My 47″ Philips tv kept turning itself off 5 seconds after I’d turn it on, so we took it into J Tronics. The proprietor wheeled a cart out to our car, and helped us get the tv into the shop. He said it would be about $ 50 to diagnose the problem, and take 2 – 5 business days to do that. He called me after a few days and told me had found the problem, and it would be another 2 – 5 business days to order the part in. 3 days later, he called and said it was ready. He told me the main power board had gone out, and he plugged in the tv and showed me that it was working again. He wheeled the tv out on a cart again to our car, and helped us lift it in.
It costed $ 350 for labor and the main board, so $ 400 total.
