Sunshine Spa

As a regular of a couple bay area hot tub spas, I can say I’ve seen a full slew of cleanliness for spas. This place is at the bottom of the list, far below the second dirtiest place I’ve visited. This place is growing black mold on the ceiling tiles and the lack of ventilation was disgusting. The health department may need to check on this place.
I don’t think you should be surprised that the highest review of this place mentions no condom wrappers. That’s the bar this place sets.
Remember that scene in the movie SE7EN, when they find that hooker dead in the nasty hotel? Yeah. could have been filmed here.
I admit I made the mistake of paying for two before seeing the tub room. I’m especially pissed because they did not refund the payment after being in the tub for 5 minutes.
If you are looking for relaxation, this is not the place.

I really have no reason to rate this spa under 5 stars. This was my first time going to a massage parlor/​spa so I was nervous. I bought the hour full body massage which comes with 30 minutes of hot tub usage. I didn’t see any condom wrappers and there were no inappropriate services like others suggested (not saying they’re wrong, I’m just speaking from my experience). The spa was very clean as well as the massage table. The employee I met did have broken English, but she and I were able to communicate effectively. The only thing I don’t like is that they open at 10am; I wish they opened sooner. I’ll definitely be going back.

This is a whore house running under the guise of a massage parlor. Just after my massage I went into the hot tub to relax and about 10 minutes in a could hear my masseuse being screwed in the room 2 doors down from mine. I ran out of there and took the hottest shower of my life. I cannot imagine the crap that’s in the water. Called the police and they said they have had complaints but no leads. Wow! What does it take? I’m sure all nice compliments about how nice and caring the girls were are from all the johns that have been getting happy endings.

Great place to go and relax and get restored to new! The staff is caring, friendly and do all they can to make you comfortable and relaxed. Facility was very clean and the free hot-​tub with massage is a perfect way to restore your body and mind! Parking is easy, rates are great and service is top notch! Much better than the other spa’s in the area. Ask for yo-​yo (pronounced you-​you) and prepare to be pampered!

The place is incredible nice !! Every room are clean and air flow feel really comfortable when you walk in. The new manager is very friendly. every masseuses are professional they all speak good English, I was asked Yoyo for me she understands the body and does an amazing deep tissue massage I also love the hot tub I will come aging.

For $ 20 per person for one hour in a hot tub, you’d think they’d care enough to clean up the rooms between guests. No, they do not care — and they definitely do not clean.
It was really relaxing to sit in the tub, even after we saw the used condom wrapper next to us on the floor. Whatever — that didn’t bother me as much as thinking that if they aren’t even picking up the trash, they probably aren’t mopping the floors. There is a big hose in the room to spray them down. Guess they skip this step. Water germs don’t scare me — I swim in the Delta. And while I doubt there is much you can contract from the spa water itself, I don’t want to go home with some foot fungus. And stuff like Athlete’s Foot IS very contagious! Don’t be lazy bitches! Do your job and clean up — I know there has to be some sort of health regulation for places like this; and they are definitely in violation of it.
I have wanted to check out Sunshine Spa for a long time and I have several friends that enjoy going, but it’s pretty f*cking pathetic that when four people are sitting in a spa for one hour, the place can make $ 80 and not take the time to clean up before the next group goes in.
Also, the sign on your wall says spa capacity is TWO. Either follow your own safety rules or change your wall sign. Your spa is ridiculous.

The person that answers the phone and takes your appointment speaks very clear English, but once I arrived it seemed like they had no idea who I was. I said I had an appointment but the lady at the desk did not understand me. I was quoted a special price of $ 35 for 1 hour full body massage on the phone but was charged $ 60. I tried to explain this to the lady at the desk but she did not understand any English. She just kept repeating that I get a free 30 minute spa after the massage.
So she takes me to a room, there is a spa in there but it is covered with painted plywood. I guess it is out of service. I was not planning on getting in the spa anyway but I thought that might be what I was being overcharged for, and now they put me in a room with not spa. I was the only one in the place. I saw two other rooms that were opened that had spas in them that seemed perfectly fine.
The massage was painful at times ok at other times. The massage therapist did not speak any English either. At the end end of the massage he wanted me to walk across the hall to a working spa with a towel wrapped around my waist. Uh, no thanks, I’m done…
I will not be back.

Nasty. The hot tubs need extra chlorine and disinfection. I know people that go here to have sex in the hot tubs… steer clear…

I have been a customer for the past three years and am very satisfied with their service. Relax in a hot tub and then get a one hour massage after you are warmed up is very nice. New remodeled rooms that are very warm and comfortable. I have not had any problems here and have seen several different massage therapists over the past 3 years. Professional staff who care about their client’s needs.

This place is disgusting, and dirty. I would never go here for a massage or to use the hot tub.
