I am visiting family in IL and was told we had to stop here to grab some cereal because it’s only $ 2. Upon first walking in, there are shopping carts outside where you have to insert a quarter to use.(I later found this out, after struggling with the shopping carts and giving up when they wouldn’t unchain.) Once inside, this place is a maze. Aisles filled with crackers, cereal, nuts, produce, meat, dairy, canned goods and even seasonal goods(non-edible). I was awestruck and super excited at the same time. Since we didn’t have a cart and no bags, I had to keep my first shopping trip to what I could carry.(I purchased the said cereal, a bottled coffee drink, and some dried cherries — all for under $ 10.) I couldn’t wait to come back and finally did with a shopping bag in tow. This time I grabbed chocolate, more bottled coffee drinks, chips, multiple gourmet cheeses, more dried cherries and fresh blueberries. All of this for a steal!(Think a large container of blueberries for $ 0.99 and a bag of chips for $ 1.79.) Oh boy, I’m in love. Truly, madly, deeply in love with this store. I can’t wait to come back and see what else I’ll find next time. They better open one of these up in my hometown!
