25 minutes in line with only 2 people in front of me. waited and waited and waited. paid for my stuff and asked for a pack of cigarettes. i pointed to the ones i wanted and stated 3 times which ones they were. got to my hotel and they were the wrong ones. beyond crazy. the walgreens management team has a lot of work to do at this dump.

Side note: it has been 2 weeks, and save for a few nice people on the Facebook page, with promises of being contacted within 2 – 3 days, walgreens has done NOTHING to make this right.
Dear friends and family and LGBT community, I have a shocking story to tell you. On September 19, 2013 I was asked to leave my favorite Walgreens. I sent the following letter in to their corporate office that night, I have yet to hear anything back. Please share. There could be one, or many issues here. I ask that you help spread the word so it is resolved.
«I have been going to the Walgreens at 901 legacy dr. in Plano TX since I was old enough to ride a bike. I am 25 years old now. My friends and family have been using the corner store for over a decade. I had been using the store as a meeting place for my bus. I would go in, get a sip of water, cool off, and most days buy a drink or something to eat. Occasionally browse for future purchases. On this specific day, after a long bike ride in the heat, I head back to the water fountain like I had been doing for a month at that point, and the woman up front calls me out in front of a group of customers. She completely humiliated me by saying its „Policy“ for me to leave me bag at the front. I have seen time and time again old women with purses, kids with backpacks, moms with diaper bags, and people with backpacks in general. I myself have always come in with a backpack. She gestured as if I am supposed to leave my backpack by the front either on the filthy ground or in the ONE wheelchair. My family is heavy with disability and I am appalled at EITHER of these „subtle“ suggestions. I asked to speak with a manager. He gave the same speech. I said that I did not know any of those people and did not feel comfortable leaving my bag near the front (as I have had someone take off with my belongings in the past, just recently had my iphone stolen out of my hands). HE KICKED ME OUT! I am absolutely furious. As is my family and my friends who grew up in this very neighborhood. There was no where to safely leave my bag, I was surely discriminated against because they clearly pick and choose who they make to follow said policy. And if I cannot safely browse my neighborhood corner store without being harassed and embarrassed, or nervous about leaving my bag out and about, I WILL NOT be returning. This is not a threat. I realize your business will still thrive. Rather to inform you of the RIDICULOUS situation and to bring light to this supposed „policy“. Let’s see if you’re the family oriented company I always thought you were. I have never written a corporation before. I RARELY will give a bad review. I have never been so furious with the way I was treated. And to be honest, I’m wondering if it’s because I am obviously gay, or because I am white and she was not. Maybe it was the way I was dressed. Regardless, that is 1) an absolutely RIDICULOUS rule. 2) You have no safe alternative for our bags. 3) Not everyone is forced to follow this policy. I WOULD KNOW. So that leaves nothing BUT ROOM for discrimination. PLEASE FIX THIS, IT IS NOT RIGHT.»

Extra info: No, I didn’t recognize the woman in the front. Yes, I am aware this may not be a gay thing. I am also aware that it could definitely be discrimination of some sort as I, nor any of my friends or family, have EVER been asked to do such a thing at this store or ANY store in the past.
