Our dog Oreo was badly traumatized by the groomers here. We noticed at pick up that he seemed so different than usual. He is usually so happy to see us and go for the car ride home. He is a friendly, well socialized little guy who is always upbeat.
He was dejected and seemed actually depressed that whole day. We decided never to take him here again.
But then when we tried to have him groomed elsewhere they called us and said he was terrified and wouldn’t leave the kennel.
Oreo was very accustomed to being groomed. We are so astonished at the severity of the trauma. We’ll never know what happened to him at PetSmart, but it will never happen again.
You are taking a risk having your dog groomed here.

We took our dog here for the first time because everywhere else was booked for spring break. I want to specify that this review is about the grooming service:
When we came to get him, they told us he «wouldn’t let them dry his feet.» He kept trying to pull away from them when they’d try. We said it was ok, we would do it. They brought him out and he looked stressed, but we thought it was just because it was a new place. I dried his feet myself, and we headed out. He was very clean, soft, looked and smelled great. So that was good. But when we got him in the car, he was kind of whining under his breath. My husband noticed what looked like a little dirt under his claw… it was blood. They had clipped his claws way too far in, three of them were bleeding. No wonder he didn’t want them to dry his feet! Never mind that we specifically told them his claws DID NOT need trimmed as we just did it a few weeks ago. The last time this happened to him was before we got him at the shelter and he was starting to be so good again about people touching his feet… now if we do he flinches and tries to pull back. I understand mistakes happen but I’m very annoyed that they ignored our request not to trim, and that on top of that they did it improperly. It’s possible that our request didn’t get properly relayed from the Petsmart hotel, but even if so, it’s still the fault of the business for miscommunication and they should have known enough to see his claws were already short enough. We probably won’t take him to the Petsmart groomers again.
Overall: Good job bathing, poor job clipping nails (hurt my pet!!), did not listen to us.

After standing and waiting, with two large dogs, for them to stop chatting with one person I finally go in and all magically everyone disappeared. I had to call out several times, could even here them talking about their night in the back before someone finally came in. Then after sitting through the check in process, again waiting with two large dogs, during they refuse to take my elderly dog because of his medication. At this point I just gave up and walked out. All the people were young and did not appear to be interested in the animals or customer service. The person who booked my appointment should have disclosed the medication policy… I had even mentioned my dog and concern of how they would treat him. Maybe I caught them on a bad day but I used to work at a grooming shop and the reputation was always bad here, so to me it appears like nothing has changed. Avoid if you can… find a professional.

Just went in to get my dogs nails done and ended up walking out. They weren’t friendly at all. The girl at the front decided to take everyone’s cheeseburger order instead of helping me. Won’t go back to this location. Would rather drive out of my way for a different location.

This petsmart is horrible. Stay away. The grooming department it atrocious. The petsmart hotel and doggy day care people will give you wrong information. If you are looking for boarding, I highly suggest to go to camp bow wow instead. They actually include doggy day care in their boarding prices. The only saving grace to this petsmart is the banfield. They are great

Every time I come in here and look through the glass where they cut the dogs fur, it’s sad to see. Some do a good job, but some dog handlers should really not be working there. I see them mistreat the animals, yank on their collar, seen someone get mad because the dog moved a bit and the person started pulling on its ears hardcore. My neighbor saw a dog hanging, choking when it slipped from the table, an accident ofcourse, but still. I don’t even want to imagine what goes on in the back where we can’t see, where they bathe them.

They have an awesome staff working at this location! You can tell they work really hard to keep such a big store as clean and organized so… KUDOS TO YOU!
The manager, Shawn, is so sweet to my baby every time she sees her and greets her by her name every time! She always helps us out with any questions or issues we have.
And Heather and Meagan are just the best! Nala loves coming here because she knows she will definitely see one of her favorites and more than likely get a tummy rub :)
Y’all are awesome! Thank you for what you do and always being patient with her especially, while she is at the grooming salon (my dog goes crazy before every nail grind).

Great Service. Good Attitude and affordable price.

I took Baxter here for a nail trim recently. The guy did a good job, but was a little clueless. Another issue is that even if one location has your dog’s paperwork/​information on file, the other stores can’t view it in their system. It was a little inconvenient to have to run home to get something that I have taken in before. Of course Baxter enjoyed the ride so it was all good.

If you want bad service with unexcperinced people this is the place for you ! Once I bought a tarantula that was on sale and one of the employees called me weird ?! How can u do that shut your mouth and be polite. Also when getting crickets it took 20 minutes because everyone was to scared to touch them ! Why go to a pet store where your treated with respect when you can have the most shitty service available.

Seriously displeased.
We come here every two or three weeks for dog food. Dog food even in the very large bag is expensive. Tonight, there was a promotion on our dog food for 20% off if you buy two bags. Came in to buy the dog food at the discounted price, but there were not 2 bags.
Ask the manager if I could either prepay for the second bag and pick it up when it arrived or get a rain check for my discount on the second bag. Even though this was a nationally advertised promotion, they could do nothing to make an accommodation for the situation.
They really didn’t seem to care that I was a regular customer that spent several hundred dollars a month in their store. I know they have some information about me because we always put in our reward card number when we come in.
I am so disappointed that I am seriously considering purchasing all high dollar products from an on line e-​tailer as opposed to the brick-​and-​mortar store. The only advantage of a brick-​and-​mortar store is the personal service and that failed tonight.

I took my dog here just once to be groomed, and they did an ok job on him. But I will never take him back for any reason. I was recently contacted about the grooming department and what really goes on. The groomers have to sign confidentiality forms. Really what for? Possibly for the abuse that goes on, yes I said abuse. Male groomer actually chocking a dog because he wouldn’t behave. Two pugs dead at the Frisco petsmart, law suits at several locations. I’m not at all giving this place any stars but I have to in order to post. Dogs are treated very badly by the groomers, yelled at, dropped, cut and totally stressed out! Go in and watch on the surface it looks like they care but if you stay around long enough it be hid and if a dog is being difficult than it goes to the back. I have seen people watching and they look horrified, what pushed me over the edge was when the guy in there had his hands wrapped around the neck of a dog and said this will calm him down, nothing like the loss of air to make them behave.

As SOON as I walked in, the smell smacked me in the face. Yes, I understand it’s a pet place, but I have never, ever experienced this at any other PetSmart. I tried to find my item quickly so the smell wouldn’t saturate my pores.
Service was not good. An associate stood a couple feet away on the same aisle and never asked if I needed assistance. I walked around looking for something in particular, then had to come back to that aisle and ask him for help.
When I made it to the checkout line, the cashier had to ask another associate for assistance. That guy walks over to him and makes some sarcastic, unprofessional comment.
I just wanted out of the place and to breathe fresh air again.

Clean store friendly employees. I like this store it it well marked for finding stuff quickly. Every time I’m there I am in and out with no problems. Prices are pretty much in par with anywhere else you would go.

My pets stayed at the hotel for just 3 days. I asked them how many times did you walk them per day, and they didn’t know. I also asked them how many times did you take them out to use the restroom, and they also didn’t know. Hotel staff is not that friendly nor do they know how to do their job. I have a feeling petsmart did not even take my dogs out for a walk which came in the package of what I paid for.
The hotel also charged me and extra $ 80 for playtime even though I did not agree to playtime. You have to pay money to play?! Never heard of that before
I recommend you not leave your dogs at any petsmart hotel

Nice selection of cat toys. Really was just there killing some time and looking for e replacement plush mouse for my cat. They had it, so… Really bad parking lot in terms of congestion as well as getting in and out (especially if you are needing to go back to the south).

Due to my move to Richardson this Petsmart is most convenient.

For a Petsmart, this location is as good as it gets. The store is always clean, the shelves are always stocked and neat, and all of the staff members are pleasant.
I’ve had several positive interactions with various members of the staff here and all have been knowledgeable or willing to find another staff who knew the answer.
I haven’t yet tried to grooming or daycare at this location (We do daycare at the one further south on Greenville) so I can’t comment there yet. This is the full service Petsmart variety… they’ve got the hotel, the daycare, the grooming, and the vet.
The fish selection is probably one of the best I’ve seen and very well cared for.
4 stars is as high as a Petsmart can get in my opinion since they don’t carry the brands of dog food that I feed. Once Petsmart starts carrying Orijen and the like… then I’ll start going here for everything. At least they have Blue Buffalo so they’re not totally hopeless but I have to drive out of my way to Pet Supplies Plus to get the good stuff. Not this stores fault… that’s the chains fault.

I really like the PetSmart at 75 & Parker. This store is always clean and I never sneeze (yes, I am allergic to pet dander). It’s a good thing too since I have 2 cats — one of whom I recently found out is diabetic. I can pick up his prescription food and his beloved kitty litter. They actually carry Dr Elsey’s Cat Attract which is about the only once my male tolerates. And they carry freeze dred treats that he loves. My femaie cat is more laid back but she loves the toys that always seem to end up in my cart.
They always ask if they can help carry out. I really appreciated it when my arm was busted. They still ask and I hear them ask everyone.
Great store and so far, everyone that works here is nice and always asks me if I need something when I’m wondering around.
I can’t speak for the grooming section since my cats prefer to groom themselves with an occasional furmination from me.

I love Petsmart! The store is clean and well organized, and the pricing on most items is pretty competitive. I usually visit the store to purchase something for my cats, whether it be food, litter, or a random toy to introduce a little fun into their daily lives (which they’ll then play with for an hour before forgetting entirely that it exists).
As an aside, if you sign up for a Pet Perks card (it is free) and enter your pet’s birthday along with your information, Petsmart will send your pet a coupon for a free toy during their birth month. I think there is a dollar limit on it, but still, it is nice to get a cheapy toy for your pet to enjoy and destroy. :)
