Went out for a motorcycle ride on a Saturday. Ended up changing the route because of road work so we found this place. We initially blew by it because it was so small. Turned around and had a great meal. Large portions. I had the ham sandwich. There’s about 3 tables so don’t plan on eating inside unless you luck in to a table. We would eat there again but probably wouldn’t go out of our way for it.

We love this joint. The exterior is misleading and we found out about it from a neighbor. Inside the owners are talented pit masters who serve up delicious ribs, burnt ends, beans, slaw etc. Their sauce is awesome too! 3 meals set us back $ 25 and we had leftovers for later. Check this place out — worth the 15 min drive from our side of LS.

Clean, family business with excellent BBQ. We especially love the brisket and homemade boudin sausage. I’m surprised about the review describing fatty meat because I’ve never had this experience. Recommend calling ahead so order is ready when you get there. They have a couple of tables where you can eat but it’s a carryout place. The owners are super nice and we’ve been stopping here for several years and have always been satisfied.

From the moment you get to the parking lot, you smell the wonders Mama G and Ray are working with! We stumbled upon the place almost by accident and have returned once a week ever since. The pulled pork is well seasoned, moist and the home bbq sauce… Slap yo’mama!!! Sooooo good! Their brisket is also a family favorite. The homemade Louisiana sausage is just fantastic! A little on the spicy side(but if you like a nice little kick, that’s a must try)! Oh! And the baked beans… um-um-ummm!!! All in all, the service is personal, warm and welcoming, where the owners– given the chance– will sit and chat with you. The food is terrific! Well worth the drive.

This is the worst BBQ restaurant I’ve ever been too! First time I ate there, I placed a pick-up order. Burnt ends, and cole slaw. As soon as I walked in to pick up the order, the first thing I see is some guy pulling bags of frozen meat out of the freezer, and putting it into the microwave. A great Kansas City BBQ restaurant would NEVER freeze meat. That’s how you get dry food !!! I reluctantly paid for the food, brought it out to my car. Opened it up and the portions where small, the meat was dry as could be. And the cole slaw looked like it had been in a food processor. The meat was room temp, and fatty. And the cole slaw was warm. If I wanted microwaved food, I would have stayed at home.

A great spot along 291 between Harrisonville and Raymore… I went there on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30, only customer there. The owners were very friendly and explained their food in good detail. We got several sandwiches and shared/sampled them all. The sausage was awesome. The burnt ends were alittle dry. The combo sandwich of brisket and ham was huge… and very good. We also got some of their smoked bacon which we fried up for breakfast one morning and it was delicious and nicely thick cut. The boudin was a mother’s recipe from Louisiana, we smoked it and it was very good as well. I would recommend this little joint.
