Just ate here tonight with my boyfriend & the food was AMAZING ! 5 stars … on the other hand service was so bad we will NEVER be back. Host was super super friendly Maria L was our server and she took 10 minutes to bring us a margarita the size of the palm of my hand it was sitting at the bar in those 10 minutes the bartender took 30 seconds to make it. Then we ate the chips and salsa so we piled the dishes at the end of the table … she never took away the empty plates. then finally our food came and I got chicken plantains rice and beans he got a quesadilla, very good but the dishes were still here and our server wasnt. My boyfriends drink was empty for quite a while … Finally I waved her down to get another drink, hotsauce, move the plates away, get more chips& salsa … it was a wreck. THEN he found a fly in his drink… at this point we wanted to just leave but my boyfriend wanted dessert before we can even ask she dropped the check off … I said ‚” EXCUSEMEWEWANTDESSERTYOUGUYSDON’T CLOSEFORANOTHERTWOHOURS” so she rang in fried ice cream while huffing and puffing and giving us attitude … I asked for the bill because I was embarrased to ask for anything else … I work at a resturaunt so I know how it is but we were the only table in the bar area it was 2 people c’mon retrain or don’t work there if you’re misrable … Looked on Unilocal for a place to eat out and I loved the food but had a bad night due to stressing over the service … won’t be back again. Fire Maria L … still tipped her 7 $ on a 50 which was nice I think

Olé olé is a good restaurant. It’s reliable and always there, like an old friend. Eventually you get comfortable with it. The service is always good, I have come here many a times and I think I only had one very minor issue. The food is tex mex and not authentic mexican. Keep that in mind and you will be golden. I had mixed feelings about the bar, until my last visit. Evidently they improved it because we ordered their«Perfect Margarita» and it was great! You can not go wrong with the Fajitas or the Tacos Al Carbon, which is probably the most authentic dish there. Complimentary chips and salsa are also good. Salsa is not spicy but you can order spicer salsa.

This is our favorite Mexican Restaurant, they have the best Margaritas in town, the food is great, and the service is excellent specially at the bar with Santos the bartender. Great place to bring your family.

Hectic and long stressful days just endured; I said what is close at that moment? Literally pulled up Unilocal and saw Happy Hour 11:30 am — 6:30 pm, including everything from the bar! Popped up at Olé Olé! I threw caution to the wind and brain said GO! Lol! Woohoo! Ok place had people in it, good sign as I’d been here before and honestly not that crazy about it. Who cares when all drinks are ½price! I sound awful! Dany came to the table and spoke so fast I went please Cosmo with Absolute please! And water and lemon. Of course Hubby was with and asked for a rock glass of Absolute Vodka and tonic. Great drinks! Fresh chips and good salsa for free were placed on the table. I was starving! I asked for Queso and he never put the order in. I really wanted that… This is when it gets a bit sideways. I ordered chicken taquitos. Menu said guac, sour cream and tomatoes came with them; as well as rice and beans. Hubby ordered a Cuban meal. Many Mexican restaurants are usually a bit of both here. Drives me crazy, but ok. Lechon, roasted pork with rice and black beans came with his meal. I tasted the black beans and nothing special. Could have been out of a can. Pollo Tropical beans are better. Food is delivered hit and run style. I’m looking at my plate. There was enchilada [I think] sauce on the taquitos. Clearly a uh-oh. Hubby food was perfect. I think it was about 10mins at least to get Dany’s attention. I told him why my perplexed look. He tried to reassure me they came with sauce. He said would you like to see the menu and see? Of course I did. He left again and came back, I showed him what I ordered and no where was the sauce listed. He looks irritated. You can only imagine how I am, Hubby is half done! I said please take this and may I please have the Wild Tostada with shredded beef. This came and looked great! It was funny because he had another server bring it. Honestly the taste of the food was meh, we have had better. My Hubby was saying the drinks tasted watered down and was getting frustrated. All I know is my Cosmo was awesome! I thought! Then I gagged! I hardly ever partake anymore, but do have a refined palette. The 1st Cosmo delivered had gasoline vodka in it. You know that taste of metal you get when liquor is awful, yes that one. I asked for the drink to be remade and bam Absolute found the glass. Hubby was not happy with his drinks at all. There are TVs’ strategically placed around with sports on. The restaurant was clean and I could see the open kitchen. It too was clean. Bathroom was nice and tidy. Pros: great happy hour! Fresh chips and salsa-Free Food was okay Attempt to deliver ordered food & drinks Delivered drinks without asking! 241 Cons: Cosmo with subpar liquor Possible Watered down liquor Hit and Run service Lack of communication No Manager Visit Reception can barely speak English Dany lacked English comprehension Food was as not menu said No prices on menu for bar Didn’t place order for Queso Will we go back? Probably just for the awesome Happy Hour and be sure your drink order is clearly understood. We will sit closer to the bar area for sure. Food I highly doubt it. If I order a Cosmo I have had it! Wine is a delicious liquid to be slowly admired and appreciated. The wine they had was not this type. This restaurant is close to a mall and I bet it stays alive because of it.

Seated with speed, waitress friendly and courteous, food finally arrived… my fish tacos so overcooked I initially mistook them for for beef Partner ordered a hard taco, so overdone it contained ash… words fail me

Freshest salsa in town… I have been coming here for over 30 years… are great for a family dinner for birthdays since our family is large and they can handle the crowd. Must try the tuna dip! My usual is the burrito grande with shredded beef and I love their nachos, which come with the ingredients in each individual chip so every bite is wonderful.

We ate here for an early dinner and unfortunately it was just OK. I went in with high expectations and fairly let down. We were able to get seats immediately and a young man brought us chips and salsa. The salsa was fantastic, some of the best I’ve had! It took several minutes for our server to come over and several more to get water. I asked if I could get a jalapeño margarita, I’m on a kick for these right now, and was told no. I settled for a red sangria. The glass was tiny but the bananas were a nice touch. For dinner I asked about a few different things and our server hadn’t tried any of the items I questioned. I opted for the chicken fajitas. They were mediocre. The chicken was dry and rubbery, little to no flavor. My friend got something from the Cuban section of the menu and was very pleased. I won’t rule this place out for a return visit, but I won’t be getting the fajitas again.

Love it !! We live in North Broward, but make the trip to Olé Olé any time we can. We have NEVER had a bad meal here, it is a local gem. The staff is friendly, service is attentive, and they make all the«normal» Mexican menu items, but do a particularly good job of serving up tasty, fresh food. Favorites are the crab nachos(real crab !), fajitas and chimichangas, but the whole menu is good. When we bring friends here for their first trip, everyone is happy. They have been at this location for many years, have a loyal local following. Nothing gimmicky, just really good Mexican food.

Very fun upbeat atmosphere and Very good house margaritas! We came for cinco de mayo and it was a lot of fun. They had mariachi and balloon makers, deals, and they were selling bar items outside too. The food was not authentic Mexican, and overall very bland. I don’t know that we would be back to eat ever again. Maybe just for drinks and chips and salsa… but eating the food is a waste of money and expectation.

For a quick Mexican fix this restaurant is OK in my book. We popped in for Cinco de Mayo early to get our Mexican on. Since we arrived early we were seated immediately, no wait, yay! Within ten minutes the restaurant was full. The inside décor is bright with a Mexican theme. They have a small bar in one room with a few lounge style long tables for larger groups. They have several rooms for dining with mainly booth seating, which I always prefer. Our waitress was great, she told us they were offering two for one margaritas. The margaritas were good. The chips and salsa were delicious. Thin fresh chips and the salsa had plenty onions, cilantro and some lovely spices. Just enough of a bite without being to spicy to eat. We ordered some guacamole and it was excellent. Freshly prepared and tasty. This particular day they had a live Mariachi band playing throughout the restaurant. They were fantastic. Not sure if they offer this on the weekend perhaps but we really enjoyed them. I tipped them very well when we left. My entrée I ordered steak fajitas which did not come with rice or beans which was fine I just thought that was a bit odd. Everything from the tortilla’s to the fajitas themselves were good. Next time I would make sure to tell them to undercook the steak more of a medium rare. The steak was over done which made it tough. The steak quality and the flavor was fine just over cooked IMO. Fun atmosphere, good service, nice happy hour daily, and reasonable prices for good casual Mexican food. I would check them out again.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for many years now and I always get the same thing, the steak fajita. I occasionally wander to the different dishes on the menu, but I’m not a fan of anything else. The fajita comes out sizzling, with onions, peppers and your choice of meat. I usually get the steak because the chicken is too dry for my liking. The salsa here is absolutely amazing!!! I definitely come here for the salsa. It is very fresh, with chunks of tomato, instead of that gross and mushy out-of-the-jar salsa that you may get at other restaurants.

I’ve actually visited this location twice now. Though, the service is good and there seems to be a steady flow of business, thanks to it’s shopping mall location… the food is convenience grade, and def not worth traveling for. That said, if you’re looking for Mexican… and you’re in the area, it’s actually the safer choice than most. So, I say give it a try… if you’re REALLY diggin’ Mexican(w/Margarita specials) in Plantation.

After numerous heated discussions about this place, I finally got the chance to go back. I am pretty sure the last time I checked it out, I was in high school! Someone kept telling me it was awful and I would hate it. Based on other reviews and the pictures I knew that statement was false. Driving home yesterday(Cinco de Mayo), I obviously had a taste for Mexican, but didn’t want to go somewhere we knew would be crowded. I chose here, because it was the perfect opportunity to prove that person wrong! We parked, walked in and were seated immediately in a booth by the bar. This was around 4:30 and it was picking up! Our waitress greeted us and I ordered 2 margaritas from their Cinco de Mayo special($ 5 house margs). She informed me they were also 2−4−1!!! WOOOOOOOHHHHH Chips and salsa arrived and I dug in. The salsa was really good, but had a little too much cilantro for me. I wanted to order their queso but was informed it was with yellow cheese, so we settled for a small guacamole. OMG we barely had enough, it was soo good and fresh! It had large chunks of avocado. It even had tomatoes and onions, which I normally hate, but it was delicious. For our entrees: I got the Burro Grande: shredded beef burrito filled with rice, beans, tomatoes, topped with burrito sauce, sour cream, and guac! oh my gosh, this was so good and so giant! GRANDE for sure!!! I was so hungry, I hate the whole thing – dont judge me. It also came with a side of rice and beans. Their beans were good, rice was just okay. Mom got the Steak Fajitas: they looked good on their skillet, with veggies, came with tortillas, sour cream, cheese, guac, and tomatoes. I was a little disappointed with this because for an entrée, it should come with rice and beans… it didn’t. The steak was also tough and dry. Wouldn’t order these again. Our waitress was very attentive given the amount of people that came in after we got seated. We never had to ask for refills of water OR margaritas. They even gave us more chips and salsa. Bathrooms are decently clean. They had an amazing Mariachi band playing!!! 2−41− happy hour everyday! Will definitely be back! Would even be good for takeout. Only a little disappointed they don’t have tamales :( Anyways, love me some greasy Mexican food and this is it!!!

Casual Mexican restaurant next to Broward mall, the food was okay– nothing spectacular. We ordered the fajitas meal for two: we each got a plate with toppings(guacamole, lettuce, sour cream, cheese, tomatoes) and a sizzling plate of steak and chicken. The toppings came in a smaller than usual plate. It also came with only one plate of rice and beans, which is kind of odd for a meal for two. I’m used to big portions such as when I go to Azteca in Orlando– that was my favorite Mexican place. Azteca’s plates were always full and loaded(though I noticed the quality down south doesn’t quite level with the ones in Orlando). The food at Olé Olé didn’t seem to be authentic and it seemed kind of bland. I did like the steak in our fajitas, but the chicken seemed dry. On a better note, our server was excellent.

This was a nice sit down restaurant right off the Broward mall. They bring fresh chips and salsa. My man ordered the burrito and I ordered the steak fajitas. The service was good, they served chips and salsa while waiting. It seems most places these days charge for chips and salsa. The food didn’t take long to come out. The Shredded Beef Burro Grande was huge, topped with sour cream and guacamole, and came with Refried beans and rice with shredded cheese all over. The fajitas were a winner to me. Comes sizzling hot with sautéed onions and peppers, the steak had a good flavour to it. 3 large tortilla wraps. The guacamole was good and came with salsa verde, sour cream, and shredded cheese too. The bill took awhile to come, the waitress was busy. Overall a good experience and meal. I would come here again.
