Came here to get a unique part I was missing — SATA to PCIE/graphics card adapter. The guy knew what I needed and I was out the door in a few minutes — quick and easy. While I was there, I admired the large selection of products and decent prices, and I’ll definitely be back if I need any computer parts!

Spent several hours online researching external hard drives and USB3.0 /Thunderbolt Hubs this morning. Had all the items in my Amazon cart ready to buy when I got home after doing a BevMo run next door. Decided to stop in and see if I could satisfy my immediate needs at a reasonable price and find what I’d narrowed my lengthily research down to. The young gents working were all courteous and eager to help. I immediately found 2 of the exact items I was looking for and they helped me choose the last. The prices were the same or a couple dollars more than Amazon. Certainly worth not having to wait and more importantly, good to support local businesses. It makes me think I need to get out and do this more often, especially with the more technical stuff I end up vesting so much personal research into. They are experts and have already done the searching for me. They don’t need 50 external hard drives. They literally carried only two and they were my number 1 and number 2 choices after sifting through probably 50 competitors in Amazon. I never understood what Radio Shack’s niche was but I think this store nailed down what they were shooting for. Not as many items as Fry’s clearly, but this is a good thing and for standard cords, they are well stocked and you’ll find what you need without the shady salesmanship from Frys with almost too much to take in at times. Pick out the best items for me and stock them. That is what I like about this place. Nice job guys!

My cousin wanted to get a computer so I helped him pick out parts online, but wanted to see if there were any parts stores in the area instead, because I like talking to someone about parts instead of just guessing online, and my friend suggested this place, which I absolutely love. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and more importantly didn’t try to upsell me on bigger and better parts for this system. My cousin is a gamer and after Matt was done helping me set up a system, it was only around $ 800! I will definitely be coming back to upgrade my own system in the future since their prices are almost the same as online!

Every time I come and try to use the veterans discount, it never ‘goes through’. As a veteran I find this insulting. If you don’t want to give a veterans discount, don’t advertise one.

I did a search in the Tri-Valley area for PC builders and Central Computers came up. I was looking to upgrade my PC system(I like gaming and needed something for Far Cry 4 and Dragon Age Inquisition). I was pleased that they opened a branch in Pleasanton. I first went to their online store to build my system — they have a good menu system where you spec out video card, MB, case, number and size of SSD and HDDs, etc. They use Corsair quite a bit, which has decent reputation. Their online store allowed you to pick up the machine only at their Newark or Santa Clara stores unfortunately. When the build was finished and I got the call from Lars at the Newark store, they agreed to ship to the Pleasanton store. The Pleasanton store is located next to In and Out in a busy strip mall. The store is a PC Builder’s paradise — it’s definitely not like Fry’s or Best Buy. They focus on having lots of parts and experts on staff with builds and repairs. They helped me load the PC into my back seat and gave me all the component boxes and manuals. Service was quick and friendly. It’s only been a few days but so far the new PC is very fast and quiet. It sorta glows in the dark too like an extra night light

Loved the prices at this store! The merchandise is so reasonably priced, and they have lots of cool stuff! Today was my first time in, and it felt like I was at Target– went in for one thing, came out with ten! Definitely going back to do some Christmas shopping! Lots of great gift ideas in there!

Excellent phone service backed up by in-house knowledgable personnel. They know what questions to ask. The store is easy to get to and I am very satisfied with their service. Highly recommended,

I actually come to this place more for cellphone accessories than I do for computers. But I suppose calling it Central Cellphone Accessories would be too much. Either way, I like their stock of mobile phone and computer equipment. They carry a wide range of adapters, cables, etc. But outside of that the selection is limited on variety, brands, etc. which is probably my only gripe about this store. The customer service is fairly good, they all know what they’re talking about and pointing you in the right direction. They aren’t going to try and sell you something you don’t need. Prices are competitive, although there are some items that are far less expensive than what you’d find at a computer or electronics store. The store is clean and very well organized(even the parts in the bins!). There is plenty of parking and it is in a good location off of the freeway.

Picked up my wife’s new computer today and she loves it, she wanted something that can handle Dragon Age inquisition when it comes out and I’m confident this will handle it like a champ. Erick helped me pick the parts and keep it mostly in my price range. Store is a little messy but staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely come back around Christmas to upgrade my machine

After communications with 2 different individuals at the company, they still refuse to do what it takes to get me a working laptop after their THREE failed repairs. TERRIBLE customer service, no business ethics. Perfect example of a company putting the profits of a single transaction above their reputation, ethics, and doing the right thing.

The store is nice but the staff seem lost. The basic knowledge on the items is lacking greatly. One example is when i went in to buy a usb Ethernet adapter for my mac book air, a staff took me to the place where it was hanging. I asked him if it would work on macbooks, he said he doesn’t know. I asked him if he had a usb 3 Ethernet adapter and he said no and i picked it off the shelf and showed him and he said huh i didnt know we had that. In the end he told me to buy it and take it home and try it, if it doesn’t work just bring it back. That was what i had to do but i expect the staff to know these basic stuff.

Great service at this location. I was looking for some help with getting a new MacBook charger. They got me in and out very quickly and I was out of the store and finishing up the rest of my days to do’s in no time.

i’ve been to central computers many times in the past decades(s.f., newark), the stores there are huge.(not so here when compared to Fry’s). this locale is sma. a golf supply store to be here. it’s 2 doors from Bewmo! buys: «deluxe» keyboard(7.95 on sale) takeouts: –saw iphone casings @2.95 –associates roam store to render assistance –most popular items available here, seem generic, name brands unsure –lots of parking definitely will come here for may phone/computer needs.
