I had an appointment at 5pm today and got there 5 minutes late. When I walked in I was never greeted and saw two other customers waiting so I sat down and assumed I would be after them even with an appointment. After waiting 45 minutes I walked up after the two others before me were finished. But as I stood there Tayesha, the lady working there, did not even acknowledge me and continued to call the next name. I stood there saying I had an appointment at 5pm and had been waiting 45 minutes. She just looked at me and said I was late so I had to keep waiting. We left. I will never give them my business again. Tayesha should have and could have let me know when I walked in that I would have to wait, given me a new time, asked if I wanted to reschedule, something. But instead she let me wait with my son and infant and gave the worst customer service.

Two of the girls were completely unwelcoming, and did not want to work with my child who has special needs. He could even sense their attitudes. He said he didn’t want those ladies to cut his hair, he wanted another place. Pretty bad when a 6 year old can pick up on your bad attitude. Perhaps a children’s salon isn’t the job for you.

Walked in with two boys, not kid or adult friendly or staff friendly either. After attitude by front desk person unwelcoming, we left.

I have now been back three times and they are great with my toddler. They have worked out some of their kinks with appointments and schedules so the wait time is a few minutes tops once you arrive. The stylists are very sweet and really know how to work with hyper toddlers. I have loved all the haircuts they have given. Big fan!

I love Tia! We have gone for haircuts twice. Yes, they’re a little pricey, but I consider that fair for handling my screaming, squiggly child while giving him an excellent haircut. Plus, they send out coupons. Use them instead of complaining. I never feel put off or rushed. I schedule an appointment and they do it. It probably seems crazy because there is so much energy from all the little ones playing with trains or buzzing around. I personally enjoy our experience because it’s just a haircut.

I had an appointment at 4pm for a haircut for my 15 months old son and got there 20min early. There was NOBODY there and I got this ugly look from the stylist. When I seated my son at the little car to have his hair cut he screamed and cried and just clung to me. So I was putting a video on my iPhone when the stylist realized she could use the DVD right in front of her. When he finally calmed down a little and looked at her, she said something to him and he just started crying again and she said«I’m not gonna say anything to you». And went on cutting his hair. When it was time for payment and tip, I put the amount at the credit card pad when I noticed she just waving her head at at amount. REALLY? You should get no tip at all for being SORUDE!!! If you work on a place catering for kids you should at least be friendly to them!!!

This place always seems completely disorganized. There only ever seems to be one employee on duty. Haircuts are always interrupted because she has to answer the phone, or sign somebody in, or something else. You can call in and make a reservation, but keep in mind you are probably interrupting someone’s haircut if they do answer at all. The haircut itself is hit or miss, sometimes great, sometimes choppy. It is also overpriced. The video games are always out of order too. There are also lots of items lying about the store that are for sale, so watch your other kids. They are more than happy to charge you for items they get into. There are better places in Plano for kids haircuts. We’re done with this one, even though it’s the most convenient.

We arrived there at 10:40 a.m. and signed in. The stylist(only employee there) was cutting a little boy’s hair and there was another little boy waiting with his mom. By 10:45, the stylist was finished with her customer. The family in front of us left after speaking to the stylist(I couldn’t hear what was said), which I thought was odd because they were obviously next. About a minute after that family leaves, the stylist finally acknowledges us and tells me that she has someone coming in for an appointment at 11, so she won’t be able to cut my daughter’s hair until 11:30. My two year old doesn’t have much hair and it literally would have taken the stylist 5 minutes to trim up the back. When I told her this, she just shrugged and said, «Sorry.» Needless to say, we left. I drove over to Willow Bend mall, took my daughter to Sweet and Sassy, and had her hair cut there. Five minutes later, we were done. We won’t be going back to Cool Cuts. What poor customer service!

My sons first visit to the Carrollton location was great and I found that this one was closer, so shouldn’t have been any different. Wrong! Tia is clearly an employee who doesn’t like her job. She’s rude and not kid friendly. Her communication skills definitely need improvement if she’s going to continue working there with kids. This should’ve been a happy, friendly visit and instead was uncomfortable and awkward from her rudeness. We had an appointment, were on time, and left a very generous tip despite the horrible customer service and bad haircut-so Tia if you ever read this you don’t have to have a bad attitude for no reason and if you’re so unhappy find a different job.

both my kids got great haircuts, appointments were timely kept, it just seems like $ 18.95 each is a lot for a buzz cut for my son and an ends trim for my daughter. They ought to charge less for these simpler haircuts.
