Super cute spot in Plattsburgh that served very good(strong) coffee and decent baked goods. Great atmosphere and service in a super cosy spot with a lovely back patio. They also sell some homemade artisan and local products that I wish I tried. Most importantly, it’s a GREAT joint to stop for real coffee on the way from Montréal to NY that is not a fast food place on the highway.

I went to koffee kat with the hope that their bold replacement of «c“s with«k“s meant that their beverages would be out there, but in a good way. Kind of the way ke$ha or anyone who professes to be «krazy» is. Sadly, I was disappointed. The shop may have seen better days – half of the floor was missing, it was dark and chilly despite the pleasant summer sun outside, and paint was chipping off in various places. The barista was charming and friendly and offered up many milk options for our iced coffees; but no amount of almond, soy, skim, whole or half and half could mask the lackluster flavor of the coffee, which is both bitter and watery at the same time. Fwiw, my boyfriend disagrees and had a perfectly pleasant experience, and wants the public to know.

Coffee is expensive and sour. Line is often short, but service is slow. Starbucks is cheaper and better, for once…

Came only for a mocha. It tasted slightly burned, but that may be a regional difference. There was no decoration in the froth and all coffee drinks were served in styrofoam cups, but the back patio is fabulous. Had to ask to have the wifi re-started.

This place rocks! The prices are slightly higher than Starbucks but in my opinion, well worth the cost. Not only is the coffee delicious, you are the one getting to mix the variety of coffee flavors to your specifications. I can’t tell you how many times I ask the staff at Starbucks to leave room for my milk & I end up pouring out nearly a quarter cup of coffee because they didn’t listen to my request. The staff is super friendly. My only wish is that they opened at 7AM on Sunday as well. Keep up the great job.

Koffee Kat is an excellent little place to have a nice coffee, a smoothie and chill with a good book, play chess or just chat up good friends or make new ones. The staff is very friendly and the paint colors of the shop are very warm and inviting. They have this really cool alcove type spot out back which must be really cool to just sit in and sip your drink in the hot months… we sat out there yesterday… a little chilly but that’s okay. We also had this excellent carrot cake… we stayed until the evening and they had live music with open mic poetry. They get a crowd for these nights of 20 something’s. When I go back to Platsburgh I am definitely stopping here.

Cute coffee shop! The coffee was good but i loved the interior of the store more. It was full of unique pieces on the wall.

My favorite baristas are Jay and Patty. The shop has a great atmosphere and buzzes of all the great happenings of downtown Plattsburgh. The Koffee Kat has music on weekend which is a nice change of pace from the bar scene. The Kat is family friendly and open to everyone.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I stop at this café to grab a cup while heading home from Montréal. The coffee was good and strong. If you’re in Plattsburgh looking for a good cup of coffee this is your place. The pastries weren’t that good however.

We stopped in while driving to Montréal. Very Vermont vibe. They had the coolest, most amazing creative coffee drinks. However, they were so weak and watery we had to dump them after a few sips. Not good.

Oh, the memories of the«Mind Sweeper»…KK sustained me during my 5 years working in Plattsburgh. Still recall the former location further down Margaret St. Loved the bigger space when I passed through a number of years ago to a conference in Montréal. Great coffee, ambiance, art, and conversation!

Any place that lets me walk in, order non menu stuff and then play their funky striped outta tune piano is gonna get some love. They painted the wall in local arts and crafts, their coffee is tip top, and the choice of places to park your hind quarters is of excellent variety. I recently checked out their outdoor garage/fireplace/area during the week long mid march heat spell and it made for a very satisfying afternoon. ATM is on site in case you’re of the plastic generation. Every shot puller here is friendly and funny and willing to play around with the menu, should you ask. Good deal if you ask me.

This is the go-to cute and kitchy coffee place DT. They ONLYACCEPTCASH, so be prepared to pop to the ATM next door if needed. Here you will find free wifi, a hipster, casual and relaxing atmosphere(where you won’t be bothered if you nurse a coffee for 4 hours), and good coffee. Koffee Kat is super fun in that they are all about supporting local artistry. They feature local artists work in the café(jewelry, paintings, bags, etc) for sale, and also host local bands on the weekends. The food and coffee are well made and vegan, lactose intolerant and picky customer friendly. The staff is really sweet and easy going. I ask a lot of questions and have peculiar requests when ordering, and they are consistently accommodating. This is a great place to go to meet people, study or relax. The interior features bright and fun cats on the wall; with ample seating in the café, and a back patio area. You can feel good about supporting a local business, and enjoying yourself simultaneously.

This is a cute little coffee house in a perfect location. I enjoy stopping by here during the afternoon to get a great smoothie or hot cup of tea. There aren’t many really good coffee shops in town. And by good, I mean local and tasty. This beats Starbucks anyday! It’s nice that they also display and sell local artist work on the walls, as well as business cards and flyers on the corkboard.

Great coffee — I go for the café au lait almost every time. They steam the milk and let you add your own java from the daily selections. The décor is funky and fun. Lots of art work all over the place. This is a great place to hang out and chat with an old friend for hours. Free wi-fi! They could, however, do a little better job of keeping things cleaner. It’s a little dingy.

Quick Tip: they only take cash. This place fits right in with downtown Plattsburgh. They have a wonderful array of coffee and expresso. Vegan cookies and soy milk are available. They are extremely friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming along with the free wi-fi!

This is a cute coffee house that I did not expect to find in Plattsburgh. Their concoctions are pretty inventive and inexpensive. I had a chai latte and their espresso beans are above average for making a capp at home. They also showcase local artists with jewelry and artwork which I like, and they also have music nights not sure if that’s weekly or not.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this in Plattsburgh. It’s a friendly, colorful coffeehouse with cool seats, sidewalk tables and a fabulous little patio. I had a delicious French soda, while my mother had a cappucino and my brother had some vegan cookies. The selection of scones and drinks looked delightful and service was friendly. They also sell local art and have live music some nights. If I lived in town, I’d definitely be here all the time.
