Liquor Depot

I appreciate a small business that sits in between two giants (Spec’s and Total Wine & More) on the same street, but they need to differentiate on something (service, quality or price) to give me any reason to shop there other than wanting to support the little guy. Unfortunately, they failed on all three of those things. The prices were higher even on items that are pretty much commodity priced everywhere. The quality of product and selection was limited to stuff I could find at any liquor store small or large. The service was… a guy sitting at the counter half asleep who when I told him that I was looking at the whisky selection and didn’t see a couple of the blends that I might be interested in just replied with «oh, OK.» Can’t say I didn’t give it a try. Location is convenient and clean, so I guess they get a second star for that.

I will not return to Liquor Depot. The cashier suggested the bagger double bag my items. The bagger’s response was it cost them 5 cents per bag refusing to double bag my heavy items. I will take my business where customers are worth 5 cents bags.

Prices aren’t bad. Comparable. Closest liquor place to me.
Very well lit. Clean for now. Selection is decent
