Scruffy Duffies

Not a bad place for Texas. Being that is is hot as heck out here, they keep their patio moistened and pretty well served.
Awesome music to top it off. Definitely a place to visit if you are stuck in Dallas for some reason.

My only complaint is that the beer tastes like they don’t clean their lines often enough… very buttery off flavors in the draft craft beer that I’ve ordered.

They didn’t have my favorite beer although it was on the menu (Deep Ellum Dallas Blonde), ordered the pizza and the dough was not cooked all the way through. Our waitress was good though, bar is pretty cool, I like the patio being in the parking garage. I would certainly go back, just mainly for drinks though and not for the food.

What is the fire code capacity? Overcrowded. The place was okay when we first arrived. but get out WAAY early. This place does not give a care about AGE REQUIREMENT or CAPACITY LIMIT.
Cocktail waitress was terrible… she was clearly there just too make a buck. She had no idea about liquors offered, so we just went to the bar ourselves.
Would have left, much earlier had we not been meeting people. We bailed, once they arrived. (and the place was overcrowded with, what appeared to be underage kids, older men and «cougars»)
Would not recommend.

Came here for a friend’s bday. Service was slow… they only had one point of sale computer for all servers. We ordered at 6:50…but didn’t get the happy hour special because our server wasn’t able to imput it until after 7. The drinks were pricy after that… and we didn’t stay long.

If you are a middle aged divorced person trying to go home with a warm body tonight, congrats, I have found the place for you, and that place is Scruffy Duffies.
If, like me, you were just a regular ol’ person trying to have a drink with your friends, eh, there are better options out there. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised by the waitress who checked on us a couple times (although I really really wanted to feed her a burger and put a sweater on her, but oh well, I can’t save the world).
It was oddly packed it here. I asked my husband if there was anyone he would hit on if he were single (I have a weird sense of humor, what can I say) and he thoughtfully looked around before answering no. The same was true for myself.
Drinks were cold and wet, so there’s that.

A «membership only» bar. To gain membership expect to have to give all the info on the government ID you present. None of this was explained before they swiped my DL and credit card. When I declined to sign away my all my personal info to get a beer the waitress snatched the beer off the able like I was trying to steal from her. Too many other good places nearby to waste any time here.

Easy Parking even at 1AM, Great DJ, Quick drinks but I think this place could use some more room. It s a li’l closed in for the no of people they let in.
But definitely a place to go at night when you’re driving and near the area to catch a few drinks and listen to some great music and have a feel good factor on going to a pub on a saturday evening and to get some quick drinks, they serve real fast considering the amount of people they cater to on the house.

Fun bar! Can get kinda pricy if you’re not careful though. It’s a fun place to be if you’re a college kid on break or are a recent grad, really loud and energetic atmosphere. That being said, an older crowd probably wouldn’t like this place.

Came here to watch football on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was easy to find in the lot to the left of the entrance. They had decent Sunday drink specials, a good selection of specialty beers but we chose to drink bloody mary’s and martinis. Plenty of TVs around the bar to watch football. We had a great time here playing Golden Tee and we met a lot of fun and social people. It wasn’t very crowded but everyone was friendly and ready to strike up a conversation. The regulars informed us that the weekends get very busy here.

Terrible. The atmosphere is fine, but the staff are all d-​bags. The doorman was wearing a tight tshirt and weightlifting gloves (crossfit, bro!), but he took our table away because «last night was packed and he needed the space.» Well of course last night was packed, it was New Year’s Eve, idiot. Bartender scolded me because I ordered 4 drinks for our table, but only had two hands. I’ll happily grab another person, but you don’t have to yell at me, this isn’t 2^nd grade.
I’ll never return and I love Mucky, Ice House, Ringos, and other sister locations.
You’re welcome I dropped $ 80 at your bar, sorry I wanted a table. My bad. Won’t happen again.

Was here to meet friends. Several beer on tap options. Many local ones. Nice tvs to watch the game. We were there for Sunday night trivia during the cowboy football game. I’m not a big fan of pro football but the company was good. Pub was clean. Bathrooms stocked and nice.
Appetizers including cheese sticks and nachos were average. The nachos were covered in this hot sauce that really took away from them. Would have preferred the hot sauce on the side. Had to flag down our waitress several times. The pub has easy access to covered free parking which is always nice.

Had 7 double crown and cokes over a 2 hour period and I am walking out more sober than I came it. Great way to spend $ 272 on a Saturday night. What a joke!!!

Great food. Horrible service. Someone came up to my 60 year old mother who was just trying to eat her food and asked if she was too intoxicated and needed to leave. Soon after the same server said he was mistaken and asked the wrong woman he was supposed to ask a «younger» woman. Left my poor mother in tears and we had to walk out on our uneaten food. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Great little bar tucked away in the Shops at Legacy. DJ was on Fire. Staff very friendly and patrons very lively.
Bartenders were great.

Just another Bar. Servers are over worked and service is slow at Happy Hour and on Fri & Sat. night. Order 2 drinks at a time so you wont be waiting for your server for another round.

Being this place located in The Shops of Legacy, I was actually surprised that the prices of their drinks are not hiked up as the other bars in the area. I’ve been here a bunch of times and I can’t believe I haven’t written a review about how I always enjoy my time here. I’ve also tried their pizza and it isn’t bad for not being a pizza place. Whenever in the area, this place is always my first choice to visit just because it is lively, and drinks are not overpriced.

Ok, so this section of Plano is very ‘burb. I’ll give Scruffy points for trying oh so hard to create an outdoor area in a space that I don’t think anyone would have even tried.
The «patio» is actually tucked in the parking garage’s first floor. If you squint your eyes you wouldn’t even know and I suppose that’s the point. The beer selection was proper but nothing astounding or memorable. They did have one decent double IPA but it was bottled. The draft selection were your typical craft players, Lagunitas IPA, Stone IPA, yadda yadda, just nothing you couldn’t find pretty much anywhere else.
Didn’t partake in any food so maybe that will be for another time. The service was great as we had a rather large group and they kept up very well considering.

Great facility and space, staff could use an upgrade. Our large party came here on a Tuesday and were pretty much the only people in the bar. Our service didn’t seem happy that we were there and the service reflected it. She was short with us and not that attentive. One would think you would want some action to get some tips.
That aside, the specials here are decent and their beer selection equally good. The space is new and nice and was perfect for our group. There is an outdoor area that looked nice, although on this night it was too cold to take advantage of that. This place is behind everything so one might not even know it was there.

I’ve been here several, mostly for work happy hours, and it’s a decent bar. I love sitting on their outdoor patio when the weather is nice… makes you feel like you’re in an alley-​type restaurant/​bar which is cool. They play great music, and even show the music videos on the tv’s which are awesome! Of course they have all kinds of beers on tap, but my favorite drink here is their vodka cranberries. They make them with white cranberry juice and throw in dried cranberries, top it with a slice of lime… yum-​o!
I’ve tried the chips and queso, the pretzel and the pigs in a blanket. Each one of these is a solid choice, and great for sharing!
Service has always been fast, even for larger groups, which is a major win in my book. They often have live music which is pretty relaxing and sometimes even have a DJ, and a small little dance floor which is fun.
Make sure you get there early if going for a happy hour or on the weekends… tables both inside and outside fill up quickly.
