Ok we went two weeks ago, with a group of friends. We all ordered the all you can eat meal plan. We ordered items off the menu, and ate off the conveyor belt of sushi. Every thing was good, they kept the food coming along with the drinks. We will go back. We are looking forward to it.

I’ve gone here once for a double date. It was okay. There aren’t that many sushi conveyor belt restaurants around this vicinity yet, so it’s a nice and new experience. Despite the menu looking like it has a wide variety of sushi, the rolls put out onto the belt tasted similar to each other. You can ask them to make a specific roll you want, but skill level wasn’t quite there, so it doesn’t really matter. Quality of sushi was average to alright. It’s fine for beginners trying sushi for the first time so that they’re exposed to the idea of sushi and how it’s sort of supposed to be, but if you have a golden tongue for sushi, then you won’t be impressed by the lacking taste in these rolls. I think the best roll that I ate here was the roasted salmon nigiri upon request to the«sushi chef,» who roasts the salmon using fire which is cool to see. He was extremely young, and you can evaluate his level of experience by how sloppy the rolls looked when you take them out of the lid covered plate. Quality sushi rolls are beautifully crafted to where you think it’s an art and presentation radiates with delicate finesse. These rolls are comparable to the convenient boxed sushi at my university, which are just decent enough to eat. Service from the waitresses were average. They just refill your water cups. The«sushi chef» was really friendly, but that’s because he was interested in my best friend and couldn’t tell that it’s her boyfriend sitting next to her lol. Pricing is also extremely expensive, as you pay by the plate. It is also not worth the drive, being too far from where I live. I definitely would not come back here, sadly to say.

Never been to a sushi conveyor belt before, this was a good experience for my first one. Something about seeing the plates slide around on the table just kind of adds to the fun of the experience. The sushi was really good. What I like is that they don’t add a whole bunch of rice to rolls to fill you up with the cheap, empty calories and skimp on the fish. Very well balanced. Tasted fresh. For the price I would definitely try it

My first time at this restaurant, to begin with waiting staff were very very friendly and accommodating we got the buffet for 17.50 and I had hot green tea which was great. The food was above average I liked most fire cracker and volcano and eel. Only think I didn’t give it 5 stars was the bench at the first booth it’s broken and need to be replaced other than that I’ll be there again and again

The sushi chef and wait staff are very friendly!!! The sushi is very good tasting and we love the Torch roll(special order during lunch, but, comes with buffet price). The volcano roll and crazy roll are also very good. We have been there multiple times and even our kids love the sushi!!!

I always love the idea of conveyor belt sushi and think there should be more places like this in DFW area. Sushi Envy was below average but I definitely think they have good potential as long as they make few changes. Pros: I liked their hot green tea because it actually had strong tea flavor and warm teas always go well with sushi. They were good about refilling them too. The conveyor belt was full of food which was nice to see as we walked in even though they were all just rolls, better than it being sparsely empty. I liked their pricing of the buffet as they were cheap. We got the nigiri buffet for $ 22.50 which includes everything other than the things off of special order menu. It was pleasant that the miso soup was under the buffet menu as well because other conveyor places like to have them under extra. The quality and taste of the sushi were pretty good for the cheap buffet price. Definitely better than sushi from groceries stores but don’t expect them to be great. Several of my favorites were: shrimp tempura, roasted salmon(they are pretty much fully cooked), surf clam, and California rolls. Cons: I thought that their service could’ve been more efficient. The waiters and sushi chef were nice but the only sushi chef that was working kept on leaving his kitchen area to go to the back which I’m guessing was to get more ingredients? He would be gone for five or more minutes at a time so we would have to wait a several times to order more nigiri. I know that the reason they don’t leave any nigiris on their belt is to make sure they are fresh and don’t go to waste but if I’m having to constantly order through the chef for the fresh nigiris, at least he should be there at all time or at have two chefs working at a time to take orders. Also they were out of 4 things out of 14 nigiri sushi choices. I think that’s a lot missing especially when we came here specifically for nigiri buffet. Next time I come, I’m planning on calling ahead to see which meats they are out of so that I can make sure I’ll have more of a variety for the same price I will be paying. Overall they could’ve been better prepared for their dinner hours. I’m willing to come to this place again! They just have many room for improvement.

SUSHION A CONVEYORBELT — GENIUS! We had seen sushi conveyor restaurants in CA but had no idea they were here! The girls had a great idea to try a sushi conveyor belt place so we made our way to northwest Plano to try Sushi Envy. We were greeted immediately and the host explained how the sushi a la carts, buffet, and special orders worked, and it was time to start reaching for what we wanted :) Every plate is $ 2, and as you can see from the photo, the 4 of us put away a lot of plates! It’s really fun to eat this way — to pick what comes by based on how it looks and discover new tastes. We NEVER would have ordered the variety of sushi we tried tonight at a regular sushi bar. It would have been $ 150 easily, with all the different kinds of rolls we tried. Spicy tuna rolls were not blazingly spicy, but were nicely seasoned. Reverse California rolls are impeccably fresh. Some come draped in shrimp, others in salmon or Krab, some with a spot of Sriracha, some with a kiss of sweet Mayo. Half the fun is seeing what variety comes next! We truly enjoyed our conveyor sushi experience and will definitely recommend this place to our friends and Unilocalers!

Great experience! Some of the waiters/waitresses are a bit quiet(not rude or unfriendly at all though), but those that do talk have great and amazing, amazing personalities. I’ve been there 3 times, and 2 out of 3 times, it was the best service I’ve ever gotten anywhere! There are a bunch of various delicious sushi rolls moving around the whole restaurant that you can choose from, including wasabi and ginger. If you want a roll that you don’t see, nigiri, or sashimi, feel free to order an endless quantity of it. :) I’m in love with the Volcano Roll, and Albacore Nigiri, and my mom and sister both rave about the Roasted Salmon. The drinks come with free refills, and the hot green tea really soothes my achey full tummy at the end of the meal. ^^ You might want to check their website for specials, it’s worthwhile, will come again to take pictures!

Fun place! Music, sushi, beer! The $ 2 beers on Sunday are a great deal. Cool place to chill have a Saporo and some rolls. Not a «high end» place but great vibe and friendly staff. Go and have fun!

The rolls are ok but they aren’t changed out a whole lot. It’s about a handful of standard rolls. I’ve only gone due to it being so close to work. It is cheap $ 12 – 13 for lunch but not really anything wonderful and tasty.

Service is ok and sushi is gross. There is a reason it’s $ 12 for all you can eat. Everything is a California roll with way too much rice and barely any fish. Don’t waste your time or money, gross

So, I’ve gone to this place with my classmates from smu in Plano twice so far(they have gone more than me) and both times we were greeted with eagerness and excitement you don’t see at many places. Rina(I think that’s her name) is so incredibly nice and friendly! I love the conveyor belt sushi cause it’s simple and nice to try a variety of things.(I’m not a picky eater so I enjoyed everything I tried) My friend got some more of the nicer rolls and loved them. I recommend this place for the food but more importantly for the service! :)

Came here for lunch with my sister on a Friday. We went early so it wasn’t crowded. I’ve only been to one other conveyor belt sushi restaurant and it was in Tokyo so I had high hopes for this place. It didn’t disappoint! We both did the roll buffet since it was $ 5 cheaper. My favorites were the torch, eel, and volcano rolls. Excellent service. We will definitely come again!

This is the first revolving sushi bar I’ve been to since I moved to TX from CA in 2014. The food was pretty good! All I had was tuna rolls, miso soup and hot green tea. The customer service was excellent and our waitress was very nice and attentive. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll think of this place for food.

What a fun experience! My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday for lunch. We had recently tried the conveyor belt sushi experience while on vacation in Oregon, and we were excited to try it a little closer to home. After doing our research, we determined that Sushi Envy had one of the best lunch deals out there: For $ 17.50, you get all-you-can-eat sushi rolls and nigiri, plus appetizers. There are other options(you can do a la carte and pay $ 2 per plate, or pay $ 12.50 for just a roll buffet, no nigiri) but if you’re really hungry and love variety, the $ 17.50 buffet is for you. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated at the sushi bar. The restaurant is mostly sushi bar, with a few booths in the back for larger parties. There were a few TVs on the walls playing sports and the Travel Channel, and pop music on the stereo. It was a lively environment. The hostess brought us water and gave us an in-depth explanation of their pricing options, being careful to explain their policy that everyone in one party must pick the same option(clearly they’ve been burned by people not understanding that fact in the past, but it seems pretty reasonable to me). We let her know we’d be doing the Roll/Nigiri buffet, and then we started taking rolls off the conveyor belt immediately! The rolls were delicious! As other reviewers have noted, they were mostly California rolls with different sauces or toppings, like avocado or eel. We did have a few Philadelphia rolls, and spicy tuna rolls. There were also a few warship-style sushi with roe and shredded lobster. Everything was great, and even better, made fresh directly in front of us! Our sushi chef was just feet away, and we got to watch him make everything and make special requests of him whenever we saw something on the menu that wasn’t on the belt. This was especially true of the nigiri, which was always special order. Of the nigiri, we tried: salmon, tuna, clam, mackerel, octopus, egg, and roasted salmon(which they cook with a blow torch!). All of it was tasty. Our sushi chef was very skilled and fun to watch. Our waitress was also very nice, checking in on us, asking if she could bring us appetizers that weren’t on the belt(I ordered some miso soup, very yummy). After we had stuffed ourselves silly we were going to order some ice cream(included on the Roll/Nigiri buffet) but sadly they were all out. Probably for the best, considering how much sushi we ate. After tax and tipping both our sushi chef(who you tip with cash in a jar that comes around on the belt) and our waitress(who you can tip on your card) our bill was a little over $ 43, which is a crazy good deal considering how much we ate and how much fun we had. Needless to say, I am a big fan!

I am sad to have to change my opinion of this place, and even have to add a second review that is not better than the first. It may have been a bad day for the a majority of workers, but with that said, I feel that a service with a particular employee seemed to be under par as compared with afternoon service. The evening employee was highly forgetful, and seemed lost for periods of times. The explanation of the menu, as there was a stretch between visits, was difficult to understand from her and felt disjointed. In the end it made us just eat a few from the belt as our appetite was fairly ruined by our confused and irritated mood. The second issue was the ordering process. My partner ordered a roll and waited fifteen minutes for a non-special roll. All would have been good, if we were notified that the sushi chef placed it on the belt. That situation was not the case, as in this wait time our server walked back and forth, making eye contact, and not notifying us that it was a roll that was actually placed on the belt. The restaurant as whole was not bad. The sushi chef even wanted to go to know us and held a good size conversation with us. The senior employees did take notice of our disgruntled nature due to bad service, and attempted to console us by picking up the slack of the«not up to par» server. I am giving the store another chance after this as I always feel that everyone has their bad days. The first experience is still holding me up, but if the service from my latest visits repeats, I will discontinue being a customer. *** Edit 21 September 2015 *** Response to Cindy W.: I heard of your restaurant from my fiancé, who in turn found your restaurant on Unilocal

I think 3.5 stars would be fair. You have 3 options. You can pull plates off the conveyer for $ 2 each, you can do the roll buffet, or the nigiri buffet. You seem to get more w the nigiri buffet which is about~$ 22/person. We decided to do the roll buffet. The rolls on the conveyer was a sufficient dinner. But the nigiri buffet included some appetizers and ice cream. The fact that everything is on the belt is pretty cool. I think this place would be a great place for sushi newbies. However, if you’re used to more expensive stuff, this place might not be for you. If you like California rolls this place might also be for you, they have every variation of the California roll, that’s putting it in the nicest way possible:-) Things to improve: roll quality and variety and dessert. Feel dessert should be included in any buffet. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad, but also not the best. Would I come here again? Maybe… Probably with someone who hasn’t had sushi before… Staff was friendly and polite, explained it to us really well.

Their sushi here are basically all California rolls with different fish/sauce on top. There wasn’t a big variety of flavors. The only one that stood out to me was the torch roll. Their«roasted salmon» nigiri was good too. but a little too burnt. Also, what disappointed me the most was that they didn’t have a good tuna roll. Their spicy tuna does NOT look or taste like spicy tuna. *See the pic I posted* It looked like beat up generic tuna with pepper seeds to spice it up. I know how to make spicy tuna… and whatever they serve is NOT spicy tuna. Ugh. I’m from the West Coast and the lower quality sushi conveyor belts over there are way better than this one. That’s sad. I only give it 2 stars instead of 1 because it’s the only sushi conveyor belt in this area. So it’s better than not having one.

This was all right. The buffet was about $ 12.50 I believe for one person or $ 2 per plate. Arrived around 1. And it was pretty slow. But that’s okay. 3 stars due to the food. There were about 5 rolls going in circles. Most of them had to do with imitation crab. Got bored with it pretty quickly. The taste was all right. It was a fun experience with the conveyor belt. I just wish they had more to offer. Would I be back? No thanks, I’ll stick with sushi sake, blue fish, raa sushi, etc. If you check in on Facebook! They give you a free miso soup! Ask for no onions. Also, if you want a cup of soda to go, they’ll just pour the remaining drink you are drinking into a foam cup. Lol. We thought it was going to be a new one from the fountain. Anyways. The waitress was nice.

We’re so happy to have a good kaiten sushi restaurant in the DFW area. It’s a fun conveyor belt concept(although common in other places in Europe/Asia). Our favorite is Blue C in Seattle, but this comes the closest in DFW. The host and waitstaff are always smiling and very polite. Get the buffet! Go big or go home(also they have a great happy hour special). The quality is pretty good for casual dining. You see the sushi chef making it in front of you and it goes directly on the conveyor belt. We’ve been a few times and its always busy enough that fresh food is constantly being put out. If you don’t see something you want on the belt, you can special request it at no additional cost. We noticed people nearby NOT asking and complaining loudly that they only saw California rolls(as 5 – 6 different types went by them… we were happy to grab them). Compliment: One of the guys assisting the main sushi chef was rudely distracted by a loud customer trying to take a picture — causing the assistant chef to accidentally cut himself. With knowledge of food handling safety standards, this restaurant perfectly addressed the issue and thoroughly cleaned the space. We felt bad for him, but it was nice to see them maintain high cleanliness standards. If you are willing to pay more for a sushi buffet without the fun conveyor belt concept, we do recommend places like Osaka or Tokyo One.
