I went to this store to look at some new golf clubs. I wasn’t sure what set I wanted so I hit a few. I went home and gave it some thought and checked prices elsewhere. I sent an email to the manager and asked if they price matched because I would like to support the store because I live locally and I prefer to support B&M stores. Well, the answer was yes via email. When I went to purchase the clubs that day as well as a new 3 wood they brought out a different model of the club. Apparently I was speaking with the assistant manager the whole time. He said he thought that was the set I was talking about. I told him to go check the email. He even went to confirm the price of the clubs and came back and told me I was right about the price they were being sold for(as if I was lying). Either way he left and when upstairs to the office and I was standing there wondering what the deal was. I waited for a few minutes and started walking out. He proceeded to come and tell me that they could sell me the clubs for $ 100 more. I was upset because it seemed he tried to pull one over on me. I said no thanks. He should have honored what he committed to via email. Otherwise figure out a way for me to be whole with the 3 wood or some other item. I would have paid more for the clubs and bought other items if he had presented something reasonable. This is not the kind of service and relationship with a B&M I want. I am a good customer and support good service. I even wrote to their headquarters and didn’t hear back. Poor Poor customer service. They don’t value their customers! Not to mention their prices are much higher than just about everywhere else.

Ok i have been meaning to write this for a while… the owner of this store needs to hear this… I believe it was Sunday April 291th2012 at 4:45 pm when this happened. I had just landed in Miami on a flight from istanbul — it is for an annual golf holiday i have been doing with a group of friends from montreal for 25 years now. I walked into this particular edwin watts location and browsed a bit. When a sales guys asked if he cold help me i said«i need to buy everything.» Meaning everything… woods, irons, hybrids, putter wedges, bag, shoes, balls, towel, cap,…everything. He understood what i said because he said we are closing in 15 minutes. I could not believe my ears. I was about to spend more than $ 2000USD and the guy says they are closing. Anyways, i looked at him and said ok, i will come back tomorrow. I didn’t go back, i went to A nearby Dicks Sporting Good the next morning and spent $ 2300 on everything! If you own this store or are the gm of the store — true story. By the way i do this every two years, show up with nothing just so i can outfit myself with the latest gear back in istanbul. It will be Dicks that hears me say«i need everything» in a year and a half. Cheers. Trev
