I came in this afternoon to get a quick bite to eat before my weekly grocery shopping trip. I love bakeries, and they offer a great lunch special, half a sandwich and cup of soup for $ 8.50. The sandwich is build your own, and is advertised as «small». I ordered a turkey sandwich on ciabatta with a few other toppings. What came out to the table was a feast. They bake everything fresh daily, and it shows. The ciabatta was so fresh and light. Perfect lunch. They also make coffee, lattes, etc. I got a mocha, and it was delicious. Please be forewarned: if you plan to tip, please bring cash. Their cc system does not allow tipping once the card has been ran. I plan to make this a regular stop in my Sunday routine.

Today was my first visit, but definitely not my last, It is down the street from me. I have passed by the place many times and never stopped. Shame on me. I stopped by this morning after leaving the gym… go figure. I had a bacon and cheese croissant, which was delicious. They had cake pops 2/$ 2 so I got 2. That is cheap. I have been to a couple places get cake balls and they have been $ 2.50 or $ 2.75 for one and have not been nearly has good. I think they are normally $ 2. I’m going to try their lunch next.

Best neighborhood bakery EVER! We have had their tasty croissants and cupcakes so when we were planning our wedding we knew we wanted them to make our cake. Many of our guests commented it was the best wedding cake they ever tasted. They customized cookies for us too that went very fast. This place is the best place to get your baked goods! The soup and sandwiches are excellent too. So glad to have found this gem!

We ordered a minion cake for my son’s birthday and the cake is just amazing. It looks great and tastes really good. Homemade taste is what I can say, not too fluffy, not too sweet. Many of my friends and colleagues have asked from where did I order this cake.

My favorite aspect of Millstone Bakery is the friendliness. In our busy town, it’s difficult to find a place where the owner will chat with you as if you are a regular the first time you stop in. As a teacher, I’ve been a few times to sip coffee and grade papers. Every time the owners, a cute Belgian couple, or the friendly cashiers, usually high school students of mine or at our school, will always say hi and check in to make sure that I have the wi fi password. They let me squat there as long as I need to and make sure I’m comfortable. In addition to the excellent service, that makes it seem like an old timey bakery in a small town where they know all their costumers, the food speaks for itself. My favorite is the crab salad, made from real crab and not that imitation crab meat! All of their desserts are delicious and baked fresh daily and their cheesecake is to die for! They also make their bread fresh everyday. Although, I’m not a huge bread fan, I often see people pre order loaves and loaves of bread. So if you like freshly made bread, this is the place to go! The only reason for the star deduction is the price. Everything looks so yummy and it all can really add up. Last time I spent $ 10 on just a slice of cheesecake and a latte! Luckily that cheesecake was delectable…

The Brussels waffle, available on the weekend, is simply amazing! After having it, I won’t even consider having one anywhere else. The waffle is light, crispy, and tasty. Be sure to order it with their amazing pourable Belgian chocolate and whipped cream — so yummmmy! They also sell homemade loaves of bread including their multi-grain which is fantastic. There are no preservatives or fillers in the bread, and it freezes well. And, my oh my, the eclairs and croissants are to die for.

I will preface this review stating, yes I’m still a fan. Especially for those yummy plain croissants. But the cake I purchased, well, let’s just say I am not a fan. First the good. Arrived when they opened on Saturday morning and purchased 3 plain croissants. They were still warm. The not so good, I came to pick up my husband’s birthday cake. The cake had a good flavor, but we thought it was too dense. I normally buy my cakes from Bake Rejoice, but unfortunately, they were unable to accommodate my order. I placed my order too late. Back to Millstone… I will still continue to be a customer, maybe just not for their cakes.

I don’t give out 5 star reviews very often, but this place definitely deserves one. My husband and I went here with my parents a few weeks for a birthday lunch. We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in the door. You can order a full size sandwich or choose half a sandwich and a cup of soup. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on ciabatta bread and tomato basil soup. I’ve ordered that kind of soup at a number of places in DFW, and this is definitely one of the best I’ve had. It wasn’t too acidic or tomatoey like some places make it. My mom had the same soup and really liked it as well. The ciabatta bread was SO fresh and delicious. Their breads don’t contain any preservatives or corn syrup. The chicken salad was really good, too. I also tried an éclair, which was very tasty. My mom and dad shared the Black & White cake(I think that’s what it was called) My dad, who is extremely picky about his desserts, LOVED it! The look on his face was priceless. I didn’t even have to ask if he liked it. Ha! Looking forward to going back the next time we happen to be in the area during lunch time.

Wow! I cannot believe such a great bakery is just so close! How have I missed this spot for such a long time. My only disappointment with this place was that they ran out of all the great macaron flavors I wanted — but the ones they had were still amazing! I really recommend the pistacchio ones.(Vanilla was a little too sweet for my taste, and the chocolate was pretty good) The workers were exceptionally sweet and did a great job wrapping up our delicious treats. Just a heads up, if you want macrons, they always make them on Thursdays. So try then if you want more choices. I will definitely be back soon to try the pomegranate ones.

Good — Fresh — Simple. I had the brie and black forest ham sammich for lunch there today with VERY fresh multi grain bread. Not a lot to choose from, but will definitely be back as this was delicious. Hope to see them grow their choices over the coming months.

I ordered the ½ sandwich and soup combo. It appears I was given a ¼ of a sandwich which was not cool. To pay $ 9 for a couple of bites of a sandwich? No thanks. The sandwich was excellent too, I really would have liked that other quarter. I got the tomato basil soup– not great. Really no flavor, didn’t finish it. I will say on the little sandwich I tasted, the bread was excellent and it had super fresh vegetables. I probably would return to give them another chance, but I will forgo the combo and just go with the sandwich. They did not have a good selection of pastries or cookies, I was disappointed. As for customer service, the girl behind the counter was very nice. There was another girl that was eating lunch and she was rude to the girl behind the counter. I personally as a customer do not appreciate when staff is rude to staff in front of the customer. It doesn’t make me want to return or recommend a place if I know the girl working is a brat. Just saying.

Saw all the great reviews for Millstone and decided to order my daughter’s birthday cake from here. They did a fabulous job with the design, though they misspelled her name on the cake. Thankfully the owner Ingrid and the cake designer Alexandra were super eager to fix the mistake and even came to my house to fix the error! You couldn’t even tell it was wrong in the first place! Only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars was because the cake itself didn’t taste as amazing as if hoped from all the reviews. It was good, just not amazing :) Overall I’m happy I used them!

The main reason why I wanted to come here was for the Brussels waffle. I came on Thursday morning… But I found out they don’t serve it unless it’s the weekend. Sad face. But that’s okay because their sandwiches definitely made up for it. I’m not a big fan of anyone else’s tuna salad besides my fams… But when the lady let me try the crab and tuna salad(they actually do that!) I was so surprised. It was incredibly yummy. The tuna salad(which I also got with jalapeño) in brioche roll bread had great consistency and flavor. It was also light! It was served on a beautifully simple white square plate that made the food pop out. Not only was the food great, the place is definitely clean. No dirty napkins or left over plates were on the tables. They cleaned it thoroughly. The staff is also nice and EVERYTHINGISFRESHLYMADE! How awesome is that?

Wow, one of the best blueberry muffin i ever taste. Crunchy at the top and soft in the inside. The almond croissant is very good as well. If you stop by for breakfast, try sausage or pig in a blanket. Place is cozy and relax. My kids love the brussel waffle. Owner very friendly and you can request some item if they happen not to make it that day. Price is not cheap but you get your money worth.

First visit to Millstone Bakery today. We are very excited about this family-owned bakery in our backyard. We were very pleased with our soup and sandwiches and treats for dessert. The owners are friendly and eager to please. All the food was really excellent. We had ham and Swiss sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, ham and cheese croissant, chocolate croissant, éclair, cake pop, hot chocolate, milk, and a cappuccino. This is a new store and I’m sure they are still trying to solidify their processes and identity, so I have a few suggestions for improvement: — There’s a lot of families in this neighborhood– invest in a few booster seats and high chairs. Making a place family friendly ensures repeat visits. — It feels a little cold in here like a Chipotle(they want people in and out). I suggest warming it up and making it more like a place to hangout. The kind of place where my wife would bring her friends to talk and catch up. — Given the quality of food, I expected to eat with metal flatware, not throw away plastic. Similarly our hot chocolate and cappuccino drinks were served in styrofoam cups even though we were enjoying them on the premises. I yearned for a mug. — It was very nice that they brought out food and drinks out, but there’s a big trash can by the door that says Thank You. Are we supposed to pick up after ourselves? I wasn’t quite sure. At Jason’s Deli there is no trash can in sight — it’s clear they do the serving and cleanup. I really want to like this place but I think they need to decide if they want to be a fast food bakery or something a little more homey, traditional, and perhaps what I might expect if I had stopped at a bakery in Europe. We have so few of those kinds of places in North Texas. This place has an opportunity to fill that void. Do that and we will eat here every week. We will definitely visit again. The food is delicious! We look forward to watching this business grow and become a permanent fixture in our neighborhood for many years to come.

The way restaurant food should be! Fresh. Tasty. Made with love. Go and try the fresh bread, pastries, soups, sandwiches. They custom make some items. I ordered a Stollen during the Christmas holiday. They are making Valentines cakes now. Believe they will customize for you. They are only open till 5pm, but they are open on Saturday. Get in there! You will be happy to give them your business.

Run, don’t walk to Millstone Bakery. The husband and I have driven by here for weeks and finally decided to stop in over the Thanksgiving weekend. What we found is truly what makes small local businesses great — a family-owned place, living their dream of running a high-quality bakery making their generations-old recipes. Bread that’s tender. Corn syrup free. Preservative free. And, for many of the breads, dairy free. We like good bread and are used to paying anywhere from $ 4 – 5 a loaf at Heartland. Prices are similar here. While we enjoyed an almond croissant(delicate, not greasy) and a hot chocolate(Belgian chocolate, not from powder, smooth as silk with a wonderful aftertaste), we chatted with the owner. He was such a nice person and so committed to making this place work. They bake a limited amount each day so what you get is fresh — and if you get there late, they may be out. I’m committed to doing my part to help. Their bread reminds me of what we ate when we lived in Europe, so this is our new weekly stop for fresh and wholesome bread. Stop in and see for yourself how delicious the food is! Posting photos of the menu and the different things we tried.

Incredibly Fresh Food * Made to Order Meals * Extremely Welcoming Owners We thoroughly enjoyed our time, and food, at Millstone Bakery. Looking for a place to grab something warm for dinner before church, we opened our trusty Unilocal app and looked around. Millstone Bakery was listed with a great star average and was noted as a Hot New place in town. Both were spot on! I couldn’t pass up the ½ sandwich & cup of soup deal or the freshly made hot chocolate(made with real Belgium chocolate — holla! My hubby got the Black Forest Ham w/Swiss Cheese Sandwich and I got the Chicken Salad Sandwich w/the tomato soup. Everything tasted wonderfully. Truly. I licked the soup bowl clean. The fresh, homemade bread was superb and added so much to both the sandwiches and my soup! KNOWBEFOREYOUGO: * everything is made fresh every morning. Yes, everything, so they do run out of some things later in the day. * everything is «made to order», this is not fast food. So be patient, the food is absolutely worth the wait! * this is a «word of mouth» type place, so after you fall in love, tell everyone you know! * this is a great place to grab a drink, pastry, etc and settle into a good book. It’s quiet and offers refills on coffee. The incredibly kind owner, Erik, came out to talk to us, see how our food was and ask how we heard about them. He was so kind and extremely hospitable. We WILL be back, and will probably be purchasing some fresh loaves of bread as well!

Authentic Belgian Family run bakery. Hidden gem in a shopping strip in Plano. The owner said they did no marketing at all and already the newspaper wrote an article about them(which is what brought us in) so it is a matter of time before the word gets out. They bake their own bread and it is delicious! This also means they run out of certain things so get their early. The bread for the ham and cheese croissant and chocolate croissant was the best tasting I have ever had. And they were each only about $ 2.50. We got the Brussels Waffles for our toddler with powdered sugar, home made whipped cream, and maple syrup. He loved it and so did we. Very light and airy unlike other waffles which was unique and different so we weren’t stuffed after. And they even gave our son a free cookie when we were on the way out as he was going on and on about it. My parents loved their breakfast as well. We will be back!
