Creekside Park notes –Lots of trees –Goes past/intersects Iron Horse Trail — good for game of lava monster. Penthouse life is nice. Penthouse has fire escape available for 3rd and 4th floors. 1st and 2nd floors need to be creative. Not a fan of the color scheme(goldenrod yellow with light green clashes). Nice tables with benches with an awning. Basketball court is playable with benches. Small Parking lot. Beach volleyball court exists. Only one water fountain near the basketball court that has too low pressure so you can’t drink anything without having your lips on the faucet part(but that’s disgusting, so practically no water to drink)

New play equipment! Please not that they changed the equipment in 2015, so any reviews/pictures of the structures from previous years are going to be out of date. The benches and shaded areas remain the same. The structures are very different. I have one autistic child so it was really cool to see a large variety of swing structures to provide vestibular input. The climbing structures are unique. I could see my older niece having a blast here, as well as the younger kids. Unfortunately, there is still no shade on the structures themselves. Parents will find plenty of shade though. Park is usually quite busy. This park contains bathrooms. It can be somewhat difficult to find, as the park is slightly back from the road and contains one small driveway. Look for the sign, not a park.

A hidden park that seems like it is created exclusively for the apartment complexes right next to it and across the road, which is the Las Positas Boulevard. It is not. It is a public park maintained by the City Of Pleasanton. The park has a sand Volleyball Court, a hand ball court that I’ve seen in the urban parks of New York City, a basket ball court, a softball field, and a children’s playground. The softball field is all grass. Doesn’t look like it has been used whatsoever. They DO have an awesome Wisteria Canopy with some sitting benches and dining benches. I went there on a hot day and as soon as I went under the canopy, I felt the cool breeze on my skin and even though I wasn’t tired, something came over me and I felt sleepy. The shade under the Wisteria canopy and the breeze felt so good; I decided to take a short nap on one of the benches. The nap was like 15 minutes, but it did rejuvenate me. The children’s playground is not shaded. So bring along sunscreen and hats for the kids. The park is usually deserted during high noon hours. The bathrooms don’t lock from the inside so you’ll have to make sure someone stays guard outside while you use the bathroom. I found that odd that the doors don’t lock from the inside. Wonder who designed that part. Come to think of it, there are quite a few fundamental designs flaws that are evident with this park. But other reviewers have pointed them out already. Plus, being a positive person that I am; I concentrate on the positives. The Eucalyptus trees near the car parking area remind me of the Peninsula. There aren’t a lot of Eucalyptus trees here in the Tri-Valley. LOVE the way Eucalyptus trees smell in the rain. Amazing! * There is a heart in one of the pics I’ve posted. A heart is also in one of my profile pics.

Blink and you might miss this one! Picnic tables are well shaded and there are 2 playstructures(big and little). Nice if you have more than one child since you can keep an eye on both kids. 2 baby swings.

Cool play structures a basketball court, a sand volleyball court and a paved loop around a large, flat grassy area that is perfect for kids learning to ride bikes. Not much shade here — the play structures are out in the sun, so bring sunscreen. There is a large trellis that provides shade over several picnic tables and benches. This park can get a little windy in the afternoons. This park has restrooms! A water-free park!
