Sam’s Club

First time here in several months. Very disappointing. Poor selection and poor customer service. Never thought I would experience the day when Walmart and Sam’s didn’t lead the pack. Won’t be renewing my membership. So glad that I also have a Costco membership.

I rarely give stores/​businesses bad reviews, but my experience at this SAM’s Club store when I visited on Superbowl 50 Sunday, 2016 merits this.

I came in with my 3 yr old son to pick up a Superbowl 50 cake that I had ordered earlier in the week and do some additional shopping.

* When I took my 3 yr old to the men’s restroom, I couldn’t believe how dirty it was! Seriously, the urinals were flooded, and it was just a disgusting site to look at!
* Management really need to look at their associate’s morale/​conduct — I know the employees were busy and all, but that should not excuse some of the behaviors/​attitudes I witness with a few of them.
— The lady I interacted with at the bakery was plain rude. Felt like I was bothering her by asking her about my order. She just went about her business, never acknowledging or trying to help me out until I raised my voice to get her to help me get my order which she did with an attitude.
— Some of the employees walking the aisles would not even acknowledge customers or even ask if they need any help. I was looking for an item by the refrigerated section and when I asked one of the SAMs associate I met in the area, he just told me ‘I don’t work in this area!’
— When checking-​out, the cashier closed her check-​out line just when I had placed my items on the conveyor belt and rudely told me to move to another line without even giving me an explanation. She did not even acknowledged me in the first place and should have immediately told me that she was closing her line before I started unloading my stuff onto the conveyor belt! When I moved to another check-​out line with 4+ customers in line, she opened up her line again. Felt like she didn’t want to serve me for some reason! I reported the issue to one of her colleagues and a manager who said he will look into it in a casual manner.
— The associate checking the receipts at the exit can use a smile or acknowledge the customers leaving. Small talk and a smile sometimes go a long way. She looked thoroughly through my 25+ items in my cart, moving one item after another without a word, making me feel like I had stolen something and hidden it within the cart. After what felt like eternity, she signed my receipt and didn’t say a word, I’m the one that greeted her and told her to have a nice day!

Clearly, after my experience here, the management has to work on educating some of their associates on customer interactions. I know they have some great associates, but a few bad apples can affect a customer’s experience. As a service provider, the last thing SAM’s Club wants is have a customer leaving the store with a bad experience. The store is in a good location, and I know I’ll come back given the choices I have, but I have ZERO tolerance for employees who exhibit rude behavior and self entitlement to customers and hope SAM’s Club management can work on this issue.

Worst store. Tried to return something over last weekend. I had a photo copy of the receipt, they would not accept it though they can type in the receipt number and also cross verify my account using membership number. The manager was making his own return rules and policy not mentioned on sams website, he was rude and the agent was disrespectful and provoking to cancel my membership when i mentioned about the costco policy. Looks like they care very little about service and very unprofessional in the manner they reacted to the situation. I also have costco membership adn rarely shop at sams. Not i understand the reason why sams is rated low compared to sams. Looks like nobody will know until they try to deal with their agents.

Great location and conveniently located near Tx 121 and Preston. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are just great!

This SAMs is my favorite. Employees are efficient, selection is on point and store is pretty clean. They also have self checkout which is what I enjoy using, so that’s a plus!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. AVOID THIS SPECIFIC LOCATION AT ALL COSTS.
My family and I had the worst experience today. Aside from the over 1 HR wait just to talk to customer service, my family and I were dealing with Manager Joe who was both condescending, accusatory, and also refused to listen to our situation. He insinuated that my mother was lying about her Sam’s Plus membership when she had THE CARD that said PLUS on it right in front of him when she asked to redeem her cash rewards (even though the system specifically stated she had cash rewards for redemption!). Moreover, Manager (name is Joe) tried to leave in the middle of conversation without resolving the issue at all! We waited 30 minutes for him to even come to the counter. Then, he just ordered the sales associate to look everything up on the computer instead of doing anything himself. He asked, «What’s the issue?» even though we spent the past 30 min. explaining the issue to the sales associate. My mother said, «We already explained it…» and then the manager Joe replied, «Well, explain it again».
We ended up cancelling our membership today after over more than 10 YEARS of membership with Sam’s Club and will be switching to Costco… or so we thought. It turns out I went to a different location today to get the same issue resolved, and it turns out they didn’t cancel our membership at all when we requested to cancel our membership. There’s some SHADY STUFF going on at this location. MANAGEMENT WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO NOT LET YOU PROCESS A RETURN, PRICE ADJUSTMENT, OR GET YOUR CASH REWARDS.
The people here are complete idiots who seriously don’t know how to work their computer machine at the cash register. Also, they REFUSED to listen to the customer and instead, they made ridiculous suggestions regarding how we got our membership. Their attitude was condescending and rude, and kept trying to embarrass the customer. Manager Joe kept insisting we had a regular membership, and also told us that we already withdrew our cash rewards of $ 186 when we didn’t…We said we didn’t, and the manager kept saying «well yes, the system says so. you must have a cosigner then who withdrew the money» and we said, «there’s no cosigner on our card.» Then, the manager ordered the sales associate to check the system to see if we had a cosigner who «withdrew all the cash rewards» on our account. After checking, The sales associate said, «No. they don’t have a cosigner». Stop telling us what we did or what we didn’t. Manager Joe continued to make assumptions and ridiculous suggestions the entire time.
Completely unprofessional and I will be contacting corporate regarding this location and their management.

I often go there and never get disappointed

This sams club is terrible. They had a 1 hour wait to see someone for a battery warranty and then a 1 hour wait to get the warranty approved with customer service.
Costco is a million times better and the staff there is nicer too.

To start off I love Sam’s and I go at least 1 – 3 times a week. Today I saw a BIG cockroach in the salad freezer but didn’t say anything to cause a big scene. Than to top the cherry on my that. I bought 12 bottles of wine and when I went to check out I told them I have 12 bottles (not like the cashier didn’t see himself) he ring me up wrong and they stop me at the door and told me to go to customer service. There customer service is NOT friendly or professional at all! They treat me like I try to steal the wine. There attitude was rude. More like they were trying to embarrassed me. Making comments about make sure she only have 12.
I kept my cool in store but I will for sure be calling corporate! It was their employees mistake. I never said I didn’t want or wasn’t going to pay for the wine. They need to train their employees on what customer service is all about!
I’ll be sticking to Costco for now.

Didn’t like the layout. Some products that are typically near each other (snacks and peanuts) are on opposite ends of the store. Also, had to wait in line for about 10 minutes while two different cashiers tried to make the CC machine work for the person in front of me.

Great layout at this location, but wished they would have provided a map of the store for new members. Also, a list of the food vendors would help as well. I came here on a Sunday to get my membership, and the customer service rep was unsure if there were any food vendors. There were 4 in fact, but that as plentiful as Saturdays.

Tires are cheap here but you pay for it in service afterwards. They are slow and can not quote time correctly. Rotation and balance took over two hours to complete while I watched others 4-​tire purchases get done faster than my vehicle. Not recommend based on services after purchase.
Previously took them an hour to fix a flat tire with one car in the shop.

Don’t buy your tires here. We bought during a sale and the salesman forgot to apply it. We waited a VERY long time. Then discovered we were overcharged and had to wait another 30 minutes in line to get the refund. The person who was over the tire department had to come to customer service and he had a terrible attitude, made very smart a$$ remarks. He didn’t apologize, he didn’t care. The manager had to shush him. We were appalled.
Now we are stuck with using Sams as our service center when there is a problem. My husband went in for a screw in his tire (how ironic) and was there for well over two hours. How is it possible that it takes that long for a simple tire repair?
We’ve not had great luck from the rest of the store either. The pharmacy has some great staff but there are a few bad eggs and we stopped going there altogether b/​c of it.

There are some things that I wouldn’t think to get anywhere else but sometimes the size of some items is overwhelming. Their roasted chicken is just great, these small rolls in their are perfect for breakfast sandwich with ham and eggs. A big family favorite. Speaking of bakery — don’t forget to order a cake. Very nice.

We used to shop at Sams but now I’m all for Costco. Location-​wise, Sam’s is just too far for us… Memberships here are cheaper, but I feel like their selection isn’t as good. I do love me some free samples though!

Got my membership at this club, and the customer service was not the best. They didn’t explain anything — how the coupons work, any of the other perks from membership… were just rushing to get my payment. Also, whenever I do have to visit customer service, they almost never have enough employees for the line that is there. Also, whenever I try calling this store to check on an item, it takes a while before I can speak to someone.
Otherwise, this club is decent. Clean, organized, has a decent selection of items, and has a gas station. I’ve picked up items ordered from online here as well, and the order came out accurate & fast. They also have a full-​body health machine near the pharmacy which is neat: measures blood pressure, vision, BMI, etc.
Prefer the Sam’s club on Coit & Bush for customer service, but this one is closer to my house, so I come here more.

This Sam’s Club is not listed on the search or google map. This is the Sam’s club in Frisco that I always go to. They are like other Sam’s Club and have a gas station too. Also this one is near Walmart.
