Heaven Sent Floor Care

I was house sitting for someone who has a marble topped night stand. I looked at, and was horrified when I noticed a water ring on it and it seemed to be etched. I called Heaven Sent and pleaded for help. With not a penny to be gained Ken (the owner of the company) offered to attempt to remove it at 8 a.m. the next morning. Here he was, right on time at 8 a.m.Ken looked at the water mark and said it appeared to have been there for quite a while. I felt better, as I understood that more than likely I hadnt done it. Anyway, Ken brought in his polishing powder, mixed it, rubbed it in for quite a while and we waited; Finally it was time to start to remove the powder and polish the area with his polishing tool. When we looked at it again, it had improved dramatically. I am so thankful and grateful to a man who had nothing to gain by helping me out with his years of expertise working with marble. We needed our travertine floors refinished. Ken, the owner, came to our home, gave us his «professional» opinion and an estimate for the work. We agreed to have the work done by him. He showed up with 2 crew members and began working on our travertine floors. They were not able to complete the job properly and he stated that in order to so, he would have to return on another occasion and also stated that it would cost us more than he originally estimated. To make matters worse, they ruined our wood floors in the process. They taped down plastic over our wood to protect them, but did so improperly. Due to their negligence, water penetrated the plastic and our wood floors absorbed the water and swelled up. Ken refuses to repair our wood floors or even compensate us for the damage. More so, we still have to have our travertine floors refinished properly as they were not able to do so. Ken comes across as a professional and kind person, but «Buyer beware.» I wish there had been reviews for us to read before we had hired him.
