Stamp Asylum has lasted when many other stamp and scrap stores have folded. I used to take classes here when I was a newbie. You can count on them to have the magazines and the supplies and the STAMPS you haven’t seen elsewhere, and at a reasonable price. I am headed out there to get tickets to the January stamp conventions in our area. If you haven’t browsed the stamps, pens, trinkets, paper, markers, and so forth. .. you should!

I think it is most appropriate to call this little shop«asylum» because you can go crazy with stamps and many accessories to use stamps to their greatest potential. I came in with my brother and we were able to look at so many things in the store that it was hard not to buy everything. The cost of stamps is surprising to me especially the larger the stamp is. But when you’re serious, this place means business. You can get maintanence for your stamps, paper, and not to mention handmade cards. The creativity in that store is just endless. The coolest thing is that when you go in, you can get a punch card which allows you a special discount after you’ve reached 20 punches. They also give free small pamphlets that you browse through. I think its great to go into for stamp lovers, artsy people, and craft enthusiasts.

As a stamp store, you can’t do much better than Stamp Asylum. I love this store. Amazing selection of stamps & related supplies, including Copic markers, unusual papers, bits & bobs. These are not the same old stamps/papers you can find in any of the big chain stores. This is the store to go to when you want to create something besides what everyone else is already making. The owner is very helpful & knowledgeable, generous with info when I asked questions, but didn’t hover(I can’t stand hoverers). When I told her I was new to stamping/crafting, she told me to feel free to take pictures of any of the samples, & crafts that had been completed & was helpful in finding supplies that went with any of them. I swear, she knows her inventory off the top of her head.(I barely know all the stamps I have in my sparse little stamp drawer!) The place has periodic classes for various types of crafts & mixed media — I haven’t tried any yet, but hope to soon.

If you’re into stampin’, this is where you get your goods on, people. Stamps, inks, stickers, stencils, trinkets, letters, paper stock, glitter, pens, pencils, markers, embossing tools… you get the idea. And throughout the store find TONS of finished projects to admire or glean ideas from. The owners here offer classes as well, so be sure to ask!
