iLash By Barbara

I read through Unilocal reviews carefully before I book with Barbara. Unfortunately the results and experience were not pleasant. I have been getting eye lash extensions since 2008, I know very well what a good extension suppose to be. During my appointment, she spent sometime to remove some of my old extensions. She then asked me to just remove extension and Coke back another day for extension. I told her that the reason I wanted to get my lash done that day was I wanted to look good for a dinner party the next day. She was not happy about that (btw, my appointment was the last one, not like I would take other people’s time, but rather a little bit more time of her time if she would like to). I told her at the very beginning, I wanted longer lashes, after its done, she used short lashes and told me she think they look better on me. I would appreciate if she inform me what she thinks is better for me when I told her what I wanted.
Disappointed on multiple account :
1. She decided for me regardless what I asked for;
2. Lashes were much thinner than what I normally get from my previous lash artist (she was fully booked till January). After I asked BAbara to add more, she quickly did some told me she is running out of time.
3. Lashes started to fall the same day, almost gone in a week and half.
Btw, she was trying to offer me to go back for a refill in the next couple days but she realize it would be thanksgiving weekend. She didn’t give me the offer.
1.5 weeks of extensions costed me $ 175 for the set plus tips and 90 minutes. Totally not worth it.

Barbara is the best! Can’t tell you how much attention to detail and time she spends making sure your lashes are just perfect. They don’t fall out quickly either which is wonderful! I love not having to wear any eye make up while still feeling presentable. She does a great job and stands behind the work she does. I would recommend her over other lash places that do not take the time to apply the lashes correct.

I would give zero stars if possible. I WOULD NOT recommend Barbara to do your lashes! First off, I’ve had eye lash extensions for about three years now so I know what a good eyelash extension specialist is like, but I unfortunately had to move back to the Bay Area and needed a new lady. Had a poor experience from a previous lady in the bay so I went to Barbara hoping for better results. I needed a full set and booked an appointment. SHE CANCELLED ON ME TWICE IN A ROW AND AN HOUR BEFORE MY APPTS! So unprofessional. Desperate to get my lashes done, she rescheduled me and finally got me in. I was happy with how they turned out. But during the appt she made my right eye burn excessively, and would try and blame the fact I had eye surgery and that’s what was causing the burning. Never apologized. My eyes are healed and surgery was over a month ago. So no, that wasn’t the issue. Then when I got them filled, again she made my right eye burn excessively! I had to ask her to fill both my eyes in more because she left TONS of my lashes without extensions. It was so irritating. You charge $ 70 for a fill, but yet you barely fill them! Then within 6 hours of getting my fill, a bunch of extensions fell out! Not my lashes, but just the extensions because she didn’t bond the extension to my lash properly. So unhappy. My lashes looked worse than when I came in for my fill. So I politely texted her explaining that many fell out, and guess what… NO RESPONSE. And then she proceeded to cash my check. I’m livid! You take my money and don’t fix your mistake? DO NOT GO TO HER!

Thank you to my fellow Unilocalers who gave Barbara recent reviews. Last weekend I needed a last minute, got to have them, eye lash extenstion application and looked up Unilocal for some reviews. Barbara called me back prompty and was able to squeeze me in the same day I called. I was prepared to be on the table for awhile as this does take time. I did fall asleep and 90 minutes went by pretty fast. My eye lashes not only look great, but she gave me really good instructions on how to take care of them.
My eye lashes look very natural, long and thick. Very youthful apperance, thank you Barbara, I will be back.

Barbara is fantastic! Having Lash extensions is a process

I just loved my lashes. They look great and I received a lot of compliments. It is so nice to be able to wake up in the morning and look nice without having to put makeup on. It cut my makeup routine down quite a bit. I agree with the other reviews about how natural they look. My husband loves them!!!
The experience was very relaxing. You just lie down and listen to soft music and before you know it, your lashes are on.
Parking is great too, even though she is located in downtown Pleasanton. There is a nice parking lot by her complex.
I give her 2 lashes up!!!

Amazing lash extensions applied by Barbara! I just love, love, love them. I just had them done today and they feel like my own lashes. It was a relaxing experience lying down and listening to soft music while she was putting them on.
I heard other people say when they had their extensions applied at other places they stung and they could even smell the glue. Well Barbara must use better products because I had no stinging and I didn’t even smell the glue. I’m glad I researched on Unilocal first and thankful I found her. She is a perfectionist in her trade, that is for sure!
My daughter had them done here too, and she agreed that this is the best place to have them done, as she had them applied at another place before, and they came out looking clumped and didn’t compare to how natural and full these look. :)
