If you want an auto shop you can trust that provides fast and friendly service pronto is your place. I will continue to use them as my go to auto mechanic.

Bad experience. Bought the groupon for 5 quarts for $ 20. I could not go myself and so my 74 year old mother took the car in. After paying $ 20 for the groupon, they convinced my mother that the car needed another two quarts, on top of the five that I had already purchased. That’s funny. The manual says it will hold only 5.7 quarts. Some bloggers say not to put any more than that in or you can damage the engine.
So, my mother shows me the bill. They charged another $ 40 for the extra two quarts and in total, this turned out to be a $ 56 oil change for just regular, non-​synthetic oil. Gosh, I hope my engine does not explode from Pronto Quick Lube and Auto Care overfilling my oil and overselling to Plano grandmothers.
Here’s a tip if you decide to go there. Bring your owners manual or download it online. Go to Walmart and buy three quarts of oil for your car. Take your car to PQLAC with your groupon, and when they tell you that you need two more quarts without telling you what they will charge, respond to them, «Oh, that’s great, I just happen to have two quarts in my purse that you can use! But wait, how are you going to fit all of that oil into my engine when the guys who engineered and built it put in writing that the engine won’t hold that much. Are you going to put it in the gas tank? That’s not a good idea. How about just pour it down the drain — that will be less damaging to my engine.»

I bought their Groupon for the synthetic oil change. When I came to redeem it, I was greeted by a cheerful gentleman. He told me to fill in some paperwork about my car, as I was putting my information down he notice my cars model and year then proceeded to tell me that my car needs a different type of filter that is not included with the Groupon (they tell you in fine print on the bottom of the voucher about the added prices) where the situation becomes difficult is when he scans my voucher before he did the services. At the time I just didn’t have the money to buy the extra filter. They called groupon and said that I would be getting my money back. I never did. I ended up calling groupon and getting my voucher back because they couldn’t refund my money. I came back to get my oil change again to be greeted by the same guy. He explains to me that there’s a lot of misunderstandings about the groupons. So my advise to you is to make sure you read your voucher or call the shop and ask about your car. I gave them 4 stars because the costumer service the second time was a lot kinder and helpful.

Had a good experience. It’s a typical garage that offers the usual services. Bought a Groupon for an oil change, brought my car in (had to make an appointment) at 5pm on a Saturday. Handed the guy my car key, 30 minutes later and a $ 4 disposal fee and I was out.

I’m glad to have found pronto auto care, they are friendly efficient & most of all honest !

5 stars for the service. I went in on a Saturday afternoon for a simple oil change (after the Firestone down the street had told me they were to busy to take me). I was in and out of Pronto within 30 minutes! The man working the front desk (I believe was the owner) was very friendly, genuine, and responsive to me as a customer. When he asked what type of oil I wanted, I didn’t immediately respond and he could tell I wasn’t really sure. He quickly asked me a few questions (like type of car and mileage), and then recommended I get the basic oil, saying there was no reason (for my car) to get the more expensive options. I was very impressed by this! I have never been in that type of situation and not been up-​sold the more expensive/​profitable product. To top it all off, as I was walking out, the guy gave me a coupon for a discounted oil change next time I come in!
The basic oil change was 19.98 plus 3.95 shop supplies, making my grand total $ 23.98, which is really hard to beat these days! (No coupons or promotions used).
I would definitely recommend this place for an oil change if you live near by.

Great Plano location and these guys do good work. I have never had an issue with the price of work done and it has always been done right — no returns to correct some work — and I drive weird cars like Saabs, Volvos & a Volt.

My car was WAY overdue for an oil change, so I shopped around for the best deal on an oil change. Now keep in mind that my particular vehicle only uses synthetic oil, which increases the cost of an oil change quite a bit. Most places were quoting me between $ 60-​$ 70 dollars for an oil change, but I was determined that there was someone who had it cheaper. I logged onto Groupon to see if anyone had any specials on their oil changes. I come across Pronto Quick Lube and Auto Care and noticed that they had a $ 39 synthetic oil change special. I called wanted to set up an appointment because I did NOT want to miss out on this price. I called and spoke with a gentlemen whom informed me that I did not need to purchase the Groupon because they were running that special as a «walk in» price. So I drive to the location to get my oil change.
Upon entering the building, I was greeted by a gentlemen who asked me a few questions about my vehicle. He told me that my particular vehicle the oil filter would be added for free due to the make and model of my vehicle which would save me about $ 10. What a great deal I was getting! Or at least that’s what I thought until I got my bill.
When I receive my bill, it’s almost $ 60! I asked the gentlemen why my bill was so much if you offer a $ 39 oil change special. Well, according to the breakdown of the charges, I was charged the following:
$ 39.00 oil change
$ 9 for oil filter (even though I was told that this would be free)
$ 4 for some type of oil disposal fee
The remaining amount were taxes
When I asked the gentlemen about the $ 9 fee for the oil filter even though he told me it was free, I was then told «well we looked up some information about your vehicle, and it requires a certain oil filter, so therefore we had to charge you for it.» I wasn’t sure to believe him or not, but I just wish that he wouldn’t have told me that this oil filter would be free if he wasn’t even 100% sure at the time.
I had driven from Frisco to Plano thinking that I was getting a awesome deal on an oil change, when honestly, I could have just dropped my car off at Sears Auto Center which is just a few miles away. I would have pretty much paid the same amount for an oil change when it’s all said and done. I will say that the customer service was overall good, but honestly, I do not think that I will be returning. Sorry.

Got a 2005 Chevrolet Kodiak c5500 diesel needed a cp3 fuel pump not a easy job, George there diesel mechanic quoted me a fair price an took the job on. He did the job in a day i was very please with there work an will be taking my wife Chrysler 300 there for some front struts. So for those for diesel an mechanic job give Pronto a call… thanks Michelle an George

I really enjoyed my visit here. I purchased a groupon (oil change and free a/​c check) which was great because my a/​c isn’t working. The front desk lady was very nice and the mechanic was very informative. After my oil change he took me to the back where my car was and showed me my back struts and said they needed to be replaced and that it was almost time to change my front brakes. Other then that I had a very good working car. The a/​c needed a new compressor. GREAT SERVICE!!!

Like other customers the oil change Groupon pointed me here. First Strike: The owner told me since I previously used synthetic oil I must keep using synthetic oil or it would cause my oil pan to leak. NOT TRUE, ATTN: EVERYBODY, you can switch back and forth as much as you like… go ask Penzoil, Valvoline, Mobil, etc. Second Strike: The employee performing the oil change (great dude) alerted me my air filter was pretty dirty and he was right. Unfortunately the owner then told me it was a special order part and was going to charge $ 32.99. I drive a 2013 Nissan Altima. I immediately went to Autozone and purchased the filter for $ 17.99. Won’t be back for a third strike… not even with a FreePon.

Wow! This is just another confirmation why I love a small family business it is as opposed to a large commercial industry. I had a Groupon to this location and was hesitant because I didn’t want them to one take advantage of me and add on a bunch of things that I needed to buy and two treat me less of a customer because I came in with the coupon. They were wonderful from the time I walked in upfront about having to pay for tax that it wasn’t included in the group on and then once my car was finished they were very informative and what they did they double checked the To make sure it was on Ti and asked me questions about my vehicle gave me any additional information that I might meet on the vehicle for future reference is it was just an all-​around great experience I’m really glad I chose this place.

I was 15 minutes late to my appointment because it took me a lot longer than expected to get over there. As soon as I walked in I apologized for being late but asked if they could still do my oil change. Immediatly the lady at the front desk starts YELLING at me for being late and then goes on about how disrespectful it was of me to arrive late. As she’s lecturing me on respect a mechanic walked in and then she starts telling him about how late I am and then HE starts getting angry with me! I finally just got my keys and told them that it was fine and that I will just go somwhere else for an oil change and then the mechanic goes «no its fine I’ll do it.» I was so shocked at how rude these people were to a customer! I understand that I was late but I was not being difficult about it at all. No one should EVER treat a paying customer like that! Maybe it was just the two employees that happened to be there that time but I will NEVER go back here again and I do not recommend anyone to go here, it is just not worth it. Worst customer service I have ever seen.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I had an appt for today at 10am and on the way witnessed a horrible accident that almost involved myself. I of course stopped to see if everyone was okay and give my information made sure I wasn’t needed then went on my way. I was 18 min late because of that. when I got there the OWNER asked me can I help you. I replied yes, I had an appt at 10 and before I could say anything else he cut me off and said your late! You have to reschedule. I tried to explain to him what happened that I am sorry it wasn’t my intention to be late but under the circumstances I would think he’s be a little more sympathetic. All he would say was. is that my fault your late! At that point I was getting very upset combine that with the adrenaline and anxiety from the accident I just witnessed. I had a lot of bass in my voice when I replied, no it’s not your fault. but it’s not mine either! And I would think someone in a customer service job would be just a little more sympathetic!!! His answer. if you don’t calm down I just won’t help you at all! I WALKED OUT! Combine all this with the fact that I drove 45 min to get to his shop and you’d be more than angry as well! I WILL NEVER BE BACK!!! Even my experience aside. it’s in a dingy part of town very trashy building, and has only 2 workers for the entire operation so super easy for things to get looked over! SAVE YOUR BREATH AND TIME!!!

I was trying to save some money and bought a groupon online for an oil change and arrived. Groupon worked fine, however after i got the oil change i noticed a good amount of oil leaking thr next day from my car to the point where i decided to get it checked out. I went to christian brothers (where i normally go!) And was notified that the oil cap wasnt screwed on so the oil was just leaking everywhere which couldve bleww my engine !
I was so upset but decided against complaining over the phone because i dont even want another change from them for free ! so ultimately i paid 60 $ for an oil change. all because pronto doesnt pay attention and is careless .
I learned the hard way. Stick to what you know !
