Legends at Chase Oaks

I would NOT recommend these apartments! I lived here almost 3 yrs and it has changed a lot. The first owners and their management was very helpful and nice all the time unlike these new owners and management team. Also the WEBSITE NEVER WORKS nor they have any drop box so you can’t see what your payment is. I went to the office to fix an issue and received no professionalism at all. The manager came out SHE slammed the file right in front of me and then ignored me as if I wasn’t even there! she was very rude when we spoke and WASN’T helpful at all. she acted like she was the owner and we were living here for free! I do NOT recommend Legends at Chase Oaks at all, and can’t wait to leave this place.

I initially had a small hick up in terms of customer service. Everyone has his/​her off day where things don’t go as desired/​planned.
The Apartment manager Monni Warren helped us in overcoming the hick up in no time and got us a 3 bed 2 bath apartment on the move in date we wanted.
Hats off to her on turning around the initial unpleasant experience into a great one for us in no time. That is perfect example of how customer service should be.
The leasing agent Ruth was also extremely kind and welcoming. She showed us the property and walked us through the entire process no matter how trivial our questions were.
This is a wonderful community with a very friendly management team taking care of the property.
I would strongly recommend people to move in here and call it their new home.

I have lived here twice now. The new upgrades are awesome. the updated pool and bbq is great. The community is improving and I have had other friends and colleagues move in here. this past summer has been a blast with the community. it’s been easy getting to know the neighbors. the staff members and management team are amazing! Thank for the improvements.

Lived in these apartments for 6 years and loved our experience. Apartments are clean, well maintained and family-​oriented. However, ever since the new management has taken over, we HATE living here. They are rude, unprofessional and incompetent. When we put in maintenance requests, the office staff straight up tells us its our fault and we are responsible for fixing things in the apartment. They are arrogant, and dont care about the residents. We are getting charged for maintenance that we never had to pay for before. We loved the older management. They were friendly, professional and polite. Even if there was an issue that they could not fix, we never minded because they really cared about us. We are actively looking to move into another apartment community, JUST BECAUSE OF THE NEW MANAGEMENT. They suck! I hope someone sees this review and changes things around here. If you are thinking of moving into this community, please dont.

The apartment facilities and the community was okay but the staff was completely incompetent and are a total headache. They don’t give a rats — about their customers and are just concerned about getting their rent money. The staff genuinely do not want to help and are quick to give up and rarely offer solutions to any problems that come up. Please do not live here. It is simply not worth the headache.

I have lived here 5 years and I’m so unhappy ever since the new management took charge. The office staff are rude and very inefficient. They lack professionalism. They require us to buy smoke alarm batteries and bulbs for the lights when they it needs to be replaced and that was not how the previous management functioned. The reason I lived here this long is because the previous management was good and friendly and efficient but now I have decided to move once my lease term is complete .They never complete work orders leave alone doing a good job or doing it on time
Will never recommend this apartment to anyone

The new management company is sooo bad. I requested to change the battery of a smoke alarm to stop it chirping, but they just made a call and said «you have to buy the battery by yourself». The previous management always helped me when I need to fix anything that belongs to the apartment, however, the new management is not supportive at all. I used to enjoy living in this apartment but I no longer recommend it.

I recently started shopping for a new apartment to move in when my lease ends this spring, I started reading reviews about these complexes might be of interest (ATERA, ALLURA, DONA POINT & HEATHERSTONE) in TEXAS, I was surprised to learn that they are owned by Fairfield same company owns & manage the legends, and I was very disappointed with their rating, same rating as the Legends at chase Oaks. I noticed in the last year they remodeled the leasing office and redid the landscaping in the front only, made it very nice, I am sure to attract future resident, but beyond that you will see the parking lot needs cleaning repairs which will damage the front end on your car, dead trees falling out every storm casing damage to resident cars & the property, contractors don t care, maintenance staff it takes them weeks before repairing a work order. Sometimes they don t and they close it saying it is done, they have 2 maintenance crew for 350 UNITS. They keep replacing the blinds with a cheaper blind which they end up replacing every couple months, my blind is broken now I did not want bother any more, when I told them it will be cheaper to replace it with a better quality, been told corporate decide on it due to cost cutting, even it costing them more on the long run, even at one time had to wait over 6 weeks since the supplier out of the cheaper blinds. I been asking them for over a year to repair a whole in the attic where you hear at night Raccoons and chip monks living there, never got repaired. Also they charge every month on water bill pest control, in case needed it, and if needed it you will have to call several times, before taking care of the problem specially last summer when we had problem with RATS. I brought to their attention other issues, and the reply I received is read your lease, their lease several pages, very lengthy with fine print, also I don t care for the 60 days notice if you decide to move, but if you need a day beyond that if rented you are out of luck.
I hope MR. CHRISTOPHER E. HASHIOKA, President and CEO read this review and decide to do something about how things ran at FAIRFIELD property, specially your residents are best world of mouth to help you bring future residents.
Specially I recall on Fairfield property web under mission, you claim, Our mission is to provide our residents with a high quality living experience by managing apartment communities that are staffed by dedicated professionals.
I been living here for several years, this place changed, it’s not like what it use to be with the new manager (DONNA). No service request gets done, and she stated it is the resident job to make sure maintenance request gets done not here job, does that make sense?
She always want to discus issues with the property in the lobby in front of future or prospective resident, I thought that’s unprofessional, I don’t think she understand that’s bad business image.
Also when you go to here with an issue, she does not let you talk & keeps repeating here-​self. Also when you go to here with an issue happen on their property she does not want deal with it, I don’t think she understand property manager are responsible for the property, and what goes on their property, specially damage to resident property by contractors hired by them. Like the painters over sprayed resident cars and windows when they painted the buildings. I will never forget the statement Dona made about the contractors such as the painters, I recall she stated their name World builders in Dallas (saying most the contractors they hire help probably get paid $ 5:00 to $ 6:00 an hour, and probably illegal immigrants, don’t expect much, as you seen when you try to communicate with them they reply no English).
I was shocked to hear that from DONA property manager. Also she wants you to deal as resident with contractors, if an issue or problem came up, which is not right, since it is their contractor.
She was giving me an example that one of here staff, a tree fell on here car, it was act of God the damage, I told here that tree is dead, it is your fault you did not take it down before it fell on here car, you should have walked the property with your tree person and see what goes on, before accidents happened. Also when the maintenance crew cause damage to your property while they are working inside the unit the management does not do anything about it. I will be writing more during the year about living here.

I lived at Legends at Chase Oaks from 2001 – 2003, 2004 – 2005, and again in 2008. Yes, I returned twice.
As Samantha A. says, the complex is nice when compared to the others around Plano. The attached garage is REALLY nice!
During my 3 stays there, I enjoyed it. Can be a bit noisy over by the 2^nd gate due to the businesses, but overall, I never had any noise issues.
The staff was good at their job.
Parking is abundant, so if you have an extra vehicle, you can park it in the visitors area (or maybe behind your garage door?) without a problem.
The only reason this isn’t a 5 star review was due to how leases are handled if life gets in the way. The staff didn’t exactly try to re-​rent my place when I moved early, and I ended up paying out my lease in 2005. But it wasn’t bad enough that I didn’t return in 2008… so what does that say? It’s a good place.
Trash dumpsters are placed far enough away so you don’t get the noise from anyone using them, but close enough so you don’t have to load the car up to take the trash out.
I’d consider moving back a 4^th time if I was in the Plano area again.
