The sushi here is amazing! I usually order take out from here once a month and get the NH roll or fashion roll. I’ve order other special sushi rolls from here and they’ve always been good and fresh. The staffs are nice and the place is clean. Can’t wait to come back for more sushi!

Tucked away in a small plaza it would be easy to miss this place. We found it through Unilocal and have gone several times. Excellent food, great sushi and very clean. It’s quite small, but is an excellent place to go for some outstanding food.

Good ol’ dependable Sushi Time. Most-visited joint by both myself and my girlfriend while we were living in Massachusetts. We came here as often as we could for both the cheap and delicious takeout, and the quirky, low-key dining experience. We love their vegan sushi, and it’s nice to find some variety in the category as well. Our favorite roll was the Arizona(purchased by us countless times), but we normally got the sweet potato steamed instead of fried(gluten allergies for both of us.) They always obliged without a problem, which we appreciated. And whatever that sauce was on top of it… delicious. Other than the Arizona, we could never go wrong with the simple avocado roll. Good prices, great service, and awesome sushi. We have yet to find a comparable sushi go-to here in California! Sushi Time is certainly one-of-a-kind. Don’t miss it.

The atmosphere is typical for hole-in-the-wall ethnic food. But the sushi is perfect. The NH roll is our favorite. Fresh, beautiful and oh, so yummy! Our non-sushi eating daughter enjoys their selection of other Asian foods. But go for the sushi-and saki, if that’s your thing. They have an odd tradition of squirting saki in your mouth with a squeeze bottle, if your up for it. Clearly, most of the regulars enjoy this. Fortunately for us, it isn’t expected and shaking your head is enough to have the server skip right by you.

I did not try acutal sushi, so I may update this review later if I go for sushi only. Good sized portions, food looks good and fresh. Got the beef terryaki bento box, and I literally could not chew through the beef. Never had that happen before. Had to spit it out. White rice and california roll were decent. Shumai dumpling was ok, but nothing special. The miso soup had good flavor but the seaweed wasn’t soft enough. Had to keep on chewing it more than I do in other miso soups. Salad was iceberg. I appreciated the attempt for a different dressing — this appeared to be a sort of carrot dressing. However, it wasn’t that great. Atmosphere was casual, and the sushi bar and liquor bar were pretty and set up nicely. The terryaki sauce and onions in the main dish had good flavor; I just wish I could have chewed through the beef…

This is by far my favorite sushi place near me. The staff is always super friendly and quick. When ever I order take out it is always ready. The luncheon specials cant be beat. Try the Double Spicey Roll! My husband loves their House fried rice because it is full of large pieces of meat instead of those little rubbery pieces of pork you get most places.

Sushi was mostly ok, but nothing special. Spicy tuna and salmon rolls were minced rather than chunks of fresh fish. Salmon sushi was pretty good, but tuna sushi was tough, like it wasn’t sushi grade. Nothing wrong, just nothing special…

Always a great date night experience. The place is a little small and can get loud but that adds to the atmosphere for us, that’s the way a real sushi house sounds. The drinks are always strong and tasty. I hate to leave a general comment but we have been going there for years and I have yet to have one piece of sashimi or roll that wasn’t fresh and tasted excellent. They will shoot sake directly into your moth from bottles, lol! Take your boyfriend and good it will be a great date night, sit at the sushi bar.

I don’t have one bad thing to say about this place, except that it needs to be closer to my house. MORESAKI! MOREFUN!

Sushi quality is fine, I like their wide selection of maki. Chinese food is just okay, nothing to make a lasting impression. The service is really lacking. not that our server was rude, just not particularly attentive or even present. considering we were one of 2 tables, that’s unacceptable and makes for a terrible atmosphere. The servers should really eat their dinner in the kitchen, it’s so awkward for me to interrupt YOUR meal and remind you to take care of mine. All in all the whole package is not terrible, just not fantastic either. I’ll probably go back because I live so close, I just won’t be excited about it

Second time here, quality of my 2 rolls was good and the vegetable udon as well. I just wish the staff was more friendly. My waitress had zero conversation skills and(for only being the second table in the place) was oddly never around. But it’s an adorable little hole in the wall and I’m not going to knock them down just for maybe someone’s bad day. Worth a shot if you’re in the area, just sit at the sushi bar.

Stopped in for lunch for the first time after 10 yrs of living in haverhill. When my wife and I walked in, we were surprised that it’s actually not as bad as what we were told. «A dump». It’s nicely decorated and very clean. Their employee’s first reaction was like a Chinese is in here, they are spying on our business. LOL. Yes I felt that way. Food was okay, we’d ordered salmon bento box, chicken bento box and I ordered an extra Szechuan chicken lunch specials. Omfg! Their chicken was battered? So weird, cuz i had the same meal every time at every chinese restaurant. They actually used something like General Gaus chicken, which is battered chopped them up and served them as Szechuan chicken aka Kung Pao chicken. Chicken teriyaki was very dried, and hot and sour soup was nothing like any other chinese restaurant. But at least I have one good meal out of three. 3 stars for now, but will revisit and see what they have for the rest on their menu.

Beyond beyond horrible service! When did this place get so slooooow… 50 minutes wait after ordering uncooked sushi is just unacceptable. and no apology or offer for more drinks. Wait staff didn’t even check in with us or give us a status update and the place wasn’t even full! So horrible we walked out, Do not plan on going back.

Eat in or take out, this is my favorite sushi spot in the merrimack valley area. Sometimes very packed but if you hit just right you can have the whole place to your self. Take out time is very quick even when not calling ahead. Staff is very friendly and always willing to offer suggestions or accomidate cravings.

Best sushi around Haverhill and Plaistow :) sweetest, nicest staff, excellent and always fresh sushi. I’m pretty much a regular here and I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. They even go around with free sake that they squirt in your mouth(for everyone over 21) and say«more sake more lucky!» Love the pink lady, white mountain, passion rolls and their miso soup! And the sake of course ;)

One of my favorite sushi places in the northern Mass, southern NH area and a must every time I’m in town. Love their vast variety of rolls, fresh fish and their willingness to uncrunchify(take out the tempura) their spicy rolls so that they are a bit healthier(and to me tastier). I can do with out the sake spray bottle thingy, last time I was there they didn’t do that so maybe they stopped… It’s a small place, I’m not sure they take reservations but if you are going on the weekend you might want to check!

The hubby and I went to Sushi Time for lunch. This place is very small, but cute. We started off with 2 martinis which were quite strong. My hubby does not eat any sort of seafood, so he ordered sweet & sour chicken with beef teriyaki and boneless spareribs with steamed rice and I ordered 2 sushi rolls… both were on the lunch menu. I liked my lunch, but my husband didn’t like the smell/taste of his steamed rice, but he thought the other items were good. We thought the service was great. Very friendly and fast service. I will definitely go back for the sushi. My husband, on the other hand, will probably not go back.
