I purchased ½ pallette of sod and 4yards of topsoil. I received 4yards+ of construction debris and fill dirt! There were pieces of metal & glass, plastic, rubber, screws, bottle caps, ROCKSANDTONSOFROCKS of all sizes. The day of delivery, I called Frank Fanucci, the owner/manager. I complained about the amount and size of the rocks, I told him topsoil is supossed to be very dark in color almost black, not grey and sandy. It should not be littered with rocks and debris. He said he doubts it’s full of debris and rocks the size I’m claiming. He assured me it was supossed to be that way, «maybe the siffter had a hole and a few rocks got thru, just take them out» he said. I shouldn’t have to rake anything out of topsoil. Half pallette of sod is dead because I used this material! When attempting to contact Frank, he would dodge my calls. Answering the phone and saying«I’m not Frank.» Buyers stay clear of nuturf sunrise. Especially if you are a woman! Spend your money somewhere else!

The sod at Nu-Turf, in comparison to Home Depot, is half the price and twice the quality. The sod at Nu-Turf, in comparison to the Flamingo Road Nursery, is cheaper and still better quality. If you’re going to get sod, get it here. The grass is greener. If you’re looking for other gardening products, consider sticking with Home Depot. Nu-Turf can be a little expensive for non-sod items. Oh, also, you should call ahead. They get a lot of orders and sometimes run out of sod later in the day. So just call to be sure that they’ll have what you need.
