We have been to the park many times for the Plano Community Band concerts in the summer. Lots of nice shade. Great venue for the band. I also worked on a BSA Eagle scout project to put down concert slabs under the trash cans near the DART station platform. It was redeveloped several years ago and looks very good. Be sure to visit the Interurban Railway Museum in the park.

This is a cute little park next to the train tracks. There is something for everyone, including a huge parking lot that is often used by those going to downtown. It is also next to a train museum and there is a train car adjacent to the park. We came on a Sunday evening. There is a large playground with toys for all ages. There are several large grass areas for picnics or just lounging about. Additionally, there is a lake with a cute bridge crossing and a gazebo. Some of the folks that hang out at the park are sketchy though, which brings it down 2 stars. Maybe the crowd is different at different times of the week who knows.

Yay! I like it. It’s near all the cute downtown Plano stuff, so you could easily have some eats and walk over to entertain the kids later. There are two play areas, one for the older kids and one for the smaller. There are several picnic tables and benches. We brought food and had a picnic while the boy played. Cheap outside fun :)
