My grandparents’ house has a swimming pool. I don’t think they had swam a day in their lives before moving there, but it’s now a very important part of their lives. Swimming has given them both new leases on life. The entire family enjoys taking a dip whenever visiting. Unfortunately, last winter, while my grandparents were on an extended vacation, their previous pool service company just stopped showing up. When they returned home, to their dismay the swimming pool was in absolute shambles, not having been serviced in 5 months. The company explained over the phone that their bill hadn’t been paid in November so they halted service. There was no outstanding balance, and they did so without any actual notice(no letter, email, or voice mail). Absolutely unacceptable. I volunteered to help find a new service, refusing to let them go back to their previous one. I searched online, and found Empire Pools. After reading nothing but stellar reviews, I gave them a call. Explained the situation over the phone and they had a technician come out the very next day to assess the damage. He described absolutely everything we needed to repair/refurbish/replace, and which ones were time sensitive. He then gave me a detailed invoice with a guaranteed estimate. It wasn’t so much a bill as it was a plan or course of action to transform this pool from an eye sore to bit of paradise. I contacted their competitors, basically recited Empire’s invoice aloud, and no one came close enough to their estimate or timetable. I called Empire back that very day and requested they start immediately. The technician didn’t even mind when my grandfather and I tagged along during all of the repairs over time, even going out of his way to explain everything. What was so refreshing was the amount of technology they used, from the equipment to actually going as far as to take pictures and videos of their work for future reference. Absolutely terrific service, and these guys take pride in their work. It’s been about a year since my grandparents became clients of Empire, and this pool looks like it should be in a magazine. The water is absolutely pristine. The swimming pool itself has been absolutely revived. There’s even a smartphone app my grandparents use to actually control the temperature of their pool… it’s like swimming in the future, minus a Hot Tub Time Machine. If you live in their service area, you would be foolish to hire anybody else.
