This is a nice welcome center into NC. When you come in from the car side, the welcome and information center are in the building on the left while the restrooms are in the building to the right. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. The welcome center is nice and the staff are quick to help answer any questions and give you maps and such. They have a good layout with information broken into sections. One section is for the beaches while another one is for the mountains and so forth. On the grounds of this welcome center, they have an art of transportation which is near to see(photo included). Overall, this is a very nice rest area to stop at along your travels.

This is a large rest area/information center on I-95 southbound. Separate parking areas for cars and trucks. The rest area, bathrooms, picnic area, dog area etc are open 24 hours. The information center is currently open 8 — 5 every day. The only food and drinks are via vending machines. The bathrooms are invariably clean, well lit, and climate controlled. There is a TV in the rest room area that is tuned to The Weather Channel. The grounds give a wide area to walk, stretch, and stop and picnic if desired. There is a pet area for those traveling with their animals. Trash cans and recycling bins are provided. The information center covers all the different regions of North Carolina. They give out free, state issued road maps and other travel information. Always a good place to stop and take a short break.
