Except for the convenience of its location please be aware of the hygiene of your stylist. My stylist is always late for my appointment and I’m kept waiting for her — she always has other non working stylists stopping by to chat while she is working on you so you know you don’t have her whole attention which can lead to a crooked haircut and her salon is always messy — make sure the hairbrushes and utensils are clean or else your black hair will end up having specks of blonde ! I think mgmt has to have a serious review with all their stylists atleast once a month. Shows mgmt is poor!

Really sorry to have to give a low rating to Phenix, and I’m giving a 2 so the algorithms that be don’t throw it out. I’ve been twice: the first time, I followed a hairdresser here from a different location. She was able to tell me about 12 hours before the appointment that she’d changed locations. Adding almost 20 miles to my drive that day posed its own set of issues. But then– I arrived and got«oh I’m almost done». I asked if she’d be able to finish my appointment on time for me to be able to drive to my next appointment. She took a quick pick at her schedule, must have gaged alleged readiness by her lack of appointments after my booking, and said«oh you’ll make it». Knowing each simple haircut appointment lasts one hour, I said goodbye after waiting 40 minutes. There was no «I’m sorry for the delay” — there was(are you ready for this?) a grown woman who stuck out her bottom lip when I politely said I had an appointment I had to keep. So I went back … To another hairdresser who is currently offering a deal on livingsocial. The lady at the front was kind to walk me to the right location for my appointment. The new hairdresser said she’d come get me when she was ready. I sat in a cubbyhole in the hallway outside her room for over 20 minutes. There was no «sorry I’m running late» or «it’ll be 5 more minutes» etc. Then I really got it– it is an individual hairdresser issue, and it’s also a salon issue, when their contractors have no basic time management skills. It also sends a message that their time is more valuable than those who’ve come to them for salon services. I won’t be back. And I learned today you can ask LivingSocial for a refund.

Really nice place; great ambiance and welcoming people. I’m really happy with the friendly service and got many complements on my hair since my styling appointment. Will definitely be back to try more services! The location is very convenient for me, and it was easy to find with plenty of parking.

If you are looking for a warm, friendly, clean place for just about any kind of pampering a person could want then look no more. This is by far the best salon in Plano. I went in for a cut and walked out with a new sweater appointments for a massage, facial, manicure and even picked up a shave gift card for my husband for Christmas. Best day EVER ! I highly recommend to all who want to treat yourself or someone else go to Phenix they have it all. Thank you Phenix salon for all the friendly faces and a lovely day of pampering.
