Asia Grill Thai Fusion

I’ve been coming to this place since I discovered it well over a year ago. The restaurant has changed hands a few times, but the previous incarnations didn’t last as long as Asia Grill.
The interior is very warm and friendly. The booths are comfortable and high backed, so they give a sense of privacy even though it’s very open.
The service I’ve received is excellent. The waiter and waitress are very welcoming, and will stay for a chat if they have time. They’re great people to get to know.
The food is very good. The tom kha noodle soup has a lot of flavor, and makes for a satisfying meal. Just watch out for the pepper of doom! Their mango with sticky rice dessert is one of the most pleasant desserts I’ve had. The simple flavors of cocunut and slices of mango mix extremely well.
Their pad thai is the best I’ve had in the area: It has a lot of flavor, and doesn’t become a solid mass if not eaten within 30 seconds of receiving the meal. The crunchy version of the pad thai makes for a great snack with the right beer.
Which brings me to the next awesome thing about this restaurant. Their BYOB policy is fantastic. I can bring whatever beer I wish and not pay the premium I’d pay at most restaurants for their lousy beer selections. They’ve allowed everything from a Sam Adams seasonal, to a Spaten mini-​keg for the larger group of friends.
I am definitely a fan: 4-​stars.

Mmm, how to describe this restaurant?
It used to be a noodle place named «noodle ave» or sth. on this spot, right next to Central Market.
The décor is really nice although the layout of the tables is kind of boring. They did attend to some details, table décor, plates and bowls used, lighting, etc.
However about the dishes, unfortunately I would have to say MEDIOCRE is the word. Maybe that is the reason why on a weekend night, we were the only table sitting there.
If only I could find a reasonable place with nice décor and delicious food under the same roof :-(
