Jacaranda Square Dentistry

This is in addition to my previous review.
Dr ongley made the decision, that we would no longer be patients of hers, when we questioned her staff, in regard to calling us to confirm our appointments for the following day. They kept calling the wrong number and refused to accept that it was their error. Even after the wrong number they were calling, the person they were calling by mistake called the dentist and notified them that they were calling the wrong number. After being her patients for 20 years, with the same phone numbers, her staff continued to blame us for their mistake. Dr. Ongley took their side, and decided to throw us out, we were no longer welcome in her office!
Please do not go here!

Okay… who are these people writing bad things about Dr Ongley and her top notch staff? Love her dental assistant Maria, and her front area ladies Candace (loves pretzels) & karina do a great job! I have been a patient for 15 years plus. Highly, highly recommended!! – especially if you bring Candace pretzels.

I seldom take time out of my busy day to write a review but today I feel compelled to share the way this dentist office handles their business. They treat you like a number not like a patient and here is why: I called and set up an appointment a week ago for today, Feb 19^th at 2:00 pm. I walk into the office ready for my appointment and I’m told that my appointment was given to someone else because I did not answer their confirmation call. Wow! What a selfish way to do business and what a lack of respect to someone that took the time to call, set up an appointment and took off work to show up. When I confronted the girl at the desk all she had to say was that she’s sorry but that’s their policy. What a bunch of clowns for coming up with a stupid policy like that. What if the patient called from a work number or maybe didn’t have service or perhaps was too busy to answer or listen to their voice mails. All they care about is having their time slots full not about the patient, they don’t care if the patient shows up or what that person had to go through to make it to their appointment. Honestly, they have no consideration for people all they care about is money and that is not the type of dentist I want to have. I walked right out of their office because of how disgusted I felt about their business. If you have a choice do not go to this dentist, I didn’t have to have a service done to realize that they do not care about their patients in this place. Their are plenty of other GOOD dental offices in the Plantation and Sunrise area so do yourself a favor and look for someone else.

This clinic is a rip off ! The first time I went to this dentist for my cleansing. They took x-​ray of my teeth so they came up with an estimate totals. I asked the front desk personal are you sure my insurance will cover these amounts of money when I get it done here. They said to me absolutely your insurance will cover it. I had been there for 4 different appointments and I payed full mounts every time I visited the clinic. After everything is done a month later, they sent me an invoice that I have pay an extra $ 200 out of my own packet. I already have payed more than $ 800 thus my insurance coverage. Then I called up my insurance company. Insurance company told me my dentist should not have worked on your teeth before calling us to confirm the eligible coverage. «I am sorry that your dentist have done this to you «. This is a scam clinic for sure !

If you live around the Plantation/​Sunrise area and are in need of a dentist… I highly recommend Dr. Ongley. Staff is so friendly here, she is so nice, they treat you like family. I love their reminder services. They always have a smile on their faces and they are opened late during the week. They do not open during the weekend though.
