Sip-n-doodle

Our friends purchased us a session through groupon as a birthday gift. After the owner argued with my friend about a conversation that they had on the phone about accepting it or not she finally remembered and then complained about groupon and how we should of just purchased it from her. We told her it was a gift and I finally got fed up and asked her if she wanted us to leave!!!
During painting… I got some help on my painting from the owner but my friend got none and felt lost the whole time… when i needed help instead of instructing us she would grab my painting to fix it… she did this with several painters. I won’t be going back. I have been to Painting with a twist in Rockwall and it’s more fun and WAY more professional.

Soooo much fun!!! Excellent way to spend a gloomy Sunday with my future bridesmaids. Came here after a dress fitting with some wine looking for a little relaxation. I love that you can pick out what you want to paint and it’s not the same for everyone. They have a care free leave you worries behind attitude. I will definitely be back with another bottle of wine. Thanks for a great welcoming experience.

Fun times! Some co-​workers and I decided to try Sip-​n-​doodle for our girls night out. We found a Groupon and made our reservation online.
We arrived a bit early, around 6:40, for a 7pm starting time. Stacy was already there and said it was ok that we came in. She showed us where we’d be sitting and then showed us where we could find a picture to paint. Other people started coming in and getting assembled. We took some drinks and snacks. I saw others that brought snack and drink items as well. She has popcorn available and glasses four people to use for their drinks.
We finally started about 7:30 and she gave is basic instructions and we were on our way. She continuously walked around and helped as much as she could along with her assistant. I really enjoyed myself and would definitely go again. There was a drawing at the end of the night where everyone got to choose their favorite painting. That person won a free class. She also had frames available for purchase as well. I’m looking forward to the next time.

Love this place. I’ve been here twice with friends, and both times it has been a fun experience. The first time I went, I was nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. There was really nothing to be nervous about. Stacy will help you out if you feel like you have no clue what you’re doing. I thought the picture I chose to paint was way too hard for me, but with her guidance it actually turned out really well. The second time I went, I brought my own picture to paint. She has tons of pictures for you to choose from, but you can always bring your own. I took another friend with me the second time, and she had a blast as well. Bring your own drinks and snacks, and she has popcorn popping in case you want to snack on that as well. It’s a really great experience, and I can’t wait to go back.
Also, I realized one of my favorite things about Sip-​n-​Doodle is that Stacy has you use chalk to chalk on the outline of whatever you are painting. I went to another BYOB and paint place when I was in another state, and they didn’t do that. I was so frustrated because we all had to paint the same thing, and I kept messing it up. Plus the instructor was so fast in all they wanted us to do. I love how at Sip-​n-​Doodle you can paint whatever you feel like painting… But that chalk, it’s a lifesaver. It’s relaxing and fun, just as a place like this should be. No need for stress.

Sip and Doodle was an amazing experience! It was my first time ever and Stacey made it all worthwhile. You get to choose your own picture to paint!!! AND if you aren’t able to sketch, like me, Stacey will help you. There were a few favorites of the night, «No negative zone». Loved it! Another favorite, she frames or hangs it for you so that you don’t worry about throwing it somewhere under a pile. I highly recommend Sip and Doodle! Stacy ROCKS!!!

I’ve been here twice now and just booked a third evening. I purposely picked Sip-​n-​doodle over the other «paint nite» things because everyone can paint something different. I personally don’t need a winter wonderland, nor two of the exact same paintings in my house (when I went with a person I live with). I’m not artistic, but Stacy will come and help you with whatever you need and she has plenty of pieces that are pretty easy (and plenty that aren’t!). I agree that my experiences have been very different than Veronica’s…plus, can you trust someone with 1 review that happens to be a negative one? Maybe she works at Painting with a Twist ;)
If you’d like, Stacy will drill holes on the side and hang your piece with a coordinating ribbon, and also has matted frames for sale. Bring anything you want to drink, she has glasses, bottle openers and ice. She also makes popcorn. It’s a great time!

Been here last Sunday with 15 of my friends.
The owner is so sweet she really helped us to get our paintings done. It’s a great experience even if you don’t know how to paint — you will get there just give it a chance! With the music and food we brought with us it was a great night !! Highly recommend to go with your kids or friends.

What an awesome experience! I was nervous about picking my own piece to paint, but Stacy walked me and my friend through the approach. Very positive atmosphere and I learned so many techniques. We will definitely be back to paint more custom artwork!

Of all the sip n doodles I have been to, this was the worst experience.
The instructors were not as pleasant or easy to get them to assist with painting suggestions or help. I always take friends and their experience was the same with the Plano location too.
Even making the reservation was unpleasant because I had groupons. The owner said she was getting away from using the groupons and told me to return the groupon and she would give me the groupon price to make a reservation… hello, why not just honor the groupon and make it more convenient for the customer???
I will not be attending another sip n doodle (especially at this location). I will try painting with a twist for my next ones.

We used this location for my bachelorette party just last night. Stacy was fantastic! We had a private party that went into midnight and she stayed positive and upbeat the whole time. It was obvious that this was something she put her heart into and was going above and beyond to make sure our night was fantastic. We had wine and popcorn and chose many different paintings. There were so many options, and if you were stuck Stacy would offer advice and help. This didn’t look like much from the outside so we were a little skeptical, but you don’t need much to paint and drink!

I gave this to my mom for her birthday, and she said it was one of her favorite gifts ever :) We are not artists by any means, but we loved trying (with wine! hey hey!). The staff was friendly, helpful, and didn’t laugh at our attempts. It was a great time and will definitely be back!

Always have a blast when I come here with my daughter or friends. It’s great to just get messy however you want too. With BYOB!
I am no artist but I walked away with a nice souvenir for the night and great social time with friends.
