This is the loveliest Calloway’s I have ever been to. Imagine getting off work, avoiding all of the crazy drivers and finally making it safely into the Calloway’s parking lot. You get out of the car, feeling relieved, and open the doors to the store and walk inside. Immediately the sounds of the traffic are silenced as the door shuts behind you. Now all you can hear is the faint sounds of chirping birds singing along to the gentle, and sweet classical music that is playing above. The birds sing so sweetly with the music, you assume it’s part of the track, until a couple of finches fly down from the rafters onto the floor by your feet as you lean down to take a look at the pretty Spathiphyllum amongst all of the healthy, lush green plants that are tenderly cared for. Your nostrils are filled only with the scent of sweet flowers, and your vision has been taken over by a green paradise. Every employee and customer seem to have lost all daily stressors here. What a heaven. Is this real life?

Nice selection. Forget about any service. We were the only customers on a cold rainy day and never once did any of the employees even acknowledge us. Try a different location. For the price they might try and ask if you need help. We walked out.

Horrible. 3 teenagers looked at us literally with their mouths open as we walk in with 2 plants. The girl helping us seemed high or on some relaxing drug because 1) her eyes were half close 2) did zero eye contact 3) was talking to herself. I can’t believe she couldn’t find one darn descent plant that’s indoors that would fit our pot. I communicated 5 times what I wanted and she failed to even acknowledge our words. Way to go Calloway’s! About time to start running them drug test in people. No one even offered us help to carry the pots back in our car… Disgusting to go through this experience. Never stepping a foot in here again !

I went to this Calloways today and was helped by David. He was very nice and helpful looking all over to find what I needed. They have a very nice selection of plants and are all well displayed. I will definitely go back to this location.

Calloways has really high prices for their plants but high quality and a fairly large selection year round. This location is smaller than the location on Preston and 190. There isn’t much help from the staff here and I always recommend researching options before you come in to buy. Their gardening club is a great way to get deals on what you may already be looking for.

We stopped in to get some plants we saw(and bought) at a different Calloways. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any. I say«we» since there were no employees to be found anywhere on the grounds. There were two, playing with their cell phones at the checkout. No one else, anywhere. We even looked out back in the shrub area. No one. Hmmmmmm, on a Sunday in Spring? Someone needs to get their staffing levels checked.

I generally like the place but usually visit the 121 Plano location often. I decided to call the Custer/Plano location on Saturday 3⁄29 to inquire about an angel red pomegranate trees because the 121 location was out of them. For starters the young lady that answered the phone was a bit clueless and didn’t really know what a pomegranate was. I asked her what was the largest size they sold and of course she had no clue but asked a gentleman in the background who blurted out«5 gallons». I asked how tall and again she asked the guy and he blurted out«about 7 ft tall» which was great for what I was looking for. I immediately got in my truck and headed over just to fine the 5 gallon poms were about 3ft tall. I went up from and asked the ast. manager Dina if the there were any larger poms than those that I had located and there wasn’t. I went on to tell her that I has just phoned the location and was told that the location had angel red poms that were about 7 feet and she looking dazed said, «No those are the only ones.» How frustrating to have your time wasted due to incompetent help. Generally a good manager would at least attempt to try and compensate or try to error correct but Dina appeared to be just as incompetent and simply manager“ed” up and said she would speak to the staff tomorrow which does nothing for me and the hour wasted. And for this I give Calloway’s Plano/Custer a one start rating. I decided to stop by my usually location/121 and picked up a 7′ 6.5 gallon Fuyu persimmon and was treated with 5 star respect.

Great place to get flowers. If you’re looking for a niche item this place is it. They only offer flowers and some landscaping items. This place is decievingly larger than it looks from the road. I drive down custer each time and each time been telling myself to go check this place out. Also, I recieved good service that day. I asked one of their associates and he was able to tell me a lot of information about the product without reading the label for me :)

Get your Christmas tree here! They have a GREAT selection! And if you bring in your stand from the Christmas tree you bought last year at Calloways, you get a discount on your tree! Sales staff is always very helpful at this location. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable. The store is always seasonally decorated and great for children.

I was desperately trying to find a way to keep my Valentine’s day gift from kicking the bucket, so I came into Calloway’s for some orchid advice. The guy behind the counter seemed knowledgeable about them and shared some of his own experience with orchids with me to calm my nerves. This trip only consisted of a quick run for plant food, but I foresee myself coming in here to prevent future botanical blunders :)

Calloway is cool. It’s not a multi-purpose store like Lowes or HD but for plants and gardening supplies, Calloway can hold its own. I’ve bought plenty of plants here and most have done well. Last summer I ended up buying 3 pepper plants for $ 1 a piece and ended up with more than 100+ peppers. There aren’t a lot of workers so sometimes the lines moves a bit slow.
