I went into get a new Hubcap for my car, and the guy in the store was as nice as can be, this first time. He let me know mine broke because of the clip Toyota uses as their stock hubcaps. Granted, my hubcaps had stayed on fine for 9 years, but he insisted the plastics would cause them to crack and fall off over time. After looking it up, he said it would be cheaper to get 4 generic hubcaps, than the stock one I needed, and he even gave me credit for my old ones that weren’t bad. He put them on, and the entire transaction went pretty well. Fast forward 6 months, and 1 of the new hubcaps had an issue, and came off while I was driving on the highway. I went back to Homer to see if there was anything he could do, and he was rude to me to the point of yelling, and told me I could buy a replacement for more than I bought it last time(and more than twice what the same hubcap is available for on eBay.) I explained I did nothing to the hubcap, it just fell off, and he said he rarely has any issues with them, and then said it must have been something I did. On top of that, he is selling the original hubcaps he took off my car. His indignant attitude and unwillingness to provide even a basic level of customer service is the reason I will never be going back. I wasn’t asking for a free hubcap, although he implied I was. I was just trying to get some level of responsibility in a defective product he sold me. I don’t usually post negative reviews, because I know how hurtful it can be to a small business. I had really hoped for a better outcome.

This place was easy to find, and Homer is as helpful as can be. The place is packed from floor to ceiling; every inch is covered in usable inventory. He definitely knows his stuff. After glancing at my car, he goes into the back, returns in 5 minutes with the correct hub, and even walks out to place it on my tire to ensure it fits. The entire transaction took less than 10 minutes, and the cost was a mere $ 30. Ebay isn’t even that cheap! Now, I want to leave his information on every car I see that’s missing a hubcap.

I love this place. It’s super crowded, and it almost feels like a junkyard, but everything is wheel related. These guys know what you need. I assume the guy I talked to was Mr. Homer. Me: «I need a 15″ 1992 Buick Skylark, 5 spoke» Mr. Homer: «We got it. How many do you need?» Me: «Just one.» Homer walks off and in like 30 seconds comes back with the hubcap. It’s used, but it’s in really good shape. It coulda been the one that came off our Buick. Waaait a minute! ITWAS… just like the one we lost. Except nicer. So $ 20 lighter, I had a replacement hubcap for the old Skylark. They’ve got everything here(and it kinda looks like it!) and if they happen to be short whatever you want, they can get it for you, of course for a price. I think it’s terrible that his parents named him Hubcap, but I think it worked out pretty good for his career. Or did his name predict his future? Dun dun DUN!!!
