the same(from what I can remember), pizza puffs(labeled as «dippers») and all! I ordered the meat and bean burrito, which wasn’t spectacular… just very average. Our waitress wasn’t very nice. Maybe she just has a severe case of resting b**** face, which is always disappointing from someone who knows they are making their money by being good at their job(most of the time! I know there are jerks out there who don’t understand the tipping concept). The décor is very nice, but don’t be fooled. It’s still a loud sports bar, not a nice Italian restaurant.

Tried it again and it was much better. The Stromboli are huge and totally shareable. The salads are good! 1.50 drafts on bike night which is cool.

Stopped for an early dinner today, 5:30. Got seated quickly. We both ordered a pasta. DH had the penne with meat sauce and added Italian sausage. It was a nice portion, the fresh basil was also good. The sauce was a bit sweet but good. I had rigatoni with half meat sauce and half Alfredo. It was very good. We will go back and try something else next time.

Still using hamburger buns for bread with dinners. What a disappointment, especially since management messaged after my first review that this«problem» was fixed! Don’t know why they don’t make bread sticks like they had on their buffet. Those were good!

Eh. Sorta kinda ok. Not really a huge fan of the food here. Drinks pretty pricey. Need to offer more specials to compete with other sports bars. I ordered cheese tortellini. The sauce tasted weird like it was going bad. Onion petals are good. Not sure how soon we will be back though.

Our first experience here fairly positive. Nice, clean place, nicely updated from previous places. Extensive menu(maybe too extensive?), excellent service. My husband enjoyed his Italian sub and the fact it was baked. My minestrone soup was good, had some obviously canned ingredients, but no pasta in it, just like in Italy. It hit the spot on a chilly day. We will be back to try more things. I hope they continue to please, as there are very few good options for restaurants in Plainwell!

The service saturday night was horrible. They sat several couples that came after us before they sat us, because they skipped a page. The manager blew us off when it was mentioned to him. Took 40 mins. Another 10 for wait staff, 15 to get a bottle of beer, and an hour to get our food. Horrible! I will say the food was great, but not worth over 2 hours there. Wont go back.

Stopped at Salvino’s on Saturday afternoon with my fiancé. Service was very slow. The salad came out first. Dressing was supposed to be Caesar. Dressing was sweet definitely not Caesar. Food finally arrived. I ordered a vegetarian sub, nothing special, my fries tasted like fish. My fiancé ordered cheese tortellini, very bland. The sauce had no flavor. We will give them another try by ordering pizza. By the way don’t order the ice tea, it wasn’t very good. If you are craving Italian food drive passed Salvino’s and go to Mancino’s.

I enjoyed my buffalo chicken pizza so much i decided to order it as take out and have my fiancé pick it up-the only problem is they added different toppings to this one and it tasted totally differnt. i called and spoke to a manager and she refunded the $ 14 we spent. I hope they get their act together sooner then later :) After my 3rd attempt with them I’m sorry to say I won’t return-unless they comp my meal

I go up here open minded. Sauce was horrible crust was decent. Finished product looked great. But the sauce made it one of the worst pizzas ever. The girl said they have a chicago style pizza. The menu said stuffed. If they do one that is truly a stuffed chicago. I would recommend stayimg away from a stuffed. It tasted like canned spaghetti sauce. Now acceptable is all that is expected by me. The chain places blow this out of the water. Next just fyi execpt for deep dish, and stuffed, or a place selling it by the slice. I have never seen triangles. In a place that knows how to make pizza. Keep in mind, fromerly from the Chicago area. It looks like a lot of money was spent here. Now they just need a good cook.
