Was our first time there last night and I have to say I think this is our new fav place! Food was sooooo good! I had the woods chicken salad and it was refreshing and filling! My gf had the salmon and it was also great! The clam chowder soup is ah-mazing! Rich and thick how it should be! If you haven’t been here I suggest you try it!

Kourtney with a K. The best bartender this joint could ask for. She remembers me and my sweetheart if we are her together or solo. A reason we return. A star amoung all stars.

My boyfriend and I had a late dinner today and it was a quiet night for a Sunday. We were seated promptly and given a good amount of time to look over the menu. It was our first time at this location. I ordered the Whiskey Peppercorn Sirloin along with Mountain mashers and green beans. The Sirloin was cooked just as I ordered well done. I was craving mashers and they were perfect with their amazing gravy. My boyfriend ordered the NY Steak and some good spicy chicken wings. The steak was delicious and very tender. Bryan was our server and he was great and very attentive. He made sure our meal was perfect which we appreciated. We will be back and I recommend this place for some good comfort food.

On May 25th, My husband and I went to this location for the first time. It was our anniversary, we worked a long hard day and were exhausted but wanted to treat ourselves to a nice steak dinner. We ended up having one of the best meals in a long LONG time. The Man ordered a rib-eye, baked potato and green beans. He LOVED every part. He said the potato was cooked perfectly, not over done, dry, or under cooked. And he loved the rib-eye. I ordered the sirloin, potato and green beans also, and had a salad. Both our steaks were cooked exactly as requested and were juicy and tender. I also had sides of carmalized onions and mushrooms… oh god… so good. I also ordered a Silver Margarita. It was the BEST. A nice solid drink. Not watered down.(I hate that). But one of the things that made the meal so great was the SUPERB service we received from our female server named Alex. She was so great. Personable, informative, knowledgeable about the menu and details about steak cuts. We observed her answering questions at another table and she was so patient and offered good explanations of the differences between one type of cut and another. After a very stressful week, and long exhausting day… we ended leaving feeling CHILL. I don’t know how else to describe it. We don’t use that word often, it just fit our mood as we floated on out of there. Nice night out.

I absolutely hate to slam a place but I am hoping this can be accepted by management as constructive criticism: the food is bordering on unpalatable. I have ordered seared ahi tuna as an appetizer no less than 100 times and at least two dozen at beef-centric locales. Refer to my photo to understand my consternation with the product at Tahoe Joe’s. Steak houses quite often offer seared ahi as it’s tends to please a wide swath of people and it is a dish without complications. What were were served was shameful. The remainder of our meal was served at a Temperature that exceeded lukewarm by no more than a couple of degrees. I found all this especially troubling because the place was nearly empty. I just moved three blocks away… sigh…

Came here for my birthday after work service was awful… Bartender was so confused that I was calling her for service she really didn’t follow up with me even though I was ordering dinner she was clueless… So I mentioned I wanted drinks she forgot about the drinks and never followed up… so I just went with Flo she was on… just here waiting for food… keep you posted.

I gave the food a 4 star but the place needs to be deep clean. The place is just plain dirty so I give it a zero! The waiters/waitresses are awesome ! The bartender very sweet! So please get your act together and clean this place up! Hate to see it close down just because it’s dirty !

Had the chicken pot pie soup and it was delicous. Sat outside because they allow dogs and the weather was great. ONLYCOMPLAINT — they had a gardener doing his work during the lunch hour. SO absolutely unnecessary! Make sure you check before you go if it is gardening day. He had earplugs but we had to yell to hear each other!!! The company that does the work should know not to have it done during the lunch hour, especially when people are sitting outside. I will still go but hope the management tells them not to come at lunch time.

If I could give 0 stars that would be more accurate for this abortion of a restaurant –went here with my grandma and mom for Mother’s Day lunch(per my grandmas request) Never in my life have I been served such tasteless, cold, and preserved food. The clam chowder I ordered was hardening before my eyes –no servers checked on us to see how we were doing or refill coffee and water– btw how do you make a cold cup of coffee without ice– my waitress could tell you … If she ever stopped by the table… Tahoe joes mastered the art of what Americans will waste their money on –in an east bay full of amazing food and fabulous restaurant culture why on earth would anyone set foot here? I know I was dragged here in the name of Mother’s Day — so to all the mothers out there– nothing says I love you mom then eating the worst food in a tacky restaurant !!!

Randomly remembered smelling this place the other day when we stopped at plato’s closet next door and decided to come dinner on a Monday night. The place is about half full, cute log cabin design. We were seated immediately and our server came by quickly as well. Overall the service during our visit was great. Regret not remembering our servers name. We started with the sourdough rolls(yum.) and a couple drinks. He got a Newcastle but I tried the mixed berry lemonade. It was delicious and came in a mason jar. We got the artichoke spinach dip as an app and it was the cheesiest dip we ever had, and we make it a point to try the artichoke dip anywhere that offers it. This was top 2. Super cheesy, huge chunks of artichoke, and the salsa that came on the side was also delish. For entrees I ordered the joes style chicken and ribs combo with a baked potato(loaded at the table with your choice of toppings) and the soup du jour which was cheesy potato. I know. That’s a lot of potato. But it was all fantastic! To be honest my soup and the ribs weren’t hot when they came to the table but everything was so delicious that I’m overlooking that. BF got the blackened salmon with a baked potato and mixed veggies. He was a very happy camper and«felt very strongly» about the salmon(his words!) Overall, super happy with this find!

This place is very cabin like. The décor is nice and the lights are dimmed for dinner. Service was nice and the cook was very pleasant when he served our plates. The food was just ok. The pasta had barely any taste to it. In general chillies is a lot better for the price. Unfortunately the grilled chicken was not as «grilled» as I thought it would be considering it’s a BBQ place. Besides that, it is a bit too expensive for the quality they serve.

We have had decent meals here four other times– we live less than a mile from here and switch it up between outback and this place. After the experience on Friday night we won’t return. I ordered joes steak and she ordered steak sandwich. The food looked good delivered to the table. When I put the steak in my mouth all I could taste was fat and gristle. Once the woman took my food back/she started to bite her steak sandwich and it was just fat. She sent it back– the manager comes over and apologies and says their beef has been not so good lately. Won’t return

A solid 3-star corp. food joint. I had the steam and lobster, and while the steak with a-ok, the lobster was suuuuuper tiny. Service was decent. Our food came out hot, and in a timely manner. A little overpriced for what it is however. You can easily spend $ 100 for two if a good steak is what you’re into.

We came back here because it was my nine year olds choice. He was having some surgery the next morning so he got to pick the place. We were seated right away and have a really great waiter. Food came out in a reasonable time. All great right… But then the food came and we all started eating. Until my daughter freaks out because she had a dead fly I’m her macaroni. We call the waiter over and show him. He was so embarrassed and apologies over and over. Now we kinda all lost our appetite and was digging in our food to check for any flies or bugs. Needless to say we all are less then half of our meals. The manager did stop by our table and apologized. And said he would remove the macaroni from our bill. I sure would hope so since my daughter only took two bites. The manager offered to replace it but my daughter refused. She was not hungry after that incident. The manager was nice and the waiter. But it ruined our night and experience.

My go-to restaurant when we’re in Concord! The service is great, the food is delicious & nice size portions, my steak always comes out how it should. The rolls are yummy! We always ask for more! The kids’ menu is great portions too. The baked potato is heaven here, have had or asked for baked potato elsewhere & I wish Tahoe Joe’s gave them the recipe for theirs . Strawberry Lemonade in a mason jar, so much better here as well.

One of my favorite spots for a happy hour bites. The drinks are yum too, but I stay for the food. The price is much smaller than the quality and quantity of the food offered during this time. FYI on Sunday happy hour is all day long(turn down for what). The regular menu has some delicious options as well. I am a big fan of the sides available with the meal. Especially the baked potato or the mashed potatoes.

My first week had been filled with a lot of eating, my favorite hobby. My boss wanted to make sure that I knew his company inside and out. So each day different department heads would take me out for lunch. 2016 has, so far, been good to me. Ambiance: I have no idea if Tahoe Joe’s is a chain restaurant. I had never heard of it before. It gave a vibe of one. The menu is a little generic. Like most places that are new to me, I asked what they specialized in(or what is the most popular of they get snarky and say everything is good). Here it is fried shrimp. Food: I ordered the fried shrimp appetizer. 10 pieces of shrimp on a bed of shredded lettuce salad. The salad and shrimp was dressed in a type of soy dressing. For tempura like batter… it was a bit heavy on the coating. I almost want to say it was frozen. Service: Very good service. Food came out fast and drinks were refilled in a timely manner.

This place has intrigued us for years and we finally broke down and tried them for lunch. Interior of restaurant resembles a log cabin, spacious with lots of booths. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. It was a calamari steak breaded in panko crumbs. It was crispy, buttery and came with capers. The steak was tender melt in your mouth goodness. I had buffalo wings for lunch. The wings were crispy but only 7 for 10.99 left us wondering who ate my other wings. Service is good and price is fair.

This place has intrigued us for quite some time, mostly due to the décor. Decided to go for lunch. Inside the place is spacious, you walk through«Lake Tahoe»(painted on the floor). There are many booths and tables and a nice bar. The atmosphere feels like you are in a ginormous log cabin. We ordered the calamari to start. This isn’t your typical fried calamari rings. This is a whole steak, encrusted with macadamia nuts, pan fried with lemon and a few capers. Delish! Just wish there were more capers. I ordered the unlimited soup and salad. You get a choice of 2 scratch made soups and a couple different salads. The crust less chicken pot pie soup was outstanding, and my salad was good, with a citrusy vinaigrette and Gorgonzola. I could have included raises and candied walnuts but they are not for me. We’ll be back, when we are feeling outdoorsy!

Haven’t been here in years because I thought I hated it, but my taste buds must have changed ! Ordered a cup of clam chowder and it was the perfect amount & tasty. For dinner I ordered the steak salad but with no tomatoes and add avocado. I think the avocado is very crucial. The salad was soooo good I ate way more than I planned. The steak was good also my boyfriend ate most of mine lol. Boyfriend ordered the two steaks wrapped in bacon with side of baked potato and a side Caesar salad and he really enjoyed his food. I’m not always in the mood for meat so this salad was perfect and next time I might just omit the steak itself. Anyways, I think we would definitely come back again. Oh, and service was also really good too :)
