I did all of my research on line, and had 3 bids for 2 solar tubes. One for my windowless kitchen, and one for my windowless laundry room. All quotes were within a few dollars of each other, all used the SolaTube product. We decided on Daylight Rangers as they offered the most trim options, had the best reviews and I had a personal recommendation. I could not be happier with the product, the service, the installation and the outcome! The installer was professional, fast, listened to what we wanted(placement) and the end price matched the estimate. Plus the 10 year warranty is covered by Daylight Rangers on the product and the installation. A previous reviewer was right — I want two more… Now if I could find a plumbing company that is this professional…

I took my Mom to the showroom in Plano where we met Flora who showed us all the options for Solatubes. Flora was so kind and was able to answer all our questions. We then set up an appointment to have Peter come out and do an estimate for my Mom’s kitchen. Peter Swanson came out, got up in the attic, and measured everything. He proceeded to give us all the possible options and quoted us an exact price. Yesterday, Peter Swanson came out to install a Solatube in my mom’s kitchen. She couldn’t be more pleased! He is a consummate professional. He was on time, courteous, clean and neat, and hard-working. My mom highly recommends Daylight Rangers and thanks them for providing such a wonderful product with a great experience!

We had Solatubes in a previous house so there was never a question about product quality. But the real concern was installation quality – with holes being cut into our brand-new roof by strangers. Fortunately Daylight Rangers came through with flying colors. The salespeople were not only trustworthy but looked for ways to save us money. The installation team was completely professional. I watched as the senior member of that install team double-checked every step done by the junior member. It was subtle, maybe so the junior member didn’t even see it happening, but I saw it and was very appreciative.(By the way, nothing needed to be fixed, because the junior guy did it all perfectly, but two sets of eyes made sure of that.) Scheduling was easy and communication was often and clear. They even got the city-required permits for us. So, yeah, Solatubes are great. But what’s really nice is knowing the holes in your roof were done right by people you can trust. I highly recommend Daylight Rangers. The only downside is that you’ll want to put more Solatubes in after you see how well the first ones turned out.

These guys have installed two Solatubes and a solar attic fan over the years. I have one in my home, one in my business and an attic fan on my roof. Love them. Great products and service. No leaks. I always get responsive service. I really own these products. Great stuff. I don’t think the other reviewers are really customers.

I had an amazing experience with Daylight Rangers/Solatube. I had two installed in my living room which had not even one window. At first the light was so intense I asked them to come back and modifty it and they absolutely did just that. It’s really wonderful to walk into a room that was so dark in the daytime and have great natural light. I can have plants now. You get none of the heat transfer you get with a skylight the area is always cool in the summer. I bought the light kit to add on and the dimmer and the electrician totally messed up the tube but Mr Swanson the owner fixed it back good as new. I dealt with Flora from the office and she explained everything and spend so much time making sure I got the look exactly as I wanted it. Everyone was kind and generous with their time… exactly what you hope for when heading out on a new venture. I want more… hallway, kitchen, panty, bathroom… the staff and employees are great the all of the advice was easy to understand, I wouldn’t buy anywhere else. My experience was that they did exactly what they said and way more. .I have also added two of the solar powered attic fans and love them.

I cannot recommend either the product or the service provider. Note that we went through the Plano office, but it’s all the same company. My complaints: 1. As for the service, one word: Horrible. We had an estimator in our house for a very long time, explaining what we needed done then waiting nearly an hour while he wrote up a detailed estimate. A week later, when the project was begun, the contractors immediately tore out some terrific wood trim we had, despite our explicit instructions to leave the trim. By the time we saw it, there was no turning back. As such, this $ 3,000 home«improvement» project, in my mind, has done the exact opposite of improving. Was there any consideration given by the company to this mistake? Not a bit. Merely an «Oops. Sorry.» 2. As for the product: «Significantly improve the way daylight is harnessed» is their tagline. I would have hated to see daylight before it was harnessed. These things produce maybe 1⁄10 the light of our skylight at best, despite the company’s promise that we’d notice little difference. We have to turn on the optional light kit inside the tube for any light at all. So I ask you, why did we pay for the solatube when all we really got was a light kit? One good thing: At least our leaky skylights are gone.

Went to because I was interested in having some installed in my house. Their website was promoting a «free installation at participating dealers» offer and did not mention any restrictions or minimum purchase. So I clicked the link, put in my zip code, and this company’s details came up as the only result in this area. I went to their website and arranged for an estimate. I was called by them today to confirm the time and I mentioned the promotion. The man I spoke to said he was unaware of it but would honor what the website said. He then called back and backpeddled, saying that he couldn’t honor it because they weren’t a «participating dealer.» I explained to him that Solatube.com’s website indicated that they were and that if they were not prepared to honor the deal, I would not be doing business with them. I then hung up on him because he kept interrupting me. Shortly thereafter, I was called by one of the«owners» of the company who attempted to again explain their company’s position. She seemed annoyed that I «questioned their integrity» and that the problem was with Solatube, not them. Honestly, I don’t really care and as the customer, it’s not my problem. It’s their problem with Solatube. She kept interrupting me to complain about Solatube and how they were angry at them for implying that they were participating, and whined about how if they honored that promotion they wouldn’t make any money. I again cut her off to say that the reason I was interested in having them install the product was due to the promotion and if they were not prepared to honor it, I would not be doing business with them. Honestly, I have had such abysmal customer service in the last 4 – 5 years or so that I thought that nothing could surprise or rattle me anymore, but this did. I just thought people should know that if they are expecting Daylight Rangers to honor this promotion from Solatube, they should look elsewhere! Also I thought their response to my concerns was utterly unprofessional, bordering on infantile. Really? Calling me to whine about your vendor? Did they expect me to be sympathetic?
