Adventure Bay Early Learning Center

This school discriminated against me. They have a small handful of black students for reasons of tokenism. I inquired in person and the director told me they had no space for additional students and I called a few days later without giving my name and was told «yes, we have space».
My child and I left out of state for several months and upon returning, I visited Adventure Bay once again. I couldn’t believe I had the exact same experience for the second time. I have reported this institution to the Board of Ethics within the School Board and will pursue this matter.
I brought this issue to the Director’s attention and she told me that Adventure Bay «WAS NOT THE SCHOOL FOR MY CHILD!»
I am a college graduate, from a family of successful entrepreneurs and one myself. Our society is entering a time of diversity which includes America’s first minority President. As a community we need to do everything in our power to discourage prejudice and discrimination.
I am very upset that my innocent 4 year old had to face this saddening experience. I argued for our rights and hope this institution will learn from their doing.

Amazed they are still in business! Wish i could give them LESS than 1 star!
The new owners are horrible, treat the employees awful, no supplies at all from what i can see. Parents are constantly asked to bring in items that tuition should definitely cover! Like art supplies, cleaning supplies, paper?
They are incredibly overpriced for what they provide — which is basically nothing .
Pulled my child out after being there 3 months. Beware parents, they seem to only be in this for the money only — not caring at all about the children, the parents or the employees!!.
Many, if not all, the teachers have left — and the constant turnover there bordered on ridiculous!
Bad, VERY Bad… SO bad!!!

My daughter has been attending this day care since August and I have been very pleased with how caring and friendly everyone is at this facility. The price as indicated by the previous review is similar to different day care’s around the area. So i don’t see what the big deal is. As to the turnover, so far i have not seen anyone taking care of my daughter quit and everyone seems to be happy to work there. My daughter has done really well in this daycare and is happy when she’s is dropped off. If you live in the area i encourage you to visit the different providers of day care after i visited a handful, i felt this was the most secure, best staff and clean day care around my area.

As much as I feel my child has prospered and learned at this school, I would not recommend it to any parent! Within the last 2 years, turnover rate of teachers has been extremely high and the cost of the school is amongst the highest in Broward County. Every interaction I have had with either of the owners has been negative and to the point of them not caring about the opinions of the parents that send their children to this school. They are more concerned with the mighty dollar than actually ensuring the teachers are taken care of personally as well as with the proper supplies for the classrooms. All the teachers left because they were unhappy with the way the owners are running the school and the fact that they are not paid well and have no benefits. Some of the current teachers are great with the kids, but the issues with the owners are the reason for the high turnover and unhappiness amongst the remaining teachers!
Tuition is increased every year and it is not comparable to other schools in the area— I have visited the majority of pre-​schools in Plantation, Davie and Sunrise and they are the only ones that increase their tuition every year but do not offer additional services or programs!
Because the owners do not ensure the classrooms have all needed supplies, teachers are constantly requesting parents to volunteer to bring in food for weekly special projects as well as cleaning and art supplies throughout the year. When your child’s school tution is already high, I feel it is unfortunate that parents are being asked to spend more money because the classrooms are not properly stocked with needed supplies.
I feel the direction of this school is not geared toward educating the children, it is all about the bottom line.
BEWARE of this school’s rising tuition, hidden costs and new teachers every year!
Looks can be deceiving and the longer you are there, the more you will see !!
