Unfortunately our experience at ZaLat was disappointing. Our server was friendly and worked very hard to make sure everyone was taken care of, he didn’t have a choice though, he was the only waiter on the floor. The pizza wasn’t bad but the NYC is NOT a true NY pizza and their attempt was laughable. We paid extra and had to wait longer than expected(30+ minutes), waiter said it was due to the large pizza but it doesn’t take any longer to make a similar pie in NY. The lack of single slices available was disappointing as well. This new yorker would really love to find an actual NY pizza place and not some awful imitation.

Pizza was excellent and the waiter Phil works his butt off. He serves the tables, pours drinks and busses the tables. We went in late on a Saturday night, the place was very busy and he was the only one working the dining room, This was our second visit and we will definately will be back.

Pizza was okay. Not amazing or make you want to run back anytime soon. I ordered a cheese pizza with black olives and mushrooms. Pizza came out extremely overcooked and black on the bottom crust. Our waiter was was extremely nice and the atmosphere was good. Just no hurry to come back!

Tasty elotes(street corn) pizza. It was something different and fun. Got more addictive the longer we ate it. Drinks were good, atmosphere was simple metal chairs and plain tables. I’d go back and try some of the other fun options. Only 4 stars because they need to hire more people. The waiter was funny and nice enough, but he could barely take a breath and was running around trying to help the customers all night. Slow service, but we get it. They did a great job. Pizza was definitely fresh and delicious. Full bar available.

Location is very small, would not recommend for large groups here. Pizza was awesome! Ordered the Zealot, Pineapple Express, and buffalo chicken pizza to share among 6 people. Total came out to $ 10.80/ person, 4 – 5 pizza slices each. Zealot didn’t feel«special» just like an ordinary pizza, but the Pineapple Express was the best flavor-wise. Buffalo chicken pizza has the flavor but I wish there was more chicken on it. Our server Dani rocked the place and was the only server there. Will definitely come back and try more pizza. Has a few arcade games inside the location as well!

The food took over an hour and my son was starving. It was somewhat busy, but not all the tables were full. The pizza wasn’t that good and it took a long time to get our drinks. I have never been to a restaurant that took so long to cook a pizza or any food. I won’t be going back.

Super bummed to take a star away but, it’s for two very specific reasons. 1. The service the last time I was there was sub par. Our service lacked in terms of getting our table drinks and refills of those drinks(non alcoholic type, our booze was plenty). She was more concerned with her phone and other staff than making sure we had water or refills of that water. Such minor things that can really impact a service, it’s not as if we didn’t ask for the drinks, we did. She would just forget to get them. There weren’t a lot of people in the dining area so to say she was overwhelmed with serving customers wouldn’t be accurate. 2. No longer offer delivery– yes, this is a huge bummer for me. I’m close enough for pick up, but I’m really a fan of delivery. I’m sure there was a business reason, but it still sucks lol The aforementioned items won’t stop me from dining in or picking up, but I do think there are some improvements that can be made terms of the service. It happens to the best of us and I’ve been there so I get it.

Even though the pizza was great I doubt I’ll come back. Maybe I’m not the intended audience but not offering pizza by the slice for lunch time seems like a huge mistake for this cute little corner shop. A standard cheese, pepperoni, and special of the day offering by the slice would’ve been so welcome. I would have spent the same amount for less pizza and been happy. Add to that an exorbitantly priced beer and I can’t imagine ever going back. Eight bucks for a lunch beer which was half head isn’t acceptable. Pour a few down the drain before you serve a newly tapped keg, man! The small round tables don’t call forth a group of coworkers from the city offices across the street but then the pizza sizes expect a mass of coworkers. Two of us were forced to share a pizza. It was very different and so tasty. We loved the SriRancha! I wish the servers weren’t so stingy with the little cups though. Who wants to double dip their pizza into a community sauce? Gross. If they had people outside sampling pizzas they would have had a full restaurant at lunch. The pizzas are so good but just not a viable daytime option. Maybe their nighttime crowds make up the difference so their lack of daytime business isn’t a problem. All in all, great pizza but bring a crowd and expect to pay dearly for a simple beer.

The Pizza is unique and we like it that way. The kids enjoy hanging out and people watching while we dip our pie in Sirancha sauce. A fun little local hangout.

Came here twice, two different occasions, to be turned around due to Zalat being out of dough. I mean. come on guys… You’re a pizza shop. How can you possibly mis-manage dough inventory? I’ll send my 4th grade niece who is capable of keeping track of such pertinent ingredients. On to the million other pizza shops in Dallas, good luck Zalat!

After a long day of moving I ordered a sausage, mushroom and onion pizza with jalapenos. I was told the total would be 29 bucks which gave me a little shock but I was starving and assumed the pizza would look like the photos I had been viewing while checking this place out. The disappointment started with the small pitiful looking pizza in the box and then continued with the bland crust. Definitely a below average tasting pizza that resembled nothing of the photos posted along with a $ 29 price tag. Won’t be back and just moved within walking distance… What a shame because I love pizza!

This place was recommended to us by a group of friends and the pizza was great as expected. But the reason I’m taking time out to review this place is because of the exceptional service. Our servers name was Ellie if I remember correctly. We came in on a late weekend night and the place was busy with a full bar. We were seated immediately and had someone at our table in no time. Our server was knowledgeable and went out of her way to explain all the different pizzas on the menu. I noticed she managed to maintain a high level of service at our table while working the bar as well. Even though our pizza took some time it was worth the wait. Good food, great service — definitely coming back!

Zalat makes a pretty good pizza. I was craving pizza for lunch and felt like splurging a little. Here how I did it: ~Order online(I got 25% off of my first order) or through their app. You can either choose the quickest time — which for me was about an hour — or a later time. It doesn’t even have to be the same day so you can schedule your Friday night pizza well in advance. ~The website says a 14″ is enough for 1 – 2 people. If 2 people are going to eat 4 pieces each, then yes, this pie will feed 1 – 2 people. Otherwise, it’ll feed up to 4. ~The Zealot is fantastic. The ingredients are fresh, the crust is crunchy chewy and the sauce is tomatoey enough without being cloying or too sweet. ~Order extra Sriracha ranch. One isn’t enough. ~Find a place to park. This is where it gets tricky. Downtown Plano at lunch is insanely busy. Fortunately, there are a couple of lots behind the center. Hopefully, the construction ends soon and they open up fully. ~Pick up your pizza. Since I paid online, I was in and out in under 60 seconds. Be sure to eat a slice before you get back to work/home, it’s best hot out of the oven. It’s still pretty good lukewarm and heats up quite well. I’d do it again.

Meh. I rather just order Papa Johns or chow on CiCi’s. At least I know what I’m getting. It’s very hard to find good pizza in Dallas… this saddens me. I want traditional NY Style Pizza. I think the mall pizza Might be my best bet. It was okay… but definitely not going out my way to get this stuff again. The pizza scene in this city is just bad.

I’m pretty happy with this place. The pizza was good. Better than average but not like rocket to the moon good. I got the OG pizza and it was particularly oily from all the sausage meats, I’m assuming. The wife’s side of the pizza, margherita, was just fine, not oily, of course and the wife really enjoyed it despite the use of marinara sauce instead of a garlic butter. The take home box suggests that you reheat your pizza in a skillet. I did it and it was okay, it took too long and the toppings didn’t heat well enough. It did give a crispy crust which I liked. Inside it smells a little like a bathroom, like bathroom cleaner. In one way, that’s good, it means it should be clean, but on the other hand, it smells like a bathroom — not so good. Don’t be fooled by their video game machine, it’s $.50 to play, not $.25 like you think. I played a game of Dig-dug and it was as if I were back in Aladdin’s Castle in 1987 at Prestonwood mall. If you know what I’m talking about, you should request to be my friend. All in all, a decent pizza experience. The pizza is thin crust so it will lose it’s temperature quickly. Keep it covered to retain the heat.

Decided to try this out on a Friday night soon after it re-opened as a pizza joint. There was a decent crowd but not so much that we couldn’t find a table. There wasn’t a server in sight so we seated ourselves and picked up a menu off the bar. When she did appear she was accommodating but not overly engaging, and later she was hard to find when we wanted attention. This is definitely a pizzeria – nothing but pizza on the menu, so if you are looking for salad or other fare you might try another restaurant. Great variety of NY style pizzas in two sizes on the menu with the additional option to create your own. I liked the concept better than I liked the pizza. The NY style menu will definitely appeal to some. For the price, I would opt for Urban Crust just down the street, but I’ll probably give this another go some time. Hopefully, they’ll have the serve down pat next time. And, for what it’s worth, they often have a decent crowd into the night, so somebody likes this place.

14″ The Veggie Vegetarian(not Vegan bc our dough has honey) — red bell peppers, black olives, red onions, mushrooms, spinach & basil garnish. $ 14.99 This is from their menu. It says their veggie pizza would be vegan except there’s honey in the crust… so I order this pizza assuming it’s vegan(with honey in the crust). I get home to find the pizza is covered in cheese. When I call back to tell them this, the lady laughs and says, «All pizzas have cheese on them.» THENCHANGEYOURMENU, PLEASE.

Little place in old downtown Plano serves up good pizza baked in a standard type pizza oven. Like the other reviews say, the service is a little slow, but super friendly. I had the cheese bread app, the crave, and margherita. All were very good, but I didn’t leave super impressed. Would I crave this place? Probably not, none of it rocked my world. My fave pizza is baked in a wood fired oven. Would I recommend this place? Sure, if you’re in the area and you enjoy NYC style pizza. I’m just more of a Neapolitan or even Chicago type of girl.

I was excited to hear that Zalat opened closer to my area after hearing wonderful things about its original location. We arrived here and did not know they are still in their soft opening stage as most of their pizzas were not available to order. This was a little disappointing as we definitely wanted to try the pizzas with a spin on them. We ended up ordering the Crave pizza which consists of pepperoni, salami, red onion and black pepper. This pizza was delicious with the crust being cooked to perfection. The ingredients are super fresh and was cheesy in every bite! My only issue is the wait time. The pizza took over 40 minutes and kills a dining experience. It seemed to me that they were only cooking one pizza at a time in their oven. I hope to revisit when they are fully staffed and I have the option to choose any pizza from their menu. But for now I rate this place 3 stars.
