Super pricey but they do have a good stock and the optometrists are thorough. They try to upsell you on several tests that are not covered by insurance though. Of course, more upselling on lens protection, tinting, glare coating, etc etc so that even with insurance you will pay a lot. Glasses take at least a week to get so if you are in a rush to have them you’d be better off at Lenscrafters. Staff is nice and very accomodating to appointment changes.

Del Rey Optometry continues to exceed my expectations. The staff is very professional and Lori always manages to find small frames for my not-​so-​easy to fit face. Dr. Lin is one of the most knowledgeable optometrists I have ever met. She is amazing at explaining things in very plain terms. No matter how complex something may be she explains it in a way that is very easy to understand. The best part is that she proactively explains things so I don’t even have to ask! I really appreciate that she takes her time to be sure I understand everything she is explaining and searches to find photos and images to illustrate what she is discussing. These folks are top notch. I recommend Del Rey Optometry without any reservation.

By far the best optometry office I’ve ever visited. They take the time to walk you through your eye tests and you walk away understanding your eyes. Everyone in the office is extremely polite and friendly. I will take a extra minute to give a special shout out to Deborah for being exceptional at helping me figure out my eyewear and needs that will help maintain my vision. I’m actually looking forward to next year already to get my eyes dilated (says no one) but when you have a friendly staff like them, you actually don’t mind the eye torture. I highly recommend this office if you need your eyes checked.

Wonderful experience! I went in to get my glasses repaired and the staff was so nice! Marisol fixed them in no time and was as sweet as can be! I would definitely recommend this place for any of your eye needs. The staff is amazing. Five stars all the way!

I can’t say enough positive things about this place. Everyone from the staff at the reception desk, to the doctors, to the contact lens assistants are fantastic! Dr. Pennino is so sweet. She’ll probably be the nicest lady you’ll ever meet. These people love what they do and will go out of their way to make sure you and your eyes are taken care of, and it shows in their friendly, smiling faces every time I have been there.

I rarely write reviews anymore, but my experience with Del Rey Optometry was so positive, it would be remiss of me if I did not show proper gratitude to this wonderful establishment.
About a month and a half ago, my favorite frames broke when my husband accidently sat on them. Straightaway, I started browsing online for a pair that would be comparable to the ones I just lost. That’s when I came across the German company called Mykita. I instantly fell in love with a pair from their Mylon collection called the «Mir.» I searched high and low, contacted numerous optometrists that were listed as local retailers of the brand, but all of them informed me they didn’t carry that collection and left it at that.
Here’s where the actual review starts. After contacting several optometrists by e-​mail, I receive a call from Marisol Perez of Del Rey Optometry. She notified me that though they didn’t carry that collection in store, she had several Mykita representatives she can contact to see what she can do about the frames. After several very informative and pleasant correspondences with Marisol, I receive the news that her representative found the exact frame I want and in the desired color in Germany. She said the line is on its way to being discontinued and that the pair were the LAST black pair in storage at a warehouse. Of course I placed the order straight away (though they were final sale).
I only waited about 2 full weeks before the frames and lenses were in and the glasses were ready for pick-​up. Note, I was given a 4 – 6 week turnaround initially.
Marisol kept me informed every step of the way and really went the extra mile to get me the glasses without a guarantee that I would even make the purchase. Her idea of customer service should really become industry standard. She’s won me as a fan, and I’ll definitely go back to her for any glasses needs in the future.

My husband and I went in to check out what kind of glasses they offer. The lady at the front told us she will be right with us and we let her know we are just looking at their glasses selection. She came to help us but seemed very stuck up and was not hyped that we were trying on glasses. She made us feel like we had to rush to select glasses. They have a good selection so why would we rush into choosing glasses? After a few minutes of standing by us and making us feel awkward she left to do something else and sent someone else to help us once we were done selecting glasses. We ended up not buying glasses here and will not return.

Amazingly nice people here and very service oriented. Shop is relatively simple but clean, tidy, and really everything you need from an optometrist.
Came in to fix sunglasses that suddenly broke, they fixed it and replaced a part that didn’t fit right any more. Then they made sure they fitted properly. For free.

Great staff, great doctors, great service — enough said!

The staff at Del Rey Optometry are great! Their staff is friendly and helpful. I was in and out of my exam with Janine, Dr. Lin answered all of my questions, and had a little bit of help from everyone in choosing my next pair of glasses. I definitely recommend them to my friends and family!

In an effort to find a new local eye doctor my husband and I tried this place out. Location is convenient for us and they have a free parking lot that is shared with a few other shops. The office is very clean and well decorated. They have a good selection of glasses as well. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and the doctor was great. I felt comfortable with her and she was able to answer all of my questions. Looks like I found my new eye doctor!

Friendly, honest service. The people there gave me great honest advice that ended up making them no money but left me better off. I would highly recommend this establishment. I will be back.

Amazing costumer service. Walked in randomly to repair a pair of sunglasses. It got done immediately on the spot by the most amazingly pleasant lady I have ever met. Highly recommended. If I need ANYTHING eye related from now on, I’m coming here.

My husband and I have been coming here for 5 years and I have referred many of my friends. However, I will not be returning and I suggest you also go somewhere else. Why?
California law requires contact lens prescription to be no less than 1 to 2 years, unless there are special health circumstances. The doctors here write the prescription to be valid for one year, even though my prescription is simple and I am in excellent health. I think it’s their way to make more money off you because you have to get an exam every year.
California law states that I can purchase contact lens if I have a valid prescription. My prescription expires on Nov 6 of this year. Today is Nov 4, but I was told that I am not allowed to purchase a year supply of contact lens because my prescription is «expiring» and that I should go in for an exam in order to get a new prescription so I can order a year supply of lenses. Is there even such thing as an «expiring» prescription? I think not. Again, I think it’s their way to make more money off you.
I took my «expiring» prescription to Costo and got a year supply for 50% of the cost I would have paid at Del Rey Optometry.

Despite my terrible vision, I’ve never stuck with an eye doctor year over year, usually choosing to go to Costco for ease. I’ve been wearing glasses since 1^st grade, so I’ve seen plenty of optometrists, but I’ve had the best experience so far with Dr. Lin.
Dr. Lin is incredibly smart, sharp, and thorough. She took the time to listen to my specific vision needs and problems, and tailored a solution based on my schedule and vision correction issues. I really appreciate doctors who take the time to explain why they’re doing things, rather than just throwing instructions/​prescriptions at me. It helps keep me informed about my eyes and what I should be careful of. I’m really happy with my overall experience with her and highly recommend her!

Great service!
My son had his glasses stepped on and went there to get them adjusted. Marisol Perez fixed them in just a few minutes and was super nice. Best of all — no charge! Great «old school» service. Everyone there was friendly and smiling. I will recommend them to all my friends — plus go there next time anyone in my family needs glasses!

Earlier this week I received a call from the proprietor, Dr.P.
She was genuinely concerned about all of the issues that I
experienced from my last visit. After interviewing her staff,
she acknowledged that the order process can be improved.
That was very encouraging news. Dr. P seems very earnest
in her desire to make Del Rey Optometry as competitive as
possible while maintaining its comfortable neighborhood feel.
Her sensitivity to clients is noteworthy … quite rare nowadays.
Dr.P made every effort to rectify mishaps that I’d experienced.

I have not even had my first eye exam yet and I am rating these guys 5-​stars!
Lori et al who helped me sort out my insurance over the past 2 days went well past what can be reasonably expected in terms of service.
Total contrast to the 3 optometrists I called prior hitting up Del Rey.

Del Rey Optometry has a much more personable feel and their customer service is great from the reception to the docs. When it comes to healthcare, dentistry, optometry, etc it’s important to me to not feel like I’m at a generic franchise type establishment. Here you feel comfortable and not like you’re at a fast food version of healthcare.
Dr Anna has always been pleasant and is very throughout. They’ve always fitted glasses perfectly even if I needed to come back for adjustments later as frames stretch all the time. They were even able to get me lenses for my $ 300+ Burberry sunglasses when I scratched them for a very reasonable price and were able to take back frames that didn’t fit me well.

I came to this place with an eye emergency that I had accidentally ripped off my eye skin taking my contact lenses off (I know ouch …) it was not my first eye emergency visit but the first time at this optometry. was seen by dr Lin and she was so patient and helpful and detailed on making sure that I know what is going on, to make sure that she has the right diagnosis and she made sure that I got my medication and did not pay over the price for them and she truly cared. Her personality is awesome and she is extremely professional and knowledgable.
I have had my share of doctor visits and they were supposed to be top of the line from doctors in Beverly Hills surgeons from Miami and offices all over the valley no one had ever cared as much as dr Lin … So ya I came back for contact lens renewal and she was still awesome and took her time with everything … :) she is the definition of what a doctor should be and she rocks .
Btw did I mention they carry salt glasses because I had a pair of salt sunglasses that no one could fix because of it’s missing part and since they carry them, they fixed it for me :)
