Danos Pizza and Subs

I used to work around the area so I would end up eating here more than I normally would. The steak subs are huge. i got a chicken kebab salad? one time, that was really good. the pizza is blah. i ordered a turkey club one time and i literally got deli turkey slices on 2 slices of whole wheat bread. i pointed out its missing everything a club sandwich is and they remade it for me (it wasn’t that great after all even with all the ingredients.) It’s really average, not bad, but not the best either — depends what you order. I have always had good customer service though.

I’ve lived in Plaistow for 6 years. Moved here from Boston. It’s been tough to find the right pizza place. If I did, it would be a weekly ritual. I tried Dano’s based on the reviews and the stars in Unilocal.Ordered boneless buffalo tenders and a large, half veggie, half pepperoni. The timing was excellent. The boneless buffalo tenders were tangy and not over-​sauced and perfectly cooked. The pizza was less than desirable. The crust is thin. At the end the crust tastes like a dry cracker, waxy and unappetizing. A thin crust means it cooks faster so whatever goes on top has to be as dry as possible. Otherwise it would be a soggy mess. Well, the pizza was perfectly cooked, but because of the thickness it didn’t have much sauce at all. The toppings were fine but toppings are common anywhere. Dough and sauce separate the average from the delicious. I had one piece. My girlfriend couldn’t finish hers. If you like bland, average pizza with very light sauce and thin crust… this is your go-​to. I will have to keep looking. Maybe plaistow pizza will be next.

Food was not good and the service was worse if I could have given zero stars I would. Pizza was barely cooked and the sauce tasted minty, only from what I can assume was because of some sweaty man wearing heavy after shave dripping their sweat into the sauce, gross I know but that is what I pictures after eating it. I could not even choke the pizza down

Always consistent. Usually order the chicken kebob salads. Love their chicken fingers and wraps too. Usually don’t order pizza because I’m not a huge fan of Greek pizza. Everything else is great!

We’ve lived here for 15+ years and Dano’s has been a pretty stable go-​to place for greek-​style pizza and subs. The best thing about them is they are consistent. We’ve been ordering the same menu items for years now, and our kids have their favorites too, and you can rely on them to get it right and make your pizza, cheeseburger sub, (insert your favorite item here) right and get it to you hot and fresh.

Your standard pizza and sub shop that does everything right with no frills. Hot, fresh pizza and giant overstuffed subs are a guarantee and I’ve never had a problem with an order. Friendly staff and clean inside, catering to a lot of regulars but it’s also become my go to for pizza or a sub during the rare times I’m in the area.

Chicken finger subs are great. pizza is horrible sauce is disgusting any time we get it the dough is undercooked … Fast friendly service .fast delivery … If u get fries make sure you ask for them to be well done or they will be very soggy. Try the subs stay away from the pizza

Always good food, I come here for the subs, which are excellent. They have an easy online ordering system, which is practically unheard of for a small, local business, so that’s definitely a plus. Service is great, always friendly, prices are good too. Food always arrives promptly and our order has never been messed up once. I’ve been going here for 20+ years, since I was a little girl to get Italian subs with my dad, so I guess there’s a nostalgia factor there too.

Without a doubt best pizza in Plaistow. Great sauce. Easy on line delivery system, friendly service.

Pizza wasn’t bad, but nothing to write home about. Fries were basic but the poppers were good, so my wife says.
They have a deal for 25% off if u register online so now’s the time to try.

Haven’t tried the pizza but everything else we’ve had has been consistently fresh and tasty. Husband loves the Gyro dinner. I like the chicken tenders or Greek salad — really generous big pieces of Feta. French fries are great.
Dinners are generous sizes and come with pocket bread and the tastiest little side salad — love the dressing. You can order online for delivery. I ordered a chicken kabob dinner online and skipped the fries, they called seconds later to see if I wanted a substitute, when I didn’t they adjusted my total down which I thought was pretty awesome. Better than the fast food at the other end of 125 :)

I was in the area wanted to grab a quick pizza. I pulled inhere as I am not familiar with the area. The pizza was the worst I have ever had. It was soggy, the dough had holes in it and was pieced together, and the pizza was flavorless.

I was at Home Depot down Rt 125 and I had to pick up some pizzas for the work crew.
I called in while on the road. while not ever having seeing a menu– the order taker did a fine job answering all of my questions and inquirys.
Ordered 2 large pizzas, buffalo chicken strips, and it all came out piping hot and delicious.
They even gave us a free small cheese pizza which was a nice surprise.
I am a fan!

They are pretty hit or miss depending on what you order, so I stick to my main things. I like the online order and deliver thing. its convenient. The prices are pretty fair and what we order is usually tasty. Now with the new traffic pattern you can pull into the stateline pet parking lot and get thru that way.

Stopped in on our way through Plaistow. Personally, I thought the pizza was good, the service was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable.

Great pizza, overflowing dinners, for the price you can’t go wrong, the cheeseburger dinner is two burgers, with fries and salad, two burgers, everything is made to order so the fried are not getting soggy under the heat lamps. At lunch on Sunday you will wait, call ahead and Cary it home. We are up here every other weekend.

Excellent take out. Sandwiches were great and fresh.

great food being fairly priced is always a great equation. we typically get their subs which are delicious and are way too big (see pic) but you certainly feel like you get what you pay for. when we’ve tried other things we haven’t been disappointed — I’d recommend for sure.

We eat here when im visitng family. They have big portions for some things. A burger plate… you get 2 burgers and a bunch of fries. We got a side of onion rings and it was huge. I am a fan of this place and always have been since i was a kid.
Thet have good fried apps like jalapeño poppers, fried zucchini, mozz sticks, onion rings, fries etc.
