NBT Contractors

I signed a contract with NOEL TORRISSI of NBT Contractors from Plaistow, N.H. in July 2014 to rebuild my house after experiencing a total loss of my home and all the contents. This was a substantial insurance claim. After a year the 1^st and 2^nd floors are nearly complete shy some major defects in workmanship, broken windows not replaced, no back splash in the kitchen and fireplace not installed. He walked off the job in May 2015. After refusing my calls and e-​mails for 2 months we finally talked and agreed on a restart date. He has ignored 3 scheduled dates thus far and is asking for MORE money. I have a message on my cell phone where he threatened me. The job is 2/3^rd’s complete and he has ALL the insurance money. Major issues in the completed work include: badly warped hard wood floors throughout my home, an upstairs bathtub that drains through my kitchen ceiling, basement utility sink that drains in the garage floor, an electrical outlet that doesn’t work, light fixtures not yet installed, an old vent in the roof simply covered with a loose shingle. The basement/​garage are barely started. I won’t go on.
I have filed a complaint with the Reading police department and am in the process of filing complaints with the Attorney General’s Office both in N. H and MA. I am consulting an attorney and considering contacting one of the news channels for their public service help.
Don’t be fooled by his sweet, kind demeanor. He can not be trusted. He will tell you everything you want to hear but then totally ignore you. You do not want to be involved with Noël Torrissi of NBT Contractors.
